Food and service were very good. Prices were a little high.
Great food and great atmosphere. We had 2 wonderful meals.
Have been here once a year for 20 yeRs. Usually just a winter get away for a night or for Valentine’s Day Food has been very good to great. Hopefully was just an off night and this hasn’t become the norm
Dinner was a disappointment. I ordered the cornish hen. Served in a large bowl with grits.
Chicken was tough and difficult to cut and flavor was overwhelmed by the grits. Veggies were under done. Carrots were like eating one raw. Husband had the steak and he thought it was very good. Service was very good. Dining room is beautiful and a very nice place to have Valentine supper.
Very nice restaurant ambience. The appetizer was mediocre but the Cornish hen was great!
The restaurant had a buffet, but we ordered from the menu. The entrees were delicious and well presented. The cocktails were good. The dessert had an excellent presentation and was also delicious. There were some kids (including ours). Our kids ate all of their food, so it must've been good.
Everything was great despite a dirty, dusty table.
Great service, food and atmosphere.
Great service and very good good! We really enjoyed our trip there!
Wife and I did our usual New Year’s Day Brunch at the Lied Center in Nebraska City.
Our reservation was at 11:45, and the dining room was nearly empty.
I thought one of the meats was to be prime rib, but I was wrong.
We did the salad bar which was okay.
The main line had brunch items. I skipped the breakfast items and went for the bean, baby carrot and sliced pepper strip entrée, which was hot and good.
There was a container of quartered, browned potatoes, which I had some of, then to the carved sirloin.
The vegetables were good, but cutting the quartered potatoes was impossible with the table knife, and cutting the sirloin was equally difficult.
I think the quartered potatoes were leftovers from another meal, and the sirloin possibly left over from Thanksgiving.
The “cheesecake” turned out to be a rather tart lemon filling in a mini pie crust. The little chocolate cupcakes were really good, but the half Oreo cookie on top was rather soggy.
The chairs near the window looked comfortable, until you sat down, and I thought I was going to fall through. These chairs need to be replaced!
Two $18.00 meals cost me @$44.00 with all the taxes.
I just don’t think we’ll be going there again.
The food quality was poor. Over cooked tasteless mixed vegetables, the rice was tasteless with a mushy texture and no seasoning, the lamb had a beautiful presentation but was strong and of poor quality. The roast beef was good, but odd not to have a potato option with roast beef. Rolls were dry, chocolate cake was not worth the calories, dry and a grainy texture. Waffles were good, Salad bar was nice, the omelette was very good. All told, not a meal we would return for.
