I really enjoyed eating here. I had the perfect seat with my wife viewing the bay which had a glass partition to deflect the oncoming wind. They had most of my brunch favorites with fresh rustic build your own caesar salad with charcuterie and cheese, prawn shrimp and crab legs, rare prime rib and pork roast, french toast and build your own omelet. Service was really good. The price was a bit high but given the prime location and the food, I would eat there again.

The view/ambiance is spectacular and so was the service. My family went as an 8 person group for Mother’s Day and all the mom’s told me this was their favorite white tablecloth brunch experience they’ve had for years in San Diego.

The vibe is total relaxation from the moment you arrive. The food was spectacular! From French toast with macadamia nut crumble to fresh crab legs. There was a Caesar salad bar with some delicious and unique toppings. There was smoked applewood bacon, Portuguese sausage, omelette station, fresh scrambled eggs. I particularly enjoyed the Açaí bowl. I highly recommend Tidal to anyone! I will most definitely be a repeat customer!

I went solo for brunch and got a wonderful table outside with a perfect view. My server was incredibly helpful as I tried to decide between. 3 options for brunch. His recommendations were perfect!
Food was great, coffee was fresh and the weather and view were perfect.

The facility and setting ate very attractive. We were disappointed in the food. My wife had the sea bass. It was a small, whole fish, not filleted and not very tasty. The service was very good.

Very disappointed. I had a reservation and had asked for a table outside. When we arrived there was only one table seated and they were busy with a few children. They started to seat is right next to them and we asked if we could have a table a few over. They said those table were specifically reserved for others. In the end they placed is at a table where we needed to wait as it got cleaned since it was by the patio edge and covered with sand. The restaurant never filled by the time we left so this table holding made no sense.
Then there was the food, ugh. Or cheese tray was fine but our entrees were disappointing. I never expected the catch of the day to be deep fried, I assumed it would be grilled or seared. This was not a battered fish, this was a piece of opah. It made the edges tough and crunchy and the inside dry. My husband had the chicken and it was fried beyond anything I have ever seen. Our guests also had these two entrees. We were told that the chef had left the night before so I am not sure if the standards of the kitchen were off as a result. Others have rated the restaurant much higher and the pictures of their plates do not resemble what we were served.

Although the location is absolutely beautiful, I felt like it was seriously overpriced. We went for Easter brunch and even though it was not full, they ran out of plates and the food was very different and unfortunately not as delicious as I would have hoped. Even the desserts were fair at best. The worst part was that when we received the bill, I found out that mimosa was not included and they charged us $7 for each mimosa. When you are already paying $70 per person for brunch, that is really cheap of them....especially when you can get a huge glass of pure orange juice for no extra charge so they are charging $7 for half of a small glass of cheap champagne?? It doesn’t make much sense. Make your customers happy by throwing them a little champagne! It’s too bad because with the odd food combinations, an overpriced meal and overpriced mimosas, we won’t go back.

One of our favorite restaurants in San Diego. Chef Andrew Reyes prepared a non traditional Easter brunch. We enjoyed the delicious brunch with Island flare. The staff are friendly and helpful. Chef even help my mother-in-law to carry her plate back to the table since she is using her Walker.

In the past, I have enjoyed Tidal, but the Easter brunch was a huge disappointment for the price. The food was skimpy and not quality. Our waiter was polite, but neglected to check on us and our dishes sat there far too long. I was not pleased at all. I will not come back for another Easter brunch.

Unfortunately, our Easter dinner was very disappointing. I wanted a very nice Easter dinner for my family and felt like it was a total waste of money and time. The cost was $65 per person, total of $380 with tip. I still tipped well, becasue it wasn't the waiters fault. The food choices where nothing better than an average dinner, the dressed pig was presented well, but the meat was dry. Dessert looked pre-bought not freshly made. I expected better for this resort. I would NEVER recommend Tidal as a place to dine. I wished I had made my reservations earlier and reserved another restaurant. I only had one plate of food, because I was so disappointed as well as my guests. The only thing good about the place was the view. Huge disappointment.

Planning a trip to San Diego to treat my daughter, a college student, to an Easter brunch, I Googled brunch spots in SD. Tidal looked like a nice location on Mission Bay with a reasonable brunch menu, so i made reservations there. Arriving on Easter, we were shown to our table and told that the brunch was a buffet for the holiday. It was an interesting spread, with a few "traditional" breakfast items, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, etc. In addition, the Guamanian chef had prepared roast suckling pig, Pancit, Lumpia, and other Pacific delicacies. Different, but delicious. There was a charcuterie of meats and cheeses, yogurts and granola, and an okay dessert table. I was quite staisfied with the meal until I was presented with a $150 bill, which was a complete surprise. I expected the meal to be expensive but not "exquisite dinner" expensive. I felt as if I'd been taken. I will not be back. The Easter buffet pricing should have been evident on the website and at seating. It was nice, but not nearly worth the cost.

I had some friends visiting from Mexico and I did some research on a place where we could enjoy a great brunch and a nice view. I made a reservation at Tidal for 9:15am because they had no other available time. We arrived and the restaurant was almost empty.
They had a brunch with cheese, noodles, rice, egg, pork and lamb. I was very disappointed because most of the options offered were not part of my diet. I have been to many other brunches where for this price they offer seafood and many other options. Our service was terrible, the server brought me coffee and forgot for 20 minutes to bring cream and sugar. I asked her at for the omelette station and she was lime “oh we do have omelettes” and I was furious because she never mentioned this.
I would honestly look for a better option if you are going to spend $69 or I would recommend this restaurant to have a better selection of dishes for this price and at lease toilet paper in the restroom.

The hostess said she had saved us her favorite spot since we were celebrating our anniversary. We were literally sitting on the water with an amazing view of the bay. The food was amazing, such a mixture of unique flavors and absolutely delicious. Our waiter Landon was very attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. We had the best time and will definitely return if we ever make it back to San Diego!!!

This is a great place. The only thing is if you go fof dinner during daylight hours be prepared for beach traffic walking through outdoor dining area. Also it would be nice if the host was more mindful of the sun angle and seat guests accordingly... food and drinks were wonderful.. especially the tomahawk steak and the kimchee fried rice ...

Recommended this place to my friends right away!!! The staff are all very attentive and very professional. Food we picked for our lunch was surprisingly ONO, coming from Hawaii and Philippines, this reminds me of back home. The view of Mission Bay is superb, we got seated right away and everything we needed we got! My husband enjoyed his Chicken Caesar salad, we loved the malasadas with the ginger curd and guava Jan, I would order that again! I wished we had taken a dozen of them home. The congee was really good, I loved it! It just hit home. The chocolate coconut cake was amazing. I highly recommend this place, it was a perfect place for the perfect lunch date. Bonus - Free Parking at the Paradise Point Resort.

Terrible hostess. We had a reservation at 6pm for 6 people and she sat us in the bar area alongside a private party. We asked to be moved to a quieter area and she moved us outside starting that all other tables were reserved. Which we were supposed to be one of the tables that had a reservation. After freezing in the patio and asking for heaters to be moved closer to us and sitting under a music speaker with elderly parents that are hard of hearing. The most upsetting is that we sat facing the interior of the “almost empty” indoor dining room. There were plenty of tables that could have sat out party of 6 people. When we left I mentioned to the manager that there plenty of empty tables inside the restaurant the entire time that we were there. They need to train the hostess on seating. I don’t think we will be back. The food was good, service mediocre and ambiance and seating terrible. The manager was apologetic but it was far too late.

Amazing views, right on the water and the food was great m. Not a huge menu, but the food they do have is fantastic. Had the wagyu burger which was outstanding. Great selection of beers. Also enjoyed the service.

I can in all honesty say that this was the best meal I have had in Years. Andrew Reyes the chef at Tidal is truly an artist and has done a fusion of Micronesian Dishes and added a Mexican twist to some dishes. Having spent almost three years on Guam, I was thrilled to see Micronesian Dishes like Chicken Kalaguen on the menu. If you have never tried it, I highly recommend that you do. Our waiter Logan was attentive and extremely personable. The whole experience was delightful and the ambience was perfect.

Not kid friendly. Called ahead to check about that before being our 13, 11 and 9 year old. Was reassured that the restaurant was, but it takes more than a kids menu and crayons. We were sat in no mans land - literally 30 yards from the nearest table and forgotten. But then again this is a great place for kids if you want to drop $20 on kids salmon that’s the size of a postage stamp. I should have known better.

beautiful outdoor seating with an enticing menu but some dishes were poorly executed. clams were great, scallops were also quite good, but halibut was overcooked and too salty. Server was very friendly but exceedingly slow taking our orders, getting food to us and being attentive to the heaters around us which kept going out.

The view, the food and the service were great. I was hosting a bunch of colleagues from out of town and we wanted dinner some near their hotel. I live in San Diego and can say I will be back. The dishes were unique and delicious, albeit a bit on the high end.

The view made me look like a rockstar hostess, on the patio with blankets and a gorgeous sunset!
