Tilted Kilt Ratings and Reviews
Extremely rude staff.Used this app to get a table before a Cavs game. The hostess couldn't have been ruder... She very rudley denied my reservation for a table and pushed us aside like we were a nusance. Although I did like the tilted kilt before, this experience will prevent me from coming back.
Service was horrible. Waitress couldn't answer questions that I had about menu. Asked for a drink refill took forever. They brought appetizers without small plates and then that took a while to get. Restaurant wasn't that busy for the amount of time it took us to get service. Disappointed!
When I got there, I tried to explain that I had made reservations on OpenTable. The music is so freakin loud that they could not understand what I was saying... lots of blank stares. The manager finally came over to me and told me that the location in Anaheim does not take reservations. Bottom line... food is good, service is good, music is way too loud unless you really don't like talking to each other.
We were in a little rush before an event. Drinks and appetizers were served within the allotted time frame. Appetizers were as expected. We were in before the evening rush, therefore able to have conversation without being drowned out by music or crowd. Staff very pleasant.
I reserved a table for a group of ten to see the Cubs win the World Series on Nov. 2 after we had an orchestra rehearsal on South Wabash. The table was waiting for us as soon as we entered the restaurant, and on this particular night, we were glad that the restaurant manager had taken the trouble to puts signs on our tables to keep them available for our arrival. Our waitress, Lauren, was very busy that night, but she gave us plenty of attention and remained calm throughout the evening. She was patient even though we had some late-comers in the group, and rendered excellent and regular service to all. She even obliged us by taking a photo of us as we ended our night of celebration there! Our group has often dined there following our rehearsals on Wednesday nights, and we will back again soon.
First time at this restaurant. The place was very nice, clean, and very good for a date. The wait staff were attentive and sensitive. I would have given 5 stars if the food was better. The food was just not as good as expected. Not bad, just not outstanding either. The food was cooked well and served hot but lacked flavor. Just sort of plain.
I had chosen Tilted Kilt because it is usually a great place to go and it is very convenient for large groups. I had made a reservation for 20 people and it was an special occasion and I had invited my friends.
Though they had the table ready when we reached there, the service was extremely slow. We had to hunt down the waitress(es) even to get refill of water. When we ordered some shots, it took 20 minutes or so to get them - and this is an irish pub for God's sake!
It was not the case that the restaurant was too crowded. We had gone on Thursday night and it was super cold - so the place was half empty.
The end result is that instead of celebrating a special occasion with my friends, I ended up embarassed as I had to keep them waiting and waiting for no good reason. Many of them had taken time out on a weeknight to come congratulate me.
The food was good and the drinks were good. So I would go back there, but next time it will not be my first choice.
My friends and I was looking a reasonable sports bar downtown! We thought we found a gem however the food was mediocre at best and the drinks were a little weak.on a brighter note our waitress, Dana, was excellent. She was very attentive to our group and provided prompt service. This is my second time dining at Tilted Kilt and I've been disappointed both times in the food area.
It just felt blah from the moment we stepped into the restaurant. It reminds me of a cheap, franchised gentleman's club. If I was mid 50's, unhappily married I may have enjoyed the experience. Ordered a drink that should've been great but it was blah. Just didn't enjoy myself
