Ordered filet and rec’d a NY strip with so much fat and a side of french fries! I don’t pay $50 for a steak to receive basically a pork chop with french fries.
I was disappointed on my first experience at Tillman’s Roadhouse. Although it was a Sunday and the crowd was moderate, my table of 4 waited for 30 minutes for a server to ask if we wanted anything to drink and immediately left once our drink orders were taken instead of taking our food orders when we stated we were ready to order. It took the drinks anothe 20 minutes to arrive which were only waters. After finally ordering our food we waited a another 35 minutes only for the food to be cold and over cooked. When we asked for the food to be taken back and served fresh the waitress acted as if it was too much of a hassle. Needless to say we will not be returning.
Went expecting some place with Roadhouse in the name to have a steak or two on the menu, but disappointed to only see skirt steak. I'm sure it would have been good, but want what I had in mind..... So I went with my trusty fall back of a pork chop and was glad I did. Wish the asparagus was a little less wilty, but the jalapeno spoon bread was pretty dang awesome. Generous pour of the Pinot Grigio and a cute little s'mores dessert for my birthday rounded out the evening with nicely. My husband had the chicken and said it was tasty as well. Service was properly attentive by a friendly waitstaff. Only complaint of the night is the bench seating which made me feel like a five year old not able to reach the table. It needs a thicker cushion. I'm 5' 6" and it was uncomfortable to reach as well as sit so much lower than my husband in the chair across from me. The person seated next to me mentioned the same thing as we were leaving.
Food was delicious and service was awesome! Highly recommend the blood orange ritas and finish the meal with the s’mores! They are awesome!!!
Chicken had a good flavor but was really chewy
Good food, good service. Love the Bishop Arts area.
Reservation was attempted to be seated right inside the door in a half empty dining room, request to be more centrally placed at other empty tables was not greeted warmly but grudgingly accommodated by the unfriendly hostess. Food was far from great, best thing was the biscuits, some sort of whitefish was substituted for the Salmon as the kitchen ran out and it was awful and extremely fishy, there was a 45 minute wait between appetizers and entrees, and then 1 entree served 5 minutes before the remaining diners received theirs. Service was inattentive and slow - I approached our server to ask would our entrees be delivered soon and she apologized and did buy our 1 round of drinks to apologize for the kitchen's slow delivery. Unfortunately I can not recommend this restaurant based on my experience and in an area where there are so many options, I recommend you try somewhere else.
Food was excellent! The server was super friendly & fantastic, the manger stopped by to say hello & was so nice too!
Great experience with one minor exception, the hostess. She was cleaning the glass on the front door & wouldn’t stop as we were standing right in front of her waiting to come in for a while. Finally, I just opened the door & said excuse me so we could enter the place. She acted entitled, moody & annoyed to be there & have to speak to us.
Not a good first impression but the servers hospitality quickly made up for it.
Neat atmosphere our waiter Sunny was really helpful. Chicken Fried Steak is a good choice
Overall it was pretty good. However they ran out of the 2 desserts they were offering and the 2 replacement options were pretty lame. Was a disappointing ending to a fairly good meal.
We went for the Mother's Day Brunch. The food was great! The servers were very nice and attentive. As a matter of fact, the entire staff... from the chef to the hostess... was VERY nice and accommodating.
It was a great experience and I would certainly recommend this place to others for special occasions.
Went for a Mother’s Day brunch. They had a fixed menu for Mother’s Day. I don’t always like that, but I understood for the holiday crowd, and they did give a couple of choices. I got the chicken fried steak and eggs and it was great!! The steak was the best! The desserts...I got the chocolate lava cake, very rich. My husband got the lemon blueberry icebox pie jar and he loved it! I should have gone with that as well. Service was great!!
We went to Tillman’s for Mother’s Day Brunch. We were excited as we like to have brunch in Bishop Arts. We had never been to Tillman’s and had read some good reviews. When we arrived we were seated and immediately found a fixed menu on our table. $38.....3 courses, and the “option” to purchase a pastry board (instead of putting in basket it was three pastries on a cutting board). There were two options for starters and about 6 entrees and 2 desserts. Overall the food was sub par. I actually had the best thing on the menu (Shrimp and Grits). We had a
Couple people order chicken and waffles, country fried steak, etc. The desserts were pretty good but forced on you by the Pre-Fixe and not something I ever see people order at brunch. Positive note, the Cocktails were good and also very well priced.
Overall the experience was tainted by the surprise pre-fixe menu. I had reservations for at least 6 weeks and my wife
even called that week to add a person to the reservation. I don’t understand how that change in menu is not emailed, a courtesy call, or mentioned to my wife when she called. Also $38 is steep for breakfast when you aren’t including cocktails or even a pastry.....it’s s shame because we were looking forward to this spot for while.
Great Mothers Day brunch! The avocado salmon toast was delicious! Loved the decor and atmosphere.
I would give this experience a higher review but the noise was deafening and really killed the evening.
Had semi-high hopes, but was underwhelmed by the food and atmosphere. I won't return.
Great place for my friend's birthday brunch. Sonny gave us great customer service.
Service was super slow but the staff was apologetic about it (said they were short staffed). The food was delicious!
Music was very loud- hard to hear what my date said across the table.
The service started off slower than I would have liked but the food more than made up for it in the end!
Had a brunch date here and it was very good food with a intimate environment.
As always, Tillman's was excellent. Waitress was very friendly. The food was excellent. We had a great glass of wine.
This is more of a contemporary take on a Texas Roadhouse. I'd call it more urban cowboy, or just plain urban. It's noisy and the seating puts everyone in close contact with their neighbors.
The food choices are not what I would expect in a real Texas Roadhouse though they did have the required chicken fried steak and hamburgers. But $28.00 seems a bit high for CFS. It's urban, what should I expect?
Great food after begin sold by original owner to the new owner. Glad space stayed the same and bar area is awesome along with bartender.
Brenda was an awesome server. She took great care of us! Wonderful experience. We’ll be back.
It was wonderful. Great food & great service!
Food was good as always. Service was poor at best.
The atmosphere was great for our family birthday meal. Service was attentive without being intrusive. Great experience.
Food was excellent and Brenda provided exceptional service although it was an unusually quiet Friday evening. If the weather is good try to get the table outside the main entrance. Great for people watching!
This is the best place to have a great meal. The food is awesome especially the chicken and waffles. Brenda was the best at making sure we were taken care of and they made my birthday very special.
It was wonderful! The s’mores were amazing! I was so happy with it!
Tillmans offered a creative spin on Texas cuisine. Fantastic experience and priced right...
Have been here many times but this time was different we had to wait for almost 20 minutes to get anyone to our table and then it was the bartender that actually waited on us which was OK but not ideal.
Also you’re in the house menu does not match your online menu at all.
Please put the goat cheese tater tot‘s back on your menu
Long wait for food, better mgmt. and quality of ingredients would help.
Server was extremely slow even though it wasn't busy and the prices were high. Much better food and service in this area for the same price.
Ambience good. Food also above average but nothing to rave about. Coffee was terrible - both the decaf and the regular. Service was the worst. Took at least 45 minutes for breakfast to get to table and that was only after we asked waiter to check on our food. It was busy and maybe the kitchen or wait staff was overextended but I won't be back.
Great place. Loved it and the smores made the night.
Tillman's is absolutely wonderful. The staff is so nice and attentive and my husband and I always have a fantastic experience. The food is wonderful and their dink selection is always on point!
Had a great Adult dinner...music & vibe was exactly what we were looking for ❤️
Sunday night about 7:30. Very quiet as there were not many patrons. Service was exceptional. Food delicious - biscuits, chicken and salmon.
