Wonderful! View of the bay was perfect! Service & food amazing! We will definitely return!
Great food, terrible service. At least the views were good.
Everything was outstanding. The servers were attentive and had extremely enjoyable personalities. The food was outstanding and the view of the bay exceptional.
Everything was terrific. We thoroughly enjoyed the variety of the main courses and all the side dishes. This has now become one of my favorite restaurants.
This is a one-price multi-course dinner with excellent food and presentation, along with a smiling staff and outstanding views (we arrived just after sunset and enjoyed a crescent moon adjacent to Mars). Good for one or two romantic couples. You have a choice of main courses, and everything else is fixed. It's all delicious. Wine and beer are extra. We would return and will recommend it to friends.
Over priced food that is fancy to look at but not tasty and sadly too expensive. However service and location great.
We arrived an hour early to get a drink before dinner and the bartender, Thomas, was very welcoming. The drinks were wonderful and he was accommodating to any substitutions we wanted.
Our server was so super sweet and took excellent care of us. The view was breathtaking and we were able to watch the sunset while we ate. The food was phenomenal and such a great value. We came on Thusrday which was South of the Border night and enjoyed a great 4 course meal. The smoked meats were very juicy and tender. The portion sizes were perfect, but we weren't so hungry so we had some leftovers to take home.
There was a large gathering inside that was rather loud, but we could barely hear them from where we were seated outside. The ambiance was very romantic. Loved the soft lighting and the seating set up.
We loved it so much we'll be going back tonight and Sunday for brunch!
Was disappointed to find out it was a set menu. It came with a nice salad. Some ok sides. And a choice between two meat, one chicken and a vegetarian entrees. Entrees were ok. And a desert which was ok. Didn’t want it. The entire thing was $48.
We ordered a bottle of wine. Which was not a corkscrew top and server didn’t have us taste the wine.
The service staff wore masks which was expected but also wore gloves which is useless unless you change gloves between every customer and transaction.
Over all disappointed. Friendly service and nice view however.
They could do so much better
Came on a Wednesday and it was "Surf and Turf" theme. It was a 4 course meal (we picked our entree and all the appetizers, sides and dessert was chosen for us. $46 per person. Wished me would've known that prior because we weren't too too hungry. Asked the waiter if we could share one course or if we should leave. He was annoyed but honored it. At that point we felt like he thought we were cheap or didnt have money. Didn't really check up on us afterwards.
For was weird tasting. Idk how else to describe it. We paid an extra $55 to upgrade to steak and it just wasn't good.
There was Live music which i thought was a little annoying.
It was great experience food portions big, service great and location perfect!
Great vibes, food, service, and drinks.
I would highly recommend it
Tidal has great food, drinks, ambiance, service, and reasonable prices.
Decaf espresso would be nice, as would a dessert menu.
Awesome staff and good food.
Very beautiful scenery, I will choose again for the next gathering.
The Resort is so pretty!! The staff is so friendly and helpful!! The Brunch food is horrible!! This is my 2nd brunch here now. I thought I would play it safe. I didn't even think it was possible to do that bad a job with Biscuits and gravy!
However, they brought my friend a Birthday waffle and that was delish. Stick with a waffle and you'll be fine.
Went here for brunch while staying at the resort for a weekend. I got the salmon benedict which was totally amazing. Strawberry mimosas are a must for their brunch as well. The view if you get outdoor seating is very nice and the service was excellent. Only complaint is it is a bit pricey. Fine for a special treat but not something I would just go to as a local
Visited Tidal while staying at Paradise Point. Unfortunately we were not impressed with dining options. It was a set menu for bbq and my husband couldn’t eat most of the food as it all had dairy. For the meat option We got the pork ribs, and those were not great either. The sides were also not tasty, everything had a peculiar smell. Disappointed overall. We left most of our food.
We ate at Tidal on a Thursday evening when South of the Border was the theme for the menu. We were a party of four with a young child. The food could not have been better! The flavors of the food were delicious! From the varied meats we ordered down to the rice and beans, we found all excellently prepared. We will be back!
one of the nicest Beach dining in San Diego, with delicious food and very good service!
Douglas was wonderful and the food was incredible! We could have shared!
I took my mom here to celebrate mother’s day. They have a 3 course meal that is delicious. The view is amazing and my mom loved it overall.
Delicious food... beautiful setting.
The presentation and explanation of pri fixe dinner by server would have added to the experience. Seemed a little like a factory serving the food instead of a dining experience.
We stayed at Paradise for a family event and decided to take the entire family here for a "nice" meal. What we didn't realize was that it was a set menu and an expensive one at that. $50 (not including drinks) a person for subpar BBQ was not what I was expecting. The service was good and the views are great. Please go back to the old menu, with fresh seafood.
The food was innovative and way better than expected! The service was excellent and vibe really quiet the staff friendly! I had the salmon with kales for potatoes and my husband had the biscuit with the fried chicken and gravy mmm good ! Would highly recommend!
Food was flavorful, very satisfied. Both the host and our server were very friendly. Sat outside on the patio and the view was beautiful. Will be returning in the near future.
Need to improve kids menu. For a restaurant of this level, I expect more than chicken strips and Mac n cheese for the kids. Smaller portions of the adult menu options please! Kids like good food too.
Lovely view and fabulous service!
Place is very nice and it has a great view looking over the bay.
The food was good, but not outstanding. Service was excellent.
Food comes from a preselected menu, so when you visit be prepared to eat whatever their menu theme is. When we went, the theme was some sort of Pacific Island inspired meal. Wife had the stripped bass and she liked it, I had pork belly and it was ok. The rest of the food had some sort of Pacific Islander flair, noodles, fried rice, tuna dish. I was hoping for steak and potatoes, so I was disappointed from the start.
I have to admit if it wasn’t the only items to choose from on the menu, I probably wouldn’t have tried it somewhere else so Tidal has that going for it.
Recommend finding out what the menus is for the day you make reservations.
Wonderful view and great experience for everyone. We went for a birthday and had a great experience all around. Will be back again for sure!
The food was the worst smoked food I’ve ever had. The ribs were over done, and tasted like Asian ribs and not American style bbq. They barley has any meat on the bones. The appetizers it came with were horrible except the mashed potatoes
Veggie option was basically rice and beans, poor value for money.
There was a wedding and they were taking the outside sitting availability.
I would prefer if they could hold some sitting outside and not to have a theme menu.
Beautiful spot on the water... tons of heaters and fire places. The drinks were excellent; highly recommend the old fashioned. Food was also good but limited in choices; even more so as a gluten free eater...I had pretty much 1 option. But it was delicious! Highly recommend!!
I chose this place after looking at the menu. I was looking forward to trying the delicious food. But once we got there, we were told it’s a prefix set menu due to Covid-19. Makes sense, but why didn’t they mention it on the site? I would have made plans elsewhere. The food was eh. The price was high. Paying a lot for food I really didn’t care for makes no sense. Waitress was nice. She mentioned that other customers expected a full menu also. The only thing I liked about this place was the ambiance.
Our "Tidal"experience was perfect. Great ambiance, delicious food, great service, both our waitress and busboy.
Very impressed by the staff! They made the dinner and brunch experience amazing!
Easter brunch outing. Great service, food and atmosphere.
This restaurant is in an amazing setting. Unfortunately, it is the most poorly managed eatery I have ever visited. I made reservations, but when we arrived I was told they were running a little late. It would be 15-20 minutes. Not a problem. We went to the bar, ordered drinks, went to sit outside by the fire pits, had to move dirty glasses to sit. Tables within view were empty, but needed to be bused. 45 minutes later and a reminder to the hostess we were seated at an outdoor table with an inoperable portable heater, waited 10 minutes for wait staff to request a new table. 10 minutes after that we were taken back to the fire pit area with the unbused tables. We gave up and walked out. This restaurant is a hot mess in a beautiful location.
Despite having reservations and the restaurant being fairly empty, it took an hour for our party to be seated, and we had to remind the staff that we were still waiting 3 times. They also sat us an indoor table with no view even though I booked the reservation 2 weeks in advance. It took 24 phone calls to get a hold of the restaurant as they do not answer their line. The Saturday bbq fixed menu was very disappointing and the overall experience was quite lacking. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
It was a really nice place for a night with friends. The menu was interesting and the communal items made for a nice relaxing shared experience. The ambiance was lovely.
