Noah was an awesome waiter and the food was excellent would definitely come again little pricey for a glass of wine but overall we had a wonderful time
We've been here many times and always have a very good dining experience. It's perfect to get away from the casino for a while.
Service was great, food was delicious! Thank you !! Our server Mariola was the best!!
The only downside was that I requested roses on my table for my anniversary and the request was not met. Food was great and staff were friendly.
Considered this the place to get a great bone in rib-eye and looked forward to our usuals on my birthday. Gone is the cranberry nut bread. Gone is the creme brûlée. Gone is the scalloped potatoes. Gone is the asparagus. Replaced with a bunch of overly complicated selections (forged and tamed mushrooms!)The food was just average...salad served on a hot plate, steaks lacking, baked potato with melted sour creme and one without bacon. Left very disappointed ☹️
I don't think they staffed enough help to cover the amount of people that were there that night in the restaurant. Food was good and when we did get served the server was polite and helpful. Ordered more bread but never got it.
I felt bad for the staff. There was only one server and she was overwhelmed. Management should have closed for the night. We've never had a bad night here, so we will be back no matter what. I just hope they have more staff on hand.
This is an expensive restaurant. Everything is ala carte, but that’s fine...being an expensive restaurant simply elevates the expectation level. My wife ordered the filet mignon medium ($38). When it arrived it was noticeably overcooked to the point that it was shriveled and burnt. I had a bone-in Ribeye cooked to expectation. She returned her filet and we patiently waited. Side dishes started getting cold. The second attempt arrived and the waitress asked her to check it. It was blue rare and inedible...so it had to go back. Eventually the third steak arrived by someone other than the waitress (it was medium rare but she just gave up and took it) and it came without the Bearnaise Sauce that was an add-on (we had to ask the server twice before we finally received some). The waitress never showed back up to check on the third steak or anything else we were missing. The sides were inedibly cold at this point. The waitress finally showed up with the $167 bill (for 2). I gently complained that the entire meal was a really bad experience. The waitress was rattled...mentioned that she was the only one there and that she would talk to her manager. They cut the bill to $87...an effort at least, but the experience was a huge disappointment and ruined what should have been a relaxing evening.
The food is always good and well presented, the service is always great!
Food was great, service was excellent, atmosphere was ok
Food and service excellent. Enjoyable, leisure dinner. Excellent bar and wine list
Happy Birthday to ME! Dinner was perfect...Hostess was amazing start to a delicious meal.
Food was good but way over priced. Service was so subpar. Waiter more interested in waitstaff than paying patrons.
Great service. Recommend making a reservation - they were very busy.
Great! Food was amazing and service was wonderful!
Beet salad was best I ever had and was presented very uniquely-more like a beet torte!
It was a little too cool to be comfortable. Our salad and shrimp were good. The filet was prepared to his satisfaction. My seafood pasta was Not very good. It was luke warm and very Spicey. I would not have it again. But I do like very spicey food
and that’s not a problem. This just was not very palatable. It did have 3 shrimp and the small scallops but nothing else. With the prices charged for the food they could no much better.
Prices increased due to Covid, Quality of food has decreased I’ve eaten here many times in the past. Chef seems to be less experienced than in the past.
Steak was way over cooked lobster tails dried up over cooked also n crab legs not pre cut for 600$ for 4 of us should of been better quality
Once again, we had a wonderful dinner experience at the Timberline in Blackhawk! The food was excellent and the service was outstanding! We'll see you again soon!
We had delicious food and great service. We started with a seafood platter with Oysters, crab legs, lobster, and shrimp. Very fresh and tasty. I have filet mignon with asparagus and it was cooked to perfection. Enjoyed a bottle of wine and had a very relaxing dinner. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Dinner for 2 was $240.00. I was charged $39.00 for an crab claw added onto my filet which was burnt on the outside and rare on the inside. It appeared to be the end cut of the tenderloin. No sides come with the meal.
Food & service was excellent.
Read reviews prior to reservation and most mentioned server Chad. I wholeheartedly agree that he makes the meal that much more enjoyable.
Prompt and knowledgeable server. Food was perfect. Bread service before dinner was fantastic (three assorted rolls and soft butter). My wife and I shared French Onion soup and Caesar salad for starters. Soup was delicious with crouton, melted cheese and delicious broth. The salad comes with delicious dressing, parmesan, crispy crouton toast and anchovy. For dinner we shared prime rib with baked potato and a lobster tail. Well seasoned beef cooked to perfection. The lobster was tender and succulent with clarified butter.
Best night out for my wife and I. Food was superb and wine list amazing. We will definitely be back to try more fabulous food
We had an amazing meal at Timberline Grill. The food was delicious, highly recommend the lamb lollipops! The service was great and it was the perfect setting to celebrate our son's 21st birthday.
Had a great dinner! Food was exceptional.
Wagu Ribeye was fantastic. One of best Caesar salads ever had. But the cream spinach was amazing and different with a sous vide egg on top.
Only downside was old fashion was sub par.
Food was so good! Our server Chad was great. Wine was delicious. Great experience.
Had a very enjoyable meal, with gentleman Jack as our waiter.
We always love spending special occasions at the Timberline! The food and service is always excellent! We'll see you again in the future! Thank you!
We love eating at Timberline Grill when we stay at Ameristar. This last time there was a table of very loud guests that apparently had a bit too much to drink so that took a bit of the ambience away from this visit.
Amazing service from Chad as always. He is very genuine and happy to be there for his customers. You can see this with everyone he serves. He makes our visit the best every time. The food is always top rated and the new items on the menu such as the Mac and cheese was fantastic and we hope it stays on the menu. French onion soup was something we tried for the first time and we will order it again and of course the pork chops are seasoned perfectly. Another great experience overall.
Our first time eating here was spectacular. The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. The service was excellent. Of course to top it off the food was AMAZING. We will definitely be going back.
Excellent food amd great service. Definitely going to return for dinner again.
Food was very average. Mushrooms weren’t even cooked and still raw. Filet was overcooked, unattractive, and not flavorful.
The menu had changed since last we visited. We were pleasantly surprised with the new items we tried. Can’t wait to go back. Absolutely delicious.
My wife had the scallops and I had the Berkshire Pork Chops. Both entrees were outstanding. Our side of Creamed Spinach was delicious.
However, a $12 glass of house red wine and an $8 beer was too pricey!
Hold on to your wallet!!
Two entrees, two drinks and one side took my $100 Bill. Add $20 more for tip and there you have it.
