Beat kosher restaurant ever!!!!
If you eat here, and you should, make sure you bring a wrap and wear socks. The floor is always very cold. The vegetarian options are always fabulous. I love everything about this place.
Ok. It’s the best meal of my entire life. It was the greatest steak ever. Unbelievable. Sure, it’s expensive but you know that walking in. The greatest kosher restaurant on the entire West Coast.
We love Tierra Sur. It was nice to try some new items on the menu that were not there last time we went. The Tagliatelli pasta with duck was particularly tasty. The short ribs were soft and delicious as always. Service was top knotch and we loved that we could sit outside with heaters. Perfect place to celebrate our daughter's birthday.
The food was really tasty, liked the option to order a la carte , the staff was helpful and attentive and we will return with other people to enjoy the restaurant.
Maybe chef was out to lunch....my friends and I used to be wine club members and had many great meals and pickup parties there, food was wonderful. For old times' sake, we went back to have lunch recently. Limited menu, we added chicken breast on the side. A $180 lunch - 2 pcs of dried chicken, 1 side salad 1 fries, 1 average turkey sandwich, 1 bottle of Chardonnay - no bread no presentation, wine was not chilled till requested....how can they charge 20% tip. Good old times should stay in good old memory.
Extremely pricey. Adding 20% tip on to bill is not acceptable. Having a
$25 cancellation of reservation for 48 hour notification is objectionable. Main course was okay-short ribs. Soup excellent and all food served hot.
Delicious! Extraordinary service! Will definitely visit again soon.
(Would recommend all dishes aside from the meatball..)
As an appetizer we ordered a salmon tart and it was spoiled. We went for dinner on Thursday night and I’m still sick in bed.
Amazing! Jacob is so great!! He was fantastic! We love coming to the winery!
Great kosher experience for anyone who loves good phone.
Drove an hour to and then back from Tierra Sur and found the Thanksgiving dinner well worth the effort
Then again, it was nice not to have to cook, bake and clean.
Ha d the pre set Thanksgiving diner with wine pairing.
We sat outside so it was very quiet and pleasant. The food was beyond delicious! The prime rib was perfectly cooked and like butter in your mouth. The apple cobbler was heavenly, and we did the wine taster and each wine was better than the last. Highly recommend!
Great as always, one of the top restaurants in the US.
The ambiance is beautiful and the food is what you imagine when you think of the finest kosher dining. I look forward to this monthly treat.
This is a very special place. Was delighted with the outdoor space. The food was quite good, and they split the ribeye steak into two very generous portions. The sauce was a bit salty. Was an extremely pleasant lunch but a bit pricy.
Tierra Sur impressed us again with a perfectly curated 4 course meal including wine pairings. Every single bite was out of this world!
Definitely join Herzog just for these Cellar Club dinners.
Delicious - well worth the trip from LA. The seasonal menu is brilliant.
The food was, as always, on the pricey side, but very Kosher. These repeated emails are annoying, though.
The staff at Tierra Sur go out of their way to make sure you have a pleasurable dining experience.
Overall, the food was very good. The only exception was the items served with the fried chicken. While the butternut squash was good, the bread chunks were an off texture. The braised short ribs were perfect, the duck ragu excellent, and both the pumpkin flan and apple cobler had unique notes to them that made them unexpectedly good.
We were there for a birthday, and the staff made the evening extra-special.
Fabulous from A to Z
Never disappoints and AlWAYS delivers extraordinary dining experience from food to menu choices to service and don’t forget what their famous for - great wine!
Amazing service and great wine as always. Highly recommended!
Having missed our anniversary, we decided to go for just a quiet date night. Although busy, it didn’t feel crowded and the noise level was low enough for us to actually talk to each other from across the table. The set menu was far from limiting; it allowed us to quickly order and move on the main reason we were there, to enjoy each other’s company. The food service was prompt without being hurried, attentive without being intrusive. Each course was delectable and well presented. We enjoyed going out of our comfort zone and trying some new dishes. It was a very special evening indeed!
how can they charge 20% tip, if the service is deplorable and the food is average?
A party of 3, we ordered a hamburger, and it came with cheese and bacon. This is a Kosher Restaurant and Jewish people are not used to this kind of hamburger, or combination of food. Why do you do that?
I recalled they didn't have this kind of combo in the past, so I asked the waiter about this, and he said "they have changed the way, because the chef doesn't like to deal with "options", (?!?!) so they serve with "everything"
They have only 3 items for main course, and one of them is the Hamburger for $28 , yes it's not a typo $28. I saw most of the people ordering the burger and chips. Can you believe that they don't give you Ketchup as a part of the service?
So I asked the waiter for ketchup, he lasted more than 8 minutes to bring it in. My food was cold already......
I ordered a Sparkling water, and the waiter assistant refill my glass with regular water.......
We spent $200 and it was a real disaster.
Never coming back
Really good food. They use touchless payment system. The payment system is pre-programmed to add 20% tip. That would be fine except that they already added a 20% tip to the bill. By adding the tip to the bill, I was also charged state tax on the tip. So two things could be improved:
1. Tip should be added after tax calculated
2. If a 20% tip is already added to the bill the, touchless payment system should default to zero tip, not another 20%
Exquisite, delicious meal and wonderful service! 10/10
We had a wonderful night out, fantastic service. Delicious meal
Halibut cooked perfectly was kept moist. Very tasty.
Steak was well prepared. Mushrooms and potatoes nice additions.
Wished they served shoestring potatoes like they used to.
We have eaten at this restaurant before. This time things were a little different. Fillet Mignon was not on the menu. The online menu showed salmon but it was not available either. A little disappointed. However the food is very good but overpriced.
My Wife and I enjoy spending significant anniversaries at Tierra Sur.
From the appetizers to the main course to the desert!- unmatched Kosher dining. Kudos to the Chef and his staff and the hospitable and courteous service. The General Manager, Andre, even spent time with us and explained the amazing 9 generations of wine makers who now have 80% of the Kosher wine distribution in the World. Thank you to all!
Fantastic experience. Superb wine tasting preceded a fabulous dinner. The service at both was outstanding.
The food was unique and interesting. The appetizer (Duck in pasta) was very enjoyable. The brisket was not as good (way too fatty and dry).
The biggest problem was the service. The wait staff basically forgot about me and let me sit at the table for over 20 minutes without checking on me or to inquire about dessert which was part of the fixed price. I had to walk to the front to flag down another server.
The ambiance is great and hopefully will return to try again.
The food,at the wine pick up party was extraordinary. I don't drink alcohol and still.loved the dinner.
We had a fabulous experience at Tierra Sur!! The food, service and ambience were excellent!
Delicious food and great service. The wine pairing we added to the meal was phenomenal.
Very nice restaurant, with courteous service. Thank you.
One of the best gourmet kosher restaurants in the area! Unique menu & delicious quality food.
I had the best salmon I have ever had in my life. The service was excellent and very friendly.
The winery is always delicious! However, this trip was disappointing as they did not update the website to show the very limited dinner menu (replaced by the usual lunch menu) and as such, we drove a total of 3 hours for less than the experience we were hoping for. Additionally, we asked for bread when we started the meal and multiple times throughout the meal but only got it after our main courses were served. Our main waiter was excellent but one of the serving staff assisting us was not as professional. I've been to the winery multiple times and will be back as it is an amazing experience. I'm sad to say this trip wasn't up to par.
