Four of us enjoyed a belated Valentines dinner. Jackalope was recommended by a friend and we were impressed. Everything was wonderful especially our extremely attentive and professional waiter and extensive wine list. The food was fabulous! The only small disappointment was that the Osso Bucco needed some sauce but the snitzel was wonderful!

It was our fist time in Bend and according the reviews, we made reservation. Everything was delicious, we can feel the French inspiration . Great job. The only reason I didn’t put 5 stars is the dessert, I am a chocolate lover and definitively the pot de crème au chocolat was really under the level of the meal. Too sweet , coarse texture not really smooth as it should be . May be try the French chocolate valhona or even Cacao Barry . But I am talking only for me and I am French so ....

The duck was extraordinary. Yet the ahi tuna dish left me wanting something more. I am not a chef but I have had better ahi tuna dishes for much cheaper. Be a little more adventurous. Overall I will return there may be plenty more dishes I have yet to love.

They were short on wait staff so it took forever to get service. We were a party of 4 and only 2 of us liked our meals. The Salmon was under cooked and the calamari was just ok - not a big fan of panko. Too expensive for the service and the food. Probably will not go back.

After a slow service start our dinner turned out very well. Both the menu choices and wine list are outstanding. Service could have been slow as a result of being a off-night (Monday) and only two wait people.

I love the Jackalope. The food is wonderful. My cioppino Monday evening was delicious from sauce to salmon. The atmosphere is so lovely. It’s clear the other guests are enjoying themselves, but we can enjoy our own conversation. And, every server I’ve ever had has been exceptional - attentive, but never intrusive, helpful, knowledgeable about all the wonderful dishes and willing to accommodate sharing and substitutions. For visiting with a friend, a romantic evening, taking Mom to dinner, or hungry for a delicious meal, you will be very happy you’re at Jackalope.

My husband and I have never been to Jackalope in the 22 years we have lived here in Bend.
We were told it was really expensive and the food selection was different.
We decided to try the happy hour for our first experience. We got the back corner so maybe
that is why we really liked it. The red wine was delicious for happy hour. The food selection (5 items ?) was a bit sparse but we did order the sweet potato fries & calamari. They were both delicious. My husband wanted more so he ordered off the menu and got some pasta/sausage dish that he said was one of the best tasting dishes he'd ever again he was pleased.
I ordered the pear salad which was good but not really what I thought it would be but it was tasty.
Overall we loved our first experience and our waiter was great. (the bartender)

I love this place! The food was wonderful. I had the Salmon and my husband the Ahi and they were some of the best we ever had, perfectly cooked. Try the crab stuffed mushrooms appetizer and the grilled romaine salad.

Our group of 5 felt the food was good but overpriced. We had appetizers and dessert plus wine so we spent a significant amount and felt the dessert was the best thing served. The ambiance is beautiful but not sure we will return anytime soon.
