The food and service was really good. Easy to reserve and so close to our room. The entertainment was great to see to.
A fun, enjoyable, relaxing evening.
I will definitely go back if/when we come back to Maui.
Very good dining experience.
Chinese New Year brunch was outstanding. The most comprehensive array of brunch items I’ve ever seen. Local favorites, breakfast and much more. Everything I had was great. The entertainment of Lion dancers and martial artists as well as local musicians was perfect. A wonderful celebration.
Kaanapali Beach Hotel and Restaurant is a well-known and loved place. We enjoyed our dinner here. The food was tasty, the drinks were created by the legendary bartender, Dale, and we enjoyed the Hawaiian music show during dinner. Prices are comparable or even a bit less than on the Kaanapali Beach strip, so we felt it was a good value. We'll go again the next time we're on Maui!
We had a great meal here and there was a wonderful hula show while we dined! The decor is a bit outdated but the food is worth it!
Unfortunately, dinner at Tiki Terrace was our least favorite experience during our nine days on Maui.
Our server was very nice – that was the only positive. However:
•It's Ridiculous that there’s a 20 minute wait to be seated even with reservations
•Tent was incredibly hot and humid. Need some openings in the tent to allow the breeze to circulate.
•I ordered the short ribs. When properly prepared, short ribs are usually fall off the bone tender. I got strips of rubbery tough meat.
The whole experience felt outdated and stale.
The menu is totally different than posted on open table and we went elsewhere. No Maui onion soup, no coconut shrimp, no teriyaki chicken. Hopefully they update the menu soon to reflect what they actually serve.
Disappointing. We went for the Sunday brunch at the Tiki Terrace. The Fodor’s Travel Maui guide gave it high marks, but the food, though extensive, was just average. The prime rib was good, but the stir-fried chicken was dry as jerky. The staff were indifferent, as if they all knew we weren’t guests at the hotel and didn’t need to be attentive, let alone friendly. The waiter, after pouring my coffee, stepped over to say a word to a guest he knew at another table, then came back and poured my wife’s coffee. We had to valet park the car at a cost of $14, and when we picked up the car to leave, the valet didn’t even look at me as he took the $5 tip I offered, just said a perfunctory “have a nice day.” I violated my personal rule not to dine at a hotel unless we were staying there, and I confirmed that it’s s good one.
Service sow and food mediocre
After arriving about 20 minutes early for my reservation I had no hope of getting seated early since there were so many people waiting for a seat already. After about a half hour wait I was finally seated by a no personality hostess. We didn't allow her to ruin out night and after getting to our table our waiter was friendly and courteous. All the for stars are for him and the food and one is deducted for the hostesses. Yes there was more than one and they still had a hard time seating people even with ample table being available. The food was perfect! We both had fish. It was fresh and full of flavor. Pricing was medium and I look forward to eating there again soon.
It was Valentine’s Day
A great weekend to spend a Sunday morning. Old school Sunday brunch. Island style. Wonderfully large array of choice. Warm Hawaiian hospitality and service.
Any dining at the Tiki Terrace is special. There are so many different choices of food to fit even the most picky eater. We enjoy dining at the Tiki Terrace when we visit twice a year. In the summer our whole family enjoys the food there also. Also as an added feature, you have Hawaiian entertainment which is fantastic.
A little pricey but the food was quite good. Sunday brunch was very enjoyable with live local music.
It was a wonderful meal. Great service, great energy.
Food & service was very good. I would recommend & come back again.
Enjoyed the overall experience... food was good but was better last time we went... service was excellent!
Old world vintage Hawaiian dining experience . Our meals were mediocre at best. Crab cakes appetizer was delicious but the shrimp linguine I had was bland & not appealing at all. Had literally 5 bites then traded with my husband who ordered the chicken parmigiana sandwich--AWFUL. We should know better then to order Italian dishes at a Hawaiian restaurant. When my husband (who eats everything & isn't one bit picky) doesn't complete a meal you know it's bad. My daughters's burger was fairly tasty--guess you can't mess that up too much. Bottom line, out of 10 days of Maui dining 1 poor meal isn't a bad record. However, we won't be returning to Tiki Terrace that's for sure. The live Hawaiian Music was the only saving grace. My husband & daughter shared a sweet dance to Iz's "Over the Rainbow" which brought tears to my eyes so in my mind the evening will be memorable. I'd recommend sticking with cocktails & apps & come for the vintage Hawaiian music . Aloha🌺.
My daughter ordered the Native Hawaiian and found it wonderful and thought it was very well prepared and delicious. The Chocolate Lava Flow souffle was also fabulous.
Does not live up to hype as best brunch on the island. Pretty dumpy actually. Buffet food was bland and cold.
Fun, outdoor under canopy, Hawaiian restaurant. Dinner and free luau. Food was really good but pricey. Dessert was amazing. There's also a really cool Tiki Bar if you just want to go to the free luau without having to have a full meal. Fun place.
Good location and before the dinner, enjoy sunset!
Good live music and entertainment
A bit slow service but overall ok.
The food and service was good but restaurant is very dated. The tables have old tablecloths and the tables are all mismatched. If you are looking for any ambiance, this place is terrible. Looks like it is stuck back in the 80’s. The show is enjoyable and the food was good but it is hard to get past the old decor.
We ate here after our second night on the island as it was adjacent to our condo. This is very comfortable, unpretentious restaurant. Food was good and the ambience was nice. Definitely the feel of the Tiki ! A stage with live entertainment was enjoyable and worked to engage the crowd well. This would be great if you have small kids, as they had several activities in the show that included them...like hula lessons! Even for the the older crowd (us!) this was enjoyable. The only complaint is that the price might be just a tad high...it definitely isnt a low budget kid priced place. But, it might be the most kid friendly place we were at along Kaanapali.
We have been here six times in six weeks and we will be back in a few months when we return to Maui. Thank you George for the wonderful service!
The food was outstanding as always. The service also was perfect. Was always make this restaurant a must do whenever we visit Maui. Our server Charlie was the best. Please tell him he made our evening so enjoyable.
We were seated indoors when I was under the impression that it was an outdoor location. Ambiance would have been better outdoor.
Went to Sunday Brunch, second week in a row. It's the only champagne buffet brunch on this part of the island. Good number of choices, with many local favorites. Great desserts!
Covered outdoor patio seating for the tourist and large family seating inside for any huge groups. There was a good duo entertaining the patio crowd.
Service can be spotty and slow at times. Our server, Lulu, was good, but they could use help getting used dishes off the tables before the sparrows attack what's left on plares when people leave their tables.
My extended family and I have come to Ka’anapali six times in the last 14 years, sadly this was the worst meal experience we have ever had. There was a “smell”, even out on the terrace, that should’ve been my first warning; coupled with WAY BAD speakers for the outdoor band (buzzing, cracking), and the food was so borderline unappetizing that several of us looked at each other with concern for the other unsuspecting guests and what they must be thinking. Service was mildly friendly (it wasn’t rude) but took a good 10+ minutes beyond what it should have, and both clam chowders came out lukewarm. Poke appetizer was too small compared to same pricing at Whalers Village for much more appetizing and quantity poke. Not sure if we caught this restaurant on an “off” night but this whole property is in desperate need of a refresh and reason to walk all the way toward Black Rock to make it worth our while, when Leilani’s and Hula Grill in Whalers Village would have more than pleased at this same price point and next to the beach.
Excellent food, great service and very enjoyable atmosphere.
Read this was a popular place for breakfast, however our food wasnt great. Corn beef hash was mostly cubes of fat, served in a bowl with a lot of oil. Seems like the buffet could have been a better option.
KBH is always our favorite for Sunday Brunch, great selection of food with live music and plenty of Aloha!
Hotel needs to be renovated badly!! Didn't like eating outside with all the flies, while other guests ate inside. I'm sorry, but I would not recommend this place to anyone.
Best Sunday brunch deal for a 2 champagne, omelette station, carving station (prime rib and pork loin), amazing salads, entrees, delicious desserts, all for $45. On Maui; are you kidding me? Can’t wait to go again...
We like to come for the Sunday Brunch because of the variety of good food. The made to order omelets, crab legs, and clams are our favorites.
Sunday brunch was good... lots of regular breakfast choices plus, salads, seafood, prime rib , chicken and many yummy desserts.
To many choices , could spend all day there and not eat the same dish twice . Buffet is worth every penny .
If you like seafood, this is a good value meal. Ample selection of Poke, Crab legs, and shellfish. Overall, the experience was okay, a lot of birds hang out inside of the overhang, which can provide an unwelcome surprise if you are unlucky enough to put your hand somewhere they have relieved themselves. I would likely not go again, but fun for a one time experience.
