Tigelleria Organic Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
Excellent Italian neighborhood restaurant in Campbell. Located away from the bustle of downtown Campbell, Tigelleria is wonderful bistro style restaurant. Extensive menu with many dishes that are not typical Italian dishes. The octopus carpaccio was wonderful.
The gnocchi with crab & shrimp and the special duck breast were also excellent.
The branzino en crosta was also very good. Desserts were great. Extensive wine list featuring many Italian wines.
We will return.
We had a lovely date night here. The food was 100% Authentic Italian cuisine! It was mouth wateringly delicious! I can't say enough about how yummy the food was. It reminded me of my time in Italy and brought back lovely memories. Our server could not have been more friendly or courteous. Great wine list as well.
My wife enjoyed the Salmon but my gnocchi were drowned in cream sauce which I don't eat. I should have asked for the ingredients before I ordered; however, there was no mention of cream in the dish on the menu. I have been to this restaurant many times and if I order right the food has been very good. The one big knock on this restaurant is that the service is marginal and the kitchen is very slow with the food. But again the food is prepared to order.
The food was very good. I had the croquettes for appetizer and my wife had the octopus carpaccio. They were both fantastic although the potato that accompanied the octopus was a bit undercooked. For main we had the boar ravioli and scallops which were both delicious. For dessert we had the tiramasu and gelato. The tiramasu was great while the gelato was mediocre. All in all the meal was great and I would come back.
We celebrated my daughter's graduation here recently, and they were amazing. we were a big group, and they were super flexible about my adding a guest after i made the reservation. they put us in our own banquet room and were very attentive. we were late and they were super gracious about it. the food was fantastic, everyone raved about their choice. as we left we realized we'd closed the place down, and we didn't even know. they didn't give a hint to us, not
one clue that they were waiting for us so they could go home. real italian hospitality!
My son has raved about this place, so we took him there for his 33rd birthday. Now I know why. Great food and great service. Attention to detail throughout the experience from finding a private area for our family (included a 2 month old), making special cocktails, to preparing the meals as requested. We closed the place and never heard a 'hurry up' for the staff. It was my first time there but the staff made it feel warm and inviting. I will be back.
I started with the arugula salad with truffle oil, which was really unusual but good. The steak was cooked just right and tender with three sauces for dipping. We ended lunch with the chocolate cake with vanilla gelato and marinated kiwi. Overall we enjoyed the cozy ambiance and the food. I did think the prices were a bit high, which may limit some from enjoying this little neighborhood gem. Lunch for two was over $100.
We loved the food and ambiance of Tigelleria Organic Restaurant. They had an excellent octopus salad. rissoto, whole fish and lamb chops. It's an enjoyable restaurant, reasonably priced, and good quality. I would definitely go back again for a delightful meal in Campbell.
It was a special evening and we were really looking for a great dinner. We have been to Tigelleria before and really looked forward to the evening. Unfortunately, nothing we had stood out as special. Much of the night we felt neglected. The prices seemed high for the quality of the food. It was not the dinner we hoped for.
Love that the menu is as organic as they can make it.
They needed an extra waiter.
The waiter also needed body language, tone of voice and word choice pleasantries, smiles and OpenTable client greetings added to his service training.
But, like I stated earlier the owners need to add more wait staff and a bar tender full time, no matter what the numbers r coming through the door...even when a facility has a low number of customers, one waiter and one busboy means tables being underserved, rather than well served. Where the facility is looking for repeat customers or online customer draw, tis' better to serve a few well, consistently.
I'm giving the benefit of the doubt to the waiter and assuming he was stressed out trying to keep up.
Otherwise, cute place, romantic feel, unique menu items.
One selection of bass fish would have taken 30-40 min to cook, according to the waiter, so consider that in timing out your meal choice differences ahead.
Luv the pana cotta desert, it was thick, rich and delish'!
Scallops were perfectly golden and crisp on the outside, yet so tender and juicy inside-YUM!
A cocktail drink that I tried had too much cayenne pepper in it, was too hot to drink for my pallet. The waiter replaced it with a non-pepper one, but wasn't pleased doing so.
Nevertheless, I would return and try everything on the menu that was appealing to my tastebuds, when in that area again. :)
One of our favorite restaurants. We keep returning for the organic, home style cooking, the friendly staff, and romantic atmosphere. This visit, we were first seated in one of their newer side rooms. The muzak was too loud, so we asked to be seated in the main room, which has the advantage of watching the Italian movies projected on the wall behind the small bar. They were happy to accomodate our request, and we had a wonderful dinner. Highly recommended.
The quiet ambiance, the limited number of tables, the lighting, and the b/w movie running over the bar made quite the impression on my guest. It was like dining on a narrow street near La Scala! I will definitely visit again whenever I find myself in the south bay with a hunger for the best butternut squash soup and black kale on the West Coast.
A delightful restaurant with great food and wine. We went vegetarian this time and had the arugula salad with black truffle oil and mushrooms. Delightful flavors. I had zucchini noodles in pesto sauce and my friend had polenta with veggies. Both dishes were excellent and flavorful.
We will be back for sure and try the charcuterie the next time.
It was a tad noisy as the evening wore on but it was also a Friday evening.
Parking was tough. Had to park on the street as the restaurant parking lot was full.
Overall a good experience.
This is definitely a special occasion place, if for no other reason, they are very pricey! Don't get me wrong, the food is worth it, as it is organic, and the quality is outstanding! But just for two people, getting two entrees, one dessert, and one cocktail each, it was over $100. I don't get to come here very often because I certainly can't afford that so if I'm going here, it's because the person I'm with is paying lol. That's why I've only been here 5 times. I'd come here monthly if it wasn't so expensive. They have numerous vegetarian and vegan options which is why I love this place! They have some of the most creative Italian dishes I've ever seen and tasted. The quality is stellar!
