Very slow service and food wasn't the best, very tough steak. Would not go back
First time for us, no special occasion. Service was GREAT! The food was special, we also had a special treat from the Chef. Desert was to die for, defiantly going back!
Filet Mignon was over cooked and dried out. The steak frites was overcooked and tasteless. I would not dine there again.
Great food and fantastic service. It was crowded, but we were served well and in reasonable time.
The food was cooked to perfection
Everyone we encountered was very kind and accommodating! I wish I was better with names so I could let them know how truly appreciative I was. From the two gentlemen who helped at the door, ensuring we were satisfied with the table, and the bubbles waiting for us, and our fun, friendly server, who didn't miss a beat during our wonderful dinner.
Thank you to the staff, both FOH and BOH!
Food was good although pricey. The crab cakes were the best part of dinner. The breads were also very good.
Dinner at Timberline was the perfect ending to our getaway trip to Blackhawk. Chad, our waiter, was great and made sure everything was perfect for us. Thank you!
Overall wonderful time. Food was great, staff was exceptional.
We frequent the Timberline whenever in Blackhawk. Great food as always ; lamb chops were divine and husband enjoyed prime rib....both perfectly cooked. JOysters were fresh.
The evening however was less than desirable due to an event that occupied half of the restaurant. I wish the restaurant would have given us a warning....would have planned another evening or different restaurant.
Was able to have conversation without shouting, waiter very attentive and ALL the food was outstanding. Very memorable!!!
Always the best especially our server Chad who is just outstanding!
The Lamb Chop and Halibut were excellent. Generous pours for our cocktails. A little pricey though. Best for a special occasion.
Not worth the prices. Steak served on a burning hot plate that caused it to overcook. The ceaser salad dressing tasted like fish and had some weird red garnish that didn't go. Paid $200 for the meal and it was not worth it. Our past experiences in the Timberline have been very high end food. The changes have not been good and we probably won't be back unless there's another change.
Excellent filet. The creamed spinach was the only drawback. Our server was quite cosmopolitan...
Service was slow and the drinks were bad, took my wife for our 2nd anniversary dinner
Food and service were excellent!
Loved my lamb and my husband said that that's the best pork chop he ever had
Great as always
My salmon and au gratin potatoes were extremely salty. My husband's prime rib was too rare and because he worked in a restaurant, he refuses to send anything back to the kitchen. Expensive dinner neither of us could finish.
I chose this Restaurant to celebrate my Birthday, we had a great meal, kept it simple Filet with a baked potato, steak was prepared perfectly and the potato was hot and fluffy, any time we visit Blackhawk we will be sure to stop in for dinner at the Timberline Grill.
We love this restaurant for the wonderful food-drinks and the service is great!!!!
Great food and ambiance. Staff was friendly and courteous. I would recommend this to anyone wanting a great meal in Blackhawk.
Maine Lobster was decent, it was very watery!! My husband ordered his steak well done, it was a little too crisp but it had a decent flavor.
Normally food has been excellent. My fish was dry. Otherwise it was good.
Not sure what was better? The food or the service? Let's say it's a tie, both were exceptional!! Would recommend to make the trip and go to the best spot in Blackhawk
Great food and supurb service!! I have eaten many meals at Timberline and it is awesome!!!!
This is a fine steakhouse. The menu has a wide range of options and each selection is tasty. The steaks are tender, the salads fresh, the sides are plentiful and the desserts sweet. The service is attentive and they don't rush you. I have tried other steakhouses in Black Hawk and think this is the best.
The setting is beautiful. However, for the price, it was not exceptional. I've eaten around the world in many fine restaurants and they were more innovative
The service is impeccable, the food outstanding. Reservations are handled with professional employees that are dressed to impress and they are always friendly.
Ceasar Salad had nothing but lettuce leaves and small amount of shredded parm. 5 little dots of red sauce it was a very very poor presentation 3 awful looking sardines it was a mess. I asked for a baked potatoe for a side got nothing. My husband was nice shared his. Drinks were good. Bread was not in a basket they were in a folded up napkin how ridiculous! they did not ask if we wanted more bread and it was skimped on! I mean come on bread as long as it took to get the meal? the oysters my husband ordered were lack luster too for the price of 257.00 it was a rip off. Not pleased at all with the price for dinner for two with two drinks. Like I said they did not even give me a baked potato or a side other than a salad although I asked!
Anniversary meal with my wife and we loved it. Steak was fantastic!
We enjoyed it but it seemed a bit overpriced. Although, we would go back next time we are in Black Hawk.
We dine at the Timberline frequently for special occasions. The food is always well prepared and the wait staff very friendly and attentive. It was our son and daughter-in-law's anniversary and they surprised tem with a dessert treat with a Happy Anniversary written on the plate.
Food was pretty good, but service was extremely slow. Took us awhile to be sat even with the reservations. Food took forever, drinks took forever to come. Both were very good when we finally did get them. I think this place is a little bit overpriced for what you get.
Our server was very nice, but the kitchen and bar were just so slow.
If you're ever at the Ameristar definitely check this place out! We usually like to dine at the Ameristar however for a special occasion we tried the Timberline and were not disappointed. I did order a dessert drink from the bar and took a little bit longer than I expected due to the waiter forgetting to enter it in however it was still worth the wait. If you're a meat lover definitely try the 22 ounce bone-in ribeye. They also have a nice selection of seafood including king crab, salmon, and scallops. Most bottles of wine are about $2 cheaper than ordering to your room just fyi. Overall enjoyed our experience!
Excellent service and food, great wine list, well worth the price.
Well. The meal was going well until they undercooked but the staff comped the ribeye. The staff was friendly. The wine and lamb and side dishes were excellent. Just don't buy the ribeye!
We joined the restaurant for my husbands 40th birthday. Service was good, food took a. It. It we did have a party of six. We all tried each others food and everything was absolutely, hands down amazing. I had the top sirloin and had to double check my check to make sure it wasn't filet. It was that good. Definitely plan on going back.
Our Waiter was very good. He helped us out with the gluten free menu part since my wife has a gluten sensitivity. Made us fill at home and had a great dessert for us since it was our Anniversary.
The first time I had the filet mignon it melted in my mouth. This last one was burned crispy on the outside and over cooked. I was disappointed but am willing to give them another try simply because the first one was so amazing.
We eat here whenever we are in Black Hawk. The food and service is always excellent.
