everything went well till I found several hairs in the supper. desert was amazing. still best place in neb city.
It was a Friday night and a large church group was there which made restaurant very noisy. After they left, it was a quiet dining experience! Food is outstanding and service is fine.
the food and service was great! It was a very nice celebration.
Outstanding....what a wonderful meal for a special weekend.
Food and service were very good. Prices were a little high.
Great food and great atmosphere. We had 2 wonderful meals.
Have been here once a year for 20 yeRs. Usually just a winter get away for a night or for Valentine’s Day Food has been very good to great. Hopefully was just an off night and this hasn’t become the norm
Dinner was a disappointment. I ordered the cornish hen. Served in a large bowl with grits.
Chicken was tough and difficult to cut and flavor was overwhelmed by the grits. Veggies were under done. Carrots were like eating one raw. Husband had the steak and he thought it was very good. Service was very good. Dining room is beautiful and a very nice place to have Valentine supper.
Very nice restaurant ambience. The appetizer was mediocre but the Cornish hen was great!
The restaurant had a buffet, but we ordered from the menu. The entrees were delicious and well presented. The cocktails were good. The dessert had an excellent presentation and was also delicious. There were some kids (including ours). Our kids ate all of their food, so it must've been good.
Everything was great despite a dirty, dusty table.
Great service, food and atmosphere.
Great service and very good good! We really enjoyed our trip there!
Wife and I did our usual New Year’s Day Brunch at the Lied Center in Nebraska City.
Our reservation was at 11:45, and the dining room was nearly empty.
I thought one of the meats was to be prime rib, but I was wrong.
We did the salad bar which was okay.
The main line had brunch items. I skipped the breakfast items and went for the bean, baby carrot and sliced pepper strip entrée, which was hot and good.
There was a container of quartered, browned potatoes, which I had some of, then to the carved sirloin.
The vegetables were good, but cutting the quartered potatoes was impossible with the table knife, and cutting the sirloin was equally difficult.
I think the quartered potatoes were leftovers from another meal, and the sirloin possibly left over from Thanksgiving.
The “cheesecake” turned out to be a rather tart lemon filling in a mini pie crust. The little chocolate cupcakes were really good, but the half Oreo cookie on top was rather soggy.
The chairs near the window looked comfortable, until you sat down, and I thought I was going to fall through. These chairs need to be replaced!
Two $18.00 meals cost me @$44.00 with all the taxes.
I just don’t think we’ll be going there again.
The food quality was poor. Over cooked tasteless mixed vegetables, the rice was tasteless with a mushy texture and no seasoning, the lamb had a beautiful presentation but was strong and of poor quality. The roast beef was good, but odd not to have a potato option with roast beef. Rolls were dry, chocolate cake was not worth the calories, dry and a grainy texture. Waffles were good, Salad bar was nice, the omelette was very good. All told, not a meal we would return for.
We love this place! So peaceful and always a great fit, for any occasion.
Took 3 attempts to get a HOT cup of coffee! Served in thermo-pots and was lukewarm by time it would get to us. Waitress was attentive and brought freshly brewed pots directly to table to solve the problem. Soups were also lukewarm and had to be reheated.
My husband and I spent the last few days at the lodge. The accommodations and food are excellent. Very nice staff, great choices, large portions. Looking forward to going back again.
Always a favorite place for special occasions. Great buffet.
Excellent dining. Christmas Eve dinner was quiet and very high quality
The food was delicious. It was pricey, but we were not disappointed at all.
It was good! Wished there would have been a little more selection for food but overall good
Went in for Sunday Brunch with Santa and very much enjoyed it. The food was excellent, service staff was excellent, and Santa was Excellent. My kids enjoyed it, as did we.
The carved whole roasted sirloin was pretty top notch. Looking forward to going back.
food and service was on point. a little disappointed that their wasn't a hot sea-food dish but, the cold smoked salmon was a descent substitute. maybe add a second vegi to the steamed carrots. all in all a great venue. will be back.
We invited family for Thanksgiving Buffet. We had previously had brunch months ago and were very satisfied, so we expected good food and nice atmosphere for Thanksgiving.
Waitress was ok. But food was a major disappointment.
Turkey and mashed potatoes Ok, but what is Thanksgiving without stuffing and Turkey gravy?
When we first started at buffet there was not any Au-Jus,for the beef , which we found to be hard to even cut. This should not have even been included it, it was that bad. No butter , we ordered from kitchen. At least dessert was acceptable.
A major black eye for Arbor from all of us an embarrassing disapointment for us after an hour drive and certainly will not look to any buffet in the future or recommendation.
Great atmosphere! Good food.
Dinner buffet is $25 dollars.....pricey for the hot food being cold. And we were seated right when they opened. So not sure how long the food had been sitting there.
We went to the Timber Dining room to celebrate my birthday. It was a great evening and we are hoping to come back again. We have eaten at the Timber Dining Room before and have always been satisfied with the food and the service.
As usual, our Sunday lunch was stellar! Service was great, food scrumptious, reservations on time, and handled our special needs (window for great view). I would highly recommend the Timber Dining Room at The Lied Center!
In my opinion this was lackluster food at best; I would compare it to your standard hotel conference quality. Despite arriving right when the breakfast buffet started, I found most of the food was cold and dry. Good flavors and plenty of options however. The lodge itself is gorgeous and so was the view.
Excellent food and presentation. The dining hall is exactly that...it looks like a cafeteria dining area; however, the food could have been served at an upscale restaurant. I took pictures of my food because my plate looked so pretty. If you are looking for good food, it's great. If you are looking for romantic or upscale environment, maybe not this restaurant.
The quality of the food was a disappointment. It just didn't match the rest of the experience. However the quality keep me from complaining about the quantity. I had a brisket sandwich which was covered with a whole lot of green leaves but little else.
Cindy was great. Very prompt, professional, and courteous. Thanks.
Beautiful restaurant in a beautiful lodge in small town Nebraska. Worth the drive.
Service was excellent! We have eaten the breakfast buffet at the Timber Room many times and the food is quite good. There is a variety of choices. Nice setting and this time they did seat us by the window so had wonderful view. Will definitely go back to this place.
Everything at Lied Lodge is top notch and this restaurant is no exception. Delicious food, great service, beautiful atmosphere.
Excellent surroundings and view, good food at a decent price, friendly staff. We plan on staying at the lodge and dining here again!
Great service and atmosphere. Corn chowder was very bland. Steak cooked perfectly. Asparagus under done. Nice lodge and location
always an enjoyable fall outing, good food, good weather, just a good day
Excellent service- do not require a customer to write more than what is an honest evaluation as this forces one to make up a statement
$34 filet was pricy for the quality; prime rid was tough
Very expensive for the quality of food.
Nice building and view.
