We always enjoy our meal at TC! They vary the menu and the cocktails seasonally. The food is hearty and well-priced - great taste for a great value. The service is above average. The decor is wonderfully rustic. All-in-all, this is our go-to for a great meal with family or friends.
Ennjoyed a pub meal in a reasonably quiet atmosphere. Franco the waiter was very helpful and friendly.
Excellent comfort food menu plus a few outlier items. Wonderful beer list.
Good value. Will definitely be back.
Good food and nice staff but rather long wait for food to be delivered.
Valentine’s Day dinner with my wife. It’s a great restaurant with great food. The servers were always right there to help you.
Tierney's Copperhouse is always a home run, Service is not only great they are always so friendly making your dinning experience so much better. The food is always a hit, never a disappointment! We always look forward to our dinning reservations at The Tierney's Copperhouse. Give it a try you will be hooked!!
Good food, friendly service. We sat in the bar area and enjoyed the experience.
Great food , good service... the setting was warm and comfortable
This might have been the worst meal I’ve ever had.
Copperhouse never disappoints. Love seeing Ann - a hostess. She’s great! Food is always very good as well as staff.
Had a delicious dinner (as always) with friends, and enjoyed after dinner wine at the bar. The pork chop medallions are my favorite thing; it was the first time for our friends who kept raving about their meals. Love this place.
Always a nice evening in a great, few and far between, adult restaurant. Good food, great service.
Excellent as always
Tierney's Copperhouse is one of our favorite go to places for a relaxing and fun evening - the food is excellent, they change their creative cocktails seasonally, and the staff is always great as is the service
Good steak, calamari just adequate. Nice place and would go back.
Nachos were a very good appetizer. Clams were less then desirable. Shrimp carbonera was delicious. Wife had the scallops and mom had the fried chicken that were all very delicious. Dad had the chicken and dumplings after finally getting it (order was messed up and late to the party but they were very nice and comped the meal) which was less then tasty. Had a soapy taste to it. All in all, would go back just not for chicken and dumplings. Great atomosphere. Good drinks.
Tierney's never fails to satisfy. From the time you are greeted at the door upon your arrival, to the attentive and friendly staff, to the unbelievably consistent food quality, Tierney's has something for everyone for every occasion. It has been out "go to restaurant of choice" since we discovered it over three years ago.
Birthday dinner for my two sons
Good food, good service, nice ambiance. Especially liked the fireplace
The food and place were nice...
What may have changed our opinion: The waitress had forgotten our order and the wrong dish was brought out. Then the entrees took forever, we thought the waitress forgot to put in our order. We were there for approximately 2 1/2 hours. Mainly because of the wait on our food.
Overall, the place and ambiance are lovely. It may have been a bad day for our waitress. We will still go back because of the ambiance and the food was pretty good.
Friendly hostess, nice bar and ambiance. Menu has variety of selections and all were very good.
Very good lunch and good atmosphere. The truffle fries are beyond fantastic. The arugula beet salad was good. The arugula a little too stringy and wild but beets and goat cheese were wonderful.
Food was good, but my main course, 3 scallops on a bed of rice? I have never had such a small portion of scallops. They could have put at least 5. Three left me hungry. Will not order that dish anymore. Should have been any appy at that stage.
Excellent food and service. A hidden gem in Fairfield. My Filet Mignon was cooked perfect.
The descriptions by family of some of the menu items had my husband and I over anticipating our first visit. We were disappointed. Trust me , it was not the food ....that is very good.
First turn off was the dining room's musty smell, it really turned me off. The décor is very early American , the food is new American and innovative, there is a large rustic bar section of the restaurant ....I was confused. It doesn't fit together.
I would go again and sit in the bar area , have some of the great appetizers and a glass of wine. The Pot roast nachos are delicious ( they just need to drain them, they were sitting in oil), heard raves about the deviled eggs and tuna poke.
This could be a really good place once it figures out what it wants to be.
So pleased. From the moment we stepped in and we're seated we knew it was going to be an enjoyable dining experience. Our waiter was knowledgeable and very nice. There was no rush. We checked the menu st home so we had a good idea hat we wanted. Delicious beet salad, salmon entree for me plus raspberry sorbet. My husband enjoyed a delectable moist pork chop with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. He enjoyed the briwnie dessert a la mode with whipped cream. We were extremely pleased and would return soon.
We came late in the day on Father's Day. The restaurant was busy and the staff stretched to accommodate the guests. Our service was friendly, smooth, and gracious. The meal was well prepared and quite good. I would recommend Tierney's.
Although we showed up late, Tierney host was able to accommodate out party of three. We have a great time and stayed longer than planned.
Everything was fine, nothing was special. The waitress was very nice and extremely attentive. The clams oreganata had too much bread crumbs, and the clam was tiny. Could hardly see it or taste it.
The beet salad was good. The scallops on mushroom risotto were very tasty.
The cocktails we had were good. We did not try any desserts.
All in all, I would go back if I was in the area, but I wouldn't make a special trip there.
Solid food. Solid service. Great ambiance. Always a go-to for us.
love love love this place. will continue to go back
I needed to find a place to go with my family for the double celebration of Mother's Day and my mother's birthday. My mom and sister live very near by in Wayne and had never heard of this place which surprised me, but it felt "right" to me, so I went ahead and booked it. What a find! Very cozy in a large space, reasonably priced, and good food! It was truly perfect for the occasion and we'll definitely consider it for other events in the future!
Checked this place or for lunch for first time. The crispy chicken sandwich is incredible as well as the side salad.
We all just wished there was other lunch options. Maybe some wraps. The salads are overpriced to order a protein.
Service was great.
The waitress was very well versed in the wines and the menus. We chose to share the snapper special. I was disappointed in the taste, texture, and overall presentation of the plate. I also feel the cost was over pried for what we got.
It was a casual dinner out with friends on a snowy Saturday. The restaurant was not busy but the bar was filled. Very nice bar area with high top tables. The restaurant and bar area had fireplaces. Service was prompt and food tasty. We had an interesting selection of meals - hamburger, half chicken, Baja shrimp and scallops. The scallop meal was a little chintzy on the number of scallops for the price of the meal but everyone enjoyed their entrees. We also shared a calamari as an appetizer - also tasty. Dessert was a disappointment. We shared an apple crisp with ice cream. Ice cream was delicious but crisp was gummy not crisp. Skip dessert and the meal was very good.
3rd time there. I liked it better the first two.
Repeat visit - again had great food and service was just as good.
Fabulous time and great food. Definitely recommended.
Great menu selections - food was Fantastic- service very good. Loved the ambience. Great "date" spot in my opinion because it's not loud or noisy. I was on a date, when I can't hear my date speaking I'm less inclined to return. We had a very enjoyable evening!
Outstanding service and the staffs knowledge of the menu was spot on.
The waitstaff should be better trained. Guests at the table should not be handed drinks to be passed around the table. There should be no reach, serve each guest.
