Very disappointed in the downward trend. Menu has changed, lower quality ingredients for the same price, particularly the chicken fried steak. It was so loud you could not be heard over the DJ for any dinner conversation. The place is too small for that level of noise. Waitress was very sweet & efficient but it could not make up for the lack of ambiance and the decrease in food quality. Will not be back.
Went for the Chicken and Waffles and loved it. Great Brunch spot. We are already planning our next visit.
The food was totally blah. And no S&P shakers on the table which would have at least added some depth to the meal. Nothing special at all but the prices were really quite high for the food that was offered. Won't be going back.
5 friends catching up -- perfect for conversing -- everyone's meal was terrific -- the carafe of mimosa was a great value.
They were known for their Chicken fried steak, but they changed it from filets to what tasted like roundeye, definitely forgettable and not worth the price. And they downgraded their smores to only one flavor. And they were severely short staffed, which caused our food to take at least an hour. The place was run a lot better before the management change. In fact everything about the restaurant was better before the management change. Seriously.
Great food. Waitress was friendly and offered suggestions. Recommend the table side s'mores for dessert.
I have been coming to Tillman's for 8 years now. Was excited to take my girlfriend who had not been there yet. Unfortunately, we came on a night where your manager had only 2 waiters... Not sure why he would have only 2 waiters come in on a Thursday night, but that really hurt the service. I don't blame the waiter that we had because it was obvious he was really busy so I blame the manager for not doing his job of having a complete staff. If there was a no show, then he (the manager) should have been out there waiting on tables. Was a very disappointing experience and I have to say that I don't think we'll come back after that.
Also, ordered the NY Strip steak and planned on having the leftovers the next day for lunch. Asked the waiter to box up the leftovers but he threw the $30 steak away! Which just topped off the bad experience that we had. Very unfortunate because I really liked your restaurant but there are plenty of choices in Dallas that can staff their restaurant for a Thursday night dinner.
The chicken fried steak is great! The chef came out to tell us we ordered the best thing he makes :)
We went to Tillman's Roadhouse for our Family Easter Sunday Brunch. the staff was very pleasant, friendly and efficient. the food was delicious, well prepared and presented. I would highly recommend this restaurant for brunch, lunch or dinner.
I had the Eggs Benny, my husband had the grilled steak ham, and my son had the chicken fried steak.
Birthday brunch and it was amazing!
nos encanto el ambiente y lo pasamos bien con nuestros amigos
We have been there many times for a dinner meal and have always been pleased.
We went for my wife's birthday and tried the Sunday Brunch. We were disappointed in the food.
It is average at best. Nothing special at all.
Great dessert and drinks. The fireside s'mores was fun and delicious! The Whiskey menu was extensive with great house craft cocktails as well.
Delicious food. the chef came to the table to asked how we were enjoying our meal and the manager as well. Everyone was very nice.
Tillman's staff went out of their way to make our evening special. The food was awesome, especially the Chicken Fried Steak and the S'mores. All in all it was a great experience.
We were looking forward to checking out the "new" Tillman's. Unfortunately the manager's handling of a comment on one dish left us surprised, to say the least. His interaction left us dumbstruck, and quite disappointed. Otherwise the food was good, and we had had a nice evening up until the manager basically ruined our experience.
The food, the service, it was all fantastic. Just go, go now.
Tillman's was amazing! From the time we walked into the door and walked out it was perfection. This will most definitely be our go to date restaurant!!
We went for my wife's birthday. The server abandoned our table half way through our meal to work a party in a separate room. We enjoy Tillman's, the food was great but the service was subpar.
I was in Dallas for a meeting and was looking for a casual fun place for dinner. Tillman' was recommended. We had the fried okra and three types of French fry appetizers - both very good. We had the Four Corners chicken and stuffed chile main courses which were excellent. We finished off with s'mores made at the table which alone was worth the trip!
Great food with a unique personal twist that make its flavor something special. Chef Morabito is truly a food genius! Anyone that make what seems like a common dish unique is genius.
Great food, good environment, friendly but inattentive service.
Went to Tillman's for a Sunday evening family dinner and we all had great cocktails, great food and it was a wonderfully comfortable place to spend time together.
Great brunch menu. I highly recommend the chili relleno, and if you have room share the table-side smores desert.
My wife and came to Tilman's for valentine dinner. This evening the restaurant was doing a fixed menu. My wife and I showed up at 7:30 and did not get our first course salad until 8:30. Our waitress mush have forgotten to put out order in because she came back stating not to worry but asked to repeat our 3rd course meal. My food was way undercooked for my second and third course. Management must have been advised of our poor service and food as they comped one of the two meals. Overall while the place looks decent I would not go back and wouldn't recommend this place to any friends or family.
Awesome Valentine's night, was a special menu and I couldn't have picked a better place to go. Very comfortable and noise level was low enough where you could have a conversation.
Food is amazing since it changed owners. Went for brunch. Eggs Benedict was the best I've ever tasted
This was our first time under the new management/ownership. We were seated immediately and the hostess was friendly. Our waitress was fantastic and answered the few questions we had and suggested the blood orange mimosas. We loved them!!! The owner checked on us and our waitress kept an eye on us without being overbearing. The chicken fried steak and eggs was amazing and the tenderloin omelet was great too. We will be back!!!AND parking was a cinch with the valet!!
I appreciate the makeover. Much more inviting than before. Menu gives Stock N Barrell some competition.
A great choice for a girls' nite out. Wonderful service and food was fabulous! Don't skip this place.
This was our first trip to Tillman's since the remodel and change of ownership. Disappointed with it. They took something unique and made it mediocre. Food was good, but not great. We miss the old Tillmans
The CFS was not a filet like the first time I came. The CFS was the reason we came back
Great food, wonderful service. The waitstaff was attentive to our needs and very interactive and friendly. Can't wait to go back!
For appetizer I ordered the crab cakes, they were very good! I would recommend for you to try them. The main entrée was the 28z New York Strip, it was ok. Not too much flavor and it was rough to cut. Didn't finish it because I really didn't care for it. The mac and cheese was nothing to brag about. For dessert, I recommend the S'mores. The service was very good and the atmosphere makes the place, a good place to take a date but don't have high expectations. The price was comfortable
My husband and I went here for dinner on New Year's Eve. They had a special menu which gave a choice of specific items from their regular menu for a set price, with or without alcoholic beverages added. The food was great and the service was great even with the place being packed. This was our first time to have dinner here and we will definitely be going back.
New Years Dinner was just OK. We ordered drinks at the bar to kick off our evening. The bartenders were not friendly at all, they poured drinks like they were in a rush but they were not busy at all. Our waitress was very nice and the food was very good once we got it. Seemed to take a very long time between appetizer's and the main course. 5 out 6 plates came out at the same time but the last one came several minutes later. They ran out of there prefix menu dessert. Poor planning for a New Years Eve menu offering.
Food was good! Service slow because it was New Years Eve but no big deal!
Everything was great, except two in our group had the sirloin, and both of the steaks were very tough/chewy and flavorless.
Tillmans has new owners and new decor. The remodel is nicely done, loved the old place but the bar is now more open and inviting. Our bartender was very pleasant.
The food is still very good. We all ordered something different and no one was disappointed. Our server was charming and knowledgeable.
We will definitely come back.
Was our first time and it was great!
