food and service was on point. a little disappointed that their wasn't a hot sea-food dish but, the cold smoked salmon was a descent substitute. maybe add a second vegi to the steamed carrots. all in all a great venue. will be back.

We invited family for Thanksgiving Buffet. We had previously had brunch months ago and were very satisfied, so we expected good food and nice atmosphere for Thanksgiving.
Waitress was ok. But food was a major disappointment.
Turkey and mashed potatoes Ok, but what is Thanksgiving without stuffing and Turkey gravy?
When we first started at buffet there was not any Au-Jus,for the beef , which we found to be hard to even cut. This should not have even been included it, it was that bad. No butter , we ordered from kitchen. At least dessert was acceptable.
A major black eye for Arbor from all of us an embarrassing disapointment for us after an hour drive and certainly will not look to any buffet in the future or recommendation.

Dinner buffet is $25 dollars.....pricey for the hot food being cold. And we were seated right when they opened. So not sure how long the food had been sitting there.

We went to the Timber Dining room to celebrate my birthday. It was a great evening and we are hoping to come back again. We have eaten at the Timber Dining Room before and have always been satisfied with the food and the service.

As usual, our Sunday lunch was stellar! Service was great, food scrumptious, reservations on time, and handled our special needs (window for great view). I would highly recommend the Timber Dining Room at The Lied Center!

In my opinion this was lackluster food at best; I would compare it to your standard hotel conference quality. Despite arriving right when the breakfast buffet started, I found most of the food was cold and dry. Good flavors and plenty of options however. The lodge itself is gorgeous and so was the view.

Excellent food and presentation. The dining hall is exactly that...it looks like a cafeteria dining area; however, the food could have been served at an upscale restaurant. I took pictures of my food because my plate looked so pretty. If you are looking for good food, it's great. If you are looking for romantic or upscale environment, maybe not this restaurant.

The quality of the food was a disappointment. It just didn't match the rest of the experience. However the quality keep me from complaining about the quantity. I had a brisket sandwich which was covered with a whole lot of green leaves but little else.

Service was excellent! We have eaten the breakfast buffet at the Timber Room many times and the food is quite good. There is a variety of choices. Nice setting and this time they did seat us by the window so had wonderful view. Will definitely go back to this place.

My husband always stop in for Sunday Brunch after going to the car show during the Apple Jack Festival. Timber Dining Room has a clean quiet environment and a beautiful view of grounds and Morton house. I've been trying to talk my husband into spending a Thanksgiving weekend at the lodge.

We dined here during the annual Applejack Festival. We recieved polite and friendly service upon arrival and we're seated right away. Food was excellent, especially the cold smoked salmon. The brunch menu provided an omlet station, waffle bar, salads, standard hot breakfast items, 3 hot lunch proteins including a carving station, hot potatoes & vegetables, and a nice dessert selection. The grand views from dining room and outdoor seating equally match the interior design and feel of this charming place. Its located in a great hotel on a beautiful property. This place is a must see when visiting Nebraska City.

The only thing that would have made our meal better would have been the ability to order the Sonoma Cutrer Chardonnay by the glass. Always happy to find this great California wine outside California. Our meal were very good, and the service was also good.

Stopped at the Timber Dining Room, Lied Center, as the final leg in an eclipse day trip. The bar and dining room were busy but not crowded. A table by the wall of windows provided a lovely view of the sky, a stand of trees and the Morton mansion. My husband very much enjoyed the buffet , salad and dessert bars. I had the salmon on quinoa with really huge Brussels sprouts. We had the brie as an appetizer along with a Caesar and cup of pumpkin soup. It was way too much food. The salmon and quinoa served as lunch today, and it was still superb. Highly recommended.

I had a guest from PA and one from WA who came to stay with me in Omaha so we could drive down and see the solar eclipse in the 100% totality zone. Afterwards, we ate at the Lodge and they were very pleased with the buffet (as I was, too) and the beauty of the lodge as well. Well done!

We ate several family meals here over the Great American Eclipse weekend. It was a bit pricey but a better deal on the weekend (buffet around $20 per person, and kids under 5 were free) than on Monday ($13 for an omelet, $9 for a bagel and cream cheese). There was still a buffet during the week but more limited than the weekend options.

We chose the dinner buffet as well--not as sexy as the menu but better value. Someone told me the restaurant profits go to the Arbor Day Foundation or similar, so if you view your payment as patronage it's easier to justify. :)

The kids' menu was especially remarkable: veggie mac n cheese and salmon with orange butter sauce were a couple standout offerings for the younger ones. Overall we were happy with the service and food quality; the view toward the forested hills and historical mansion was gorgeous. I'd go back for a nice dinner with just my husband if we lived in the area.

For dinner Wife ordered soup and baked potato. Soup had to be returned to heat first potato barely warm replaced with another potato same way. I had buffet. I've never had pork and flank streak so tough to cut or chew. Only after requesting steak knife able to cut meat without difficulty. The rest of buffet ok but hardly worth the charge. Only possible because of lack of competition The next morning I had biscuits and gravy along with scrambled eggs and hash browns. The eggs were tough and the only thing worth eating was the potatoes. The servers were friendly and attempted to please but product made that impossible

Loved dinner. Nice variety. Well presented. Excellent service

Your Sunday breakfast buffet was pricey. We are not big eaters and $18 was really a high price for a scoop of eggs, 2 sausage, fruit and a scone. No other options were offered.

We both had the chicken fried steak and eggs. The gravy and steak a bit on the greasy side but good. Couldn't tell if it was the fried steak that was greasy or the gravy. Lite on the gravy for a meal like that. My rye toast and my husband's english muffin were very good a little too lightly toasted for my husband's liking.

The location was beautiful and the ambiance great. I loved this location and would recommend for meetings and retreats. However, every day dining, I would not recommend. I ate the swordfish and the fish was good, but bland. The fish had something like a gray gravy on top, which was not good at all. In addition, my boyfriend ordered the prime rib. He said that it was average and that he's had much better. He thought that it would be better based on the price. As we were driving home he commented that we won't be going there again for dinner as it wasn't worth what we received.

The food was very tasty, nice, relaxing atmosphere, beautiful view, and service was very good. We had prime rib that was so tender, you really didn't need a knife. We had dinner and breakfast and enjoyed both. The dining and lodge are beautiful. Love all the wood. Highly recommend this restaurant.
