Tierra Sur Restaurant, inside Herzog Wine Cellars new state-of-the-art winery, is a New American seasonal cuisine,

With Tierra Sur, Gabe Garcia's cooking is rustic, unpretentious and ingredient driven utilizing local farmers when ever available. Menu items such as aged rib-eye steak and wild salmon are cooked outdoors over an open flame. The menu also includes house-made organic corn tortillas with exotic fillings such as birria (chili-braised lamb) with salsa cruda and grilled achiote-marinated red snapper with tomatillo salsa. A high point of the menu is the prix fixe wine tasters meal with wine pairings for each course.

They wouldn’t substitute one type of lettuce for another(both were on the menu). The entree dish of gnocchi was redicules small. They refused to add a side dish of mushrooms .
The Uruguayan steak was hard and had a big piece of ligament.
The flourless chocolate cake was excellent.

My wife and I went there for lunch to celebrate our 20th anniversary and it was the best meal we’ve had in years. Service was prompt and attentive. The dishes — from appetizers to main to dessert— were exquisite both in taste and presentation. Lamb bacon was a unique and delicious ingredient that made a chicken sandwich an out of this world experience. We went to wine tasting right before lunch so we didn’t order any alcohol with the meal. The check for the two of us came to just over $100 but was well worth it.

Delicious as always. Changes in tasting room tapas and dining room menus keep it interesting. Bison sausage Scotch egg appetizer was really fun - like a kibbeh, but more muscular and tasty.

Fantastic dinner. We were celebrating our anniversary, the chef prepared custom dishes for us. Bison steak was incredible. Charcuterie board is highly recommended. Wine pairings were excellent as well.

Chef Gabe is the best with his incredible creativity and combination of flavors .
The service is excelente and Jaucelyn is the best she elevated all to excelente making feel everyone unique . She covers all the explanations and recommendations for the menue and pairing wines. She is taking care of every person going the extra mile and never make you feel in a rush , giving everyone his/her time .
The dessert was awesome , chocolate Mexican cake with lime grate mousse , crunchy slices of apple and small Mexican wedding cookies. The combination of flavors was amazing . Perfect , not too sweet and not overwalm . I believe was the first day for the pastry chef and I can anticipated an incredible success .
