Mostly excellent. The fish was overcooked but they took care of it. They forgot our wine bottle but eventually brought it. Extremely friendly people working. most of the food was outstanding. The rose was ok.....expected that to be better. Would be nice to have a few more affordable yet delicious wine options on the menu.

Server was very knowledgeable about wine pairings and friendly. Busser was attentive and friendly, realized I could not answer him after saying netilat yadim and before saying hamotzi and waited until after to come back w/o issue. Food was excellent (had the soup, chicken pasta, and bison steak, w/ truffle dessert; wife had salad, meatballs, and lambchops, w/ pear dessert). Main course was fantastic, but my favorite is always the appetizers b/c the chef is inventive with them in really impressive ways. New setup does force you to pay for wine pairing, so if one of the diners doesn't drink you're paying for something you're not using.

Considering that the welcome was 1 star and the service a 2, the evening was shot before it even got started. Food was ok. Dessert very poor. Pricing way too high for the quality of service received.

We went to the thanksgiving dinner. All the for was Luke warm or cold (the turkey, salmon and beef and the sides were all cold too) the table service was good, we had 4 generations and not one person enjoyed the food and thought it was way over priced for the flavor, temperature and quality.

Thanksgiving dinner was a buffet with a price of $115 plus 22% service charge. I was expecting a unique meal with high end choices. Unfortunately this was not the case. Fried turkey was probably the most interesting. Beef chuck roast and salmon were the other entrees. A few salads and stuffing and sweet potato casserole. They were good but certainly not interesting or unique. The service was below average with waiters having to be asked several times to pick up plates and not exchanging cutlery even for dessert.

The thanksgiving buffet was shameful. Very little selection, most foods were undercooked and/or cold. The turkey was okay and the only edible side was the dressing. If I were at a sit down meal, I would have sent the food back. And for $150/person including tax and 22% service charge, I'd expect more than chuck roast. The staff was the only bright spot of the meal. Shameful!!

Lovely evening as it was our last night on the west coast after a wonderful two week holiday. Herzog have managed to create an excellent restaurant and you would barely kmow that it's in the middle of an industrial estate.

This place can put out some awesome food, however it is not consistent. The ambience of being in a winery is for sure nice and their wines are good from their selections. I guess it is a little more that hit or miss on what you order. Just get selective and eat before you get there. Ser ice is too not h though and makes up for their lack of food quality consistency.

Have been eating here for years & LOVED it; Sadly the quality of the food has taken a nosedive & the service is now horrible to match the horrible food. Food has either no seasoning or too much salt and no subtlety at all; items we ordered were either forgotten or wrong; service is inconsistent at best. Spent nearly $700 on one dinner & one lunch (needed to make sure that it wasn’t an off night & that recent reviews weren’t wrong) and sadly after more then 14 years coming here, we will not be back…very sad…

My husband and I dined at Tierra Sur last night for his 60th b-day. This was our first time at this restaurant. We enjoyed our experience very much. Jasmine, our server, was very knowledgeable about the menu options and made great suggestions! Her service was wonderful and made my husband's b-day celebration very special. Jasmine was assisted by Angel, who was also very helpful! Both Jasmine and Angel were extremely professional and made our first experience there quite lovely. We were also greeted by Robert, the manager, who came over to our table a few times to wish my husband a happy b-day and to make sure we had everything we needed. If you're looking for a high-class place to go, this place fits the bill!

Our first visit. Server was very attentive and spent time answering questions and telling unique stories about the Herzog wine brand. Manager stopped by at the beginning and end of our meal to make sure all went well. Carrot curry soup, salmon mosaic, brûlée lemon cake - chef kiss! Will return for tour and wine tasting experience.

Very inviting dining room and outdoor terrace, with friendly helpful service. The wine selection is excellent. Great selections on the lunch menu, with enough to choose from. The food was prepared nicely, presented beautifully, and delicious. Very nice experience. Don’t miss walking around upstairs to see the working winery, cask room and bottling line, and interesting information about the wine making process, the source of their grapes, and the interesting history of this winery.

Dining at Tierra Sur is the total experience-excellent cuisine, delightful ambience, but best of all is the service. The waiters are super nice, extremely capable, and make the whole experience such a warm and enjoyable experience. Our waiter, Vincent, is the best!

My husband and I live in Los Angeles and celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary at Tierra Sur with a wine tasting followed by dinner. The staff for both the wine tasting and dinner were very attentive and professional. We were advised to allow about 1.5 hours for the wine tasting. The timing was perfect and we were able to enjoy the wine and the appetizers (which obviously need to be ordered separately) in a relaxed atmosphere. Our waitress was very attentive but not pushy! For dinner we had asked for outdoor seating which was more like a covered terrace adjacent to the dinning room. We were the only ones there at the time so it was obviously quiet. The appetizers and the entrees were all delicious. If we happen to be in the Oxnard area again we'd definitely go back.

First time having lunch there. The sandwiches were great and creative. The fries were done to perfection and brought to the table immediately from the fryer. Wonderful experience. No need for dinner, we were full the rest of the day.

Everything was wonderful. We coordinated a wine tasting first and then had lunch. The food was so delicious - and abundant. We have enough leftovers for another lunch! I highly recommend the garlic fries just to munch on! The service was great - attentive but not in-your-face. Robert, the restaurant manager, was wonderful and made sure we had everything we wanted. This was not our fist time wine tasting at Herzog and having lunch at Tierra Sur. And we will be back!!
