Tien - Teppanyaki / Shabu Shabu Ratings and Reviews
The service was great from all the staff but our chef John was amazing. Talked to us the whole time all while serving us the best meal we've ever had at tien and we come back often. We will definitely be requesting his service again. Thanks for a great night out
Was slightly disappointed, but I am really picky about my Japanese steakhouses. We were eating on a special hotel package, so price wasn't really an issue for us, but I would be a little put off by the prices otherwise.
Staff was outstanding and helpful. Our chef was a bit half-hearted with his presentation, but it was a Wednesday night and the other family had a cranky kid. (It was too late for a 2 year old IMO, but we've all been there.)
Food was good, but not great. Ginger sauce was too sweet for my taste. I like it a bit more garlic-y.
I'm willing to give it another try, but I'll go back to thirty-two first.
The food and atmosphere was wonderful. The guess at our table were very playful and entertaining. The waitress was overwhelmed but realized this and asked for assistance. The manager even cut our bill because of our wait time. I would highly recommend this restaurant to everyone and I will be back soon.
The food preparer was excellent and so was the food, like always. We dine there about every other month. However, this time, the waiter was terrible!
There were three couples at our table and when it came to receiving the check, he brought out the other two checks but not ours. After one couple paid their bill and left we still didn't have our check. The other couple paid their bill and we still didn't have a check. On my way to the check in desk, a lady asked me if she could help me and I told her that I needed the check. Shortly after that, we FINALLY received our check. The other couple left and the server came by and took our bill. We were able to leave about 30 minutes after the first couple received their check.
We arrived a little early and saw PLENTY of open tables, but were forced to wait the 30 minutes to our reservation time. Finally got seated, and there seemed to be staff hanging about, while our waitress was racing around, so our service was "fair", but our waitress was excellent otherwise (she just seemed rushed, and took a while in between her visits to our table), and very friendly. There are three different types of seats at this restaurant, and its a bit confusing, not to mention, you can dine at the bar also. The food was excellent, and they brought us a complimentary dessert, because we were there celebrating our anniversary.
My wife and I have been to Tien several time over the years and are always impressed with the eh food and service. Everything is delicious and freshly made and do excellent quality. The staff is very friendly and helpful and are always willing to help if you have any questions about the food.
Had dinner at Tien while spending 3 days at IP. I ordered the filet mignon with fried rice and vegetables. Soup and salad were also included with the meal. Everything was delicious. I loved the fish sauce also. I would definitely go back. Our waitress was very sweet, too.
I love the Asian mixed grill. Only wish they would grill the onions and peppers a little longer. Steak, shrimp, and pork were excellent. I had the shrimp lo mein also and that was some of the best I have had to date. Started with the hot and sour soup. nice and spicy with tasty ingredients. Finished with a nice glass of champagne. Wonderful meal!
MY VISIT WAS EXCELLENT. WE GOT THERE EARLY BECAUSE WAS LEAVING AFTERWARDS. SO WE GOT A GREAT TABLE WITH A NICE VIEW. WAS ONLY TWO OTHER COUPLES THERE SO WAS VERY INTIMATE. THE SERVICE WAS VERY FRIENDLY. THE FOOD WAS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS. THE LADY THAT COOKED WAS FRIENDLY AND ENGAGING WITH US AND COOKED OUR MEALS WITH SKILL AND SHOWMANSHIP WHICH IS WHY I LIKE THE HIBACHI WAY. WOULD RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT TO ANYONE WANTING A NICE ROMANTIC EVENING WITH A DINNER AND A SHOW. LOL
