You can also enjoy family style table service on our outdoor Tidal Deck while watching the Sunset over Mission Bay.
Set in what was a private beach house in the 60s, Tidal’s mid-century modern design draws from the era it was built by Hollywood producer Jack Skirball. A fire pit-dotted deck, communal tables, and cozy lounge beckon casual group gatherings and lively conversation — though the 180° views of Mission Bay might just leave you at a loss for words.

Came here for brunch. We were well taken care of by Shelby. She was so sweet and wonderful. We loved her. I ordered the best brunch entree ever! You must try the gravy and biscuit fried chicken. They’re so yummy. Cocktails were good too. View of mission bay was phenomenal. Will definitely come back and I recommend this restaurant for Sunday brunch.
Carne asada tri tip was the best tri tip I’ve ever had. Smoked perfectly (and we Traeger at home) and amazing flavor. Score brought down only because my wife’s chicken was dried out (cooked to long) and lacked flavor.
A wonderful experience. Will definitely return our next time in the San Diego area.
Ambience with live music is what makes this place. The service was excellent as well. The food was pretty good but not excellent so the price of the food is really too high. If you understand you are paying for the ambience then it shakes out ok.
Food, service and ambiance were good. Prices are too high for what you get.
We sat outside, which was nice except for the chairs. They were metal and very hard and uncomfortable. Cushions, please!
Yummy food. We went on Hawaiian night. Food was better than I expected! Service was great and super friendly. Had a 6pm reservation, which got us a spectacular sunset. Overall would definitely recommend!!!
Beautiful sunset dining overlooking the bay. Service was excellent and all food was delicious. Good selection of wine by the bottle with reasonable prices for a restaurant. The Wednesday night live music was very enjoyable.
This was our second year celebrating my wedding anniversary at Tidal and even with a little one (almost 2) the whole team went above and beyond for our table. Food for the kids came really fast and overall was another amazing experience.
The food was under valued. The brisket was extremely fatty, in fact it was so fatty half the table did not eat it. Since the chef decided not to trim the fat off 3 plates of brisket they should at least supply proper steak knifes. Also the BBQ sauce should not be smotherd on top of the brisket. Very cheaply done. Our meal was $320 and it taste like a $40 pickup order. Their needs to be more choices on the menu and the prices need to be readjusted if you do not have fine dinners. We all felt like the restaurant tried to make something look like it was a special expensive dinner.
We will never go back unless it changes completely. We have already told many guest not to go there.
Ate at Tidal for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. Sunday brunch fare was excellent as was the service.
We didn't realize the meal was pre-set with biscuits, salad and desert where you just pick the main. It ended up being fine, but just something to know up front.
Our group got the chicken, ribs, brisket and mock chicken. By far the mock chicken dish was the best! I'd skip the ribs next time because mine were so over cooked I couldn't get them off the bone and it was SUPER disappointing. The flavor was tasty but when the meat is to tough to even cut through it kind of ruins the meal.
As for dessert, the flan was fabulous!
Staff was friendly but the service was sub par. My wife and I were basically forgotten. Patrons who came in well after us were receiving their food, whereas we had to get up to find our server to see where our food was. The manager did buy us a round of drinks for the oversight and the waitress tried to make it up.
We are long-standing customers of Tidal. This is our first disappointing experience there. After main course was served no one came to check on our table. The chicken was undercooked and so we ended up sharing food to compensate for chicken entree. By time waitress came to check on us we were done with dinner. Since we were done with dinner at that point we did not order another drink although another glass of wine would have been nice. Two of us had ordered ribs and we had to laugh as we cut the rack we were served with our butter knives. The waitress informed us before leaving that the chicken was not under cooked and it was pink because it was smoked. We were given a discount on that meal. We paid half price for that meal although the chicken went back whole. A very disappointing experience as we have had many incredible meals there!
The view, food, and live music was amazing
The ambiance was amazing very clean and the view was great. There was live music that was not too loud and just right. Highly recommend
Wonderful experience for my parents anniversary! We loved it!
Was staying at Paradise Point and this is one of 2 restaurants we were celebrating a birthday. Service and view were great. They prove bread & salad, shareable sides and your choice of 1of 4 main courses, 4 of our guest ordered the brisket and none of them could eat it. It was very thinly sliced, tough, full of fat and smothered in BBQ sauce. Staff and management were understanding and helpful.
Will charge you 3.5% gratuity to offset California minimum wage that goes straight to the hotel not the wait staff. Servers were great, food mediocre and bad taste to the management.
Loved the views and staff were great, very attentive. Food was good but it was our first time there with there themed food. Enjoyed the experience!
Good food and service. Bring a jacket as the breeze can make it a bit chilly on the terrace.
Julia was fantastic. I thought the menu setup was smart to allow for an efficient and enjoyable experience for my family. We will return again. Thank you
Great view & great brunch.
Friendly service & nice decor.
What a beautiful experience! We had sunset dinner. The view was amazing. The staff was so sweet and helpful he food was absolutely delicious! Great night!
While the fixed menu was delicious, not offering at least one other dinner option is problematic. It is too much food.
They only offered fixed meal at 46 dollars per plate. Food was below average but service was good. Never again!!
Below expection. Food just OK.
Great ambiance. View of bay and lovely fire feature. Wednesday Coursed dinner was really delicious. Management accommodated Shellfish allergy with an off menu salmon. Great drinks and service and musical artist. The kids loved the rice Krispy treat dessert. We will be back.
Lovely ambience on the water. The prefix menu is great. The food was decent. The service and drinks were excellent!
It was wonderful
Need to Inform guest that there is set menu nightly…
Need more food options for children and also options other than a fixed menu would be amazing.
Delicious food, huge portions, well worth the price. Heck, the view alone is worth the price! The perfect brunch spot!
I just hope the food stays as yummy since I heard the Head Chefs last day was yesterday. Love this place!
The sun reflecting on the water at 5 oc'clock was really intense. The dozen or so ill-behaved and uncontroled preschool brats totally ruined asure if some very fine and tasty food. Way too expensive to have to put up with all those awful kids.
We went to Tidal for our 30th anniversary. We were staying at the property. My husband ordered the scallops and I ordered the pork. The scallops were extremely salty and they were not fresh. My husband was a chef at one of So Cals most popular pier fish restaurants so he knows fish near its expiration date. My pork was cold and pink inside. I was too nervous to eat it and the waiter was polite and happy to take it back to cook it further. Upon returning, he said the chef wanted me to know it’s smoked for 24 hours. It was still pink and inside and not warm at all so after about 3 more bites I decided to not eat it. The rice side and potato side was good. The portobello mushrooms were tasteless and an odd side dish with any of the main course menu choices. We didn’t eat them.
My husband ate an hour later as it just wasn’t enough for him to eat and he’s skinny! There were only 3 scallops and they were just medium size.
Salads with shrimp and bread with blue cheese were good and so was my glass of Cabernet. The key lime pie square was tiny (but just the right size dessert for me in my opinion!) and was the best part of the meal. It was delicious! When our waiter cleared the table, he noticed I hadn’t eaten much more of the pork. When he returned with our bill, he mentioned a 25% discount was taken off. That is excellent management and we were impressed and thankful with the gesture. We tried to pay cash but the waiter said they were not accepting cash. We thought that was kind of strange. We still left a 20% tip. I never think the waiter should suffer the consequences of anything gone wrong with the food.
I think the prefix menu is a great idea. Just wish the food had better flavor and more care taken in preparation and freshness.
The view outside and the fact that our dog was welcomed in with open arms was fantastic. Beautiful restaurant inside too!
Family vacation - nice dinner out:)
Pre-fix meal. For $45 per person you only get to choose your entree- and not choose your sides or dessert. Table shares sides and size of sides was small. However the food was delicious.
We tried the Land & Sea menu Wednesday night and ordered the scallops and paid $88 for the tomahawk enhancement.
Be aware that if you order any of the enhancements, you lose out on the rest of the prix fixe dishes such as the starter and salad. So, for more money you get less food.
Our reservation was at 8:30pm and two of the entrees were already sold out - the Roasted Root Vegetable Pot Pie and the Slow Roasted Koji Beef Striploin.
The salad and pain frites were delicious and I wish we could have each had our own servings. The scallops were also buttery and I enjoyed the flavor complements of the chorizo purée and street corn.
The ambiance is beautiful and we enjoyed the atmosphere of the outdoor seating and the tail-end of the live music performers.
The tomahawk was a major disappointment. Half of the 40 oz steak was fat. We requested medium rare and it came out rare. When we asked to have it cooked a little more, only one side was close to medium rare and the other side was still rare. The server offered to take it back again, but even after sending it back once, the steak was ruined.
Steak needs to be cooked well the first time and it is not difficult. This leads me to believe that the cook was inexperienced or lazy. Even a cheaper cut of steak can be saved with good preparation and seasoning but this cook managed to desecrate a tomahawk.
Amusing note: The second time I mentioned the steak not being cooked to specification, the server asked if I wanted to take it home and cook it myself…if I wanted to do that, I would have stayed home…
The manager offered a 30% discount off the total bill which was the bare minimum consolation for this experience.
Great food and nice ambience! The pork loin and crab legs were delicious!
You can't find another 3-course meal with waterfront views at this price. The atmosphere is awesome and the service was top-notch. We weren't thrilled about the food. It wasn't bad, it was just very basic (no interesting flavors or ingredient combinations). I think it would be a great option if you're bringing kids or pickier eaters to a "nicer" place.
We loved our table and the view at sunset - would recommend, but it won't be the best meal you've ever had.
