Had to wait for our entire party to arrive in order to be seated - that’s fine. However, when the last couple of people did arrive (10 minutes late), we had to wait an additional 15 minutes for the hostesses to kick out a table already sitting and then to clear and reset the table. Once we were seated, almost 35 min. after our reservation time, we waited another 15 minutes to get waters, drinks and order food from our waitress. The entire experience was just a lot of waiting around. Our waitress was extremely nice, but the restaurant was very busy and didn’t seem to be running the most efficiently (ie, the fact that even when we were all there, we had to wait even longer for a table to be kicked out and cleared). Not sure I’d go back bc of all the waiting.....

Went with a large party of 12. Unfortunately all the food came out at separate times, literally one dish then five minutes later another dish. The tacos took almost 2 hours to arrive. However that was met with the attention of the manager and free margaritas and they did not charge us for the late food. Was happy with the compensation and recognition of the errors. Would be happy to go back and try again for the food and drinks.

The food was excellent. It was freshly prepared, balanced, and tasty. Tico serves small plates to share, so be prepared to order 2-4 items per person.
The volume of the music was turned up at around 7:00 PM when we visited on a Saturday night and it was difficult to have a conversation over the noise.
The art on the walls and general bohemain feel of the place is very chic.
We visited on a busy night and it took longer than expected to place our orders and receive our food. We had ordered a four-course meal with dessert, but an hour and a half into our meal, we had to ask for our check before the desserts arrived. They did bring them just as we had signed the check and were about to leave. It was a busy night, though. I would come again on another night or on a night when we didn't have to rush to a show afterwards.

Ugh I hate to be this person because I've had a lovely dinner here before but their brunch is just not it. The server asked at the beginning if any of us have any dietary restrictions. I told him that I don't eat meat and he said that is completely okay. Everything that came to our table had meat besides two dishes. When I asked if I could get anything modified he pointed at something on the table and said " that doesn't have meat." ...But it had bacon in it. I ordered the breakfast nachos without bacon twice and every time it came out with bacon. My friend asked if she could order the churros and the server said "not yet" and kept it moving. It felt like our table was a burden. I've never left a bottomless brunch still hungry before..

We enjoyed the appetizers, but not the snapper entree. Sangria and margarita drinks are small with a lot of ice. Tables for 2 are on top of the adjacent tables.

Happy hour does not apply to the tables. Restaurant was literally empty and bar was packed. Service was slow and the food is overpriced. Don't waste your time going unless you're doing the happy hour and you can be sure you get a spot at the bar.

I visited Tico just this once for their Unlimited brunch at $39. I chose this brunch because there was a mix of sweet and savory foods. Most of the foods were delicious. Unfortunately, the service at brunch was not exemplary and it detracted from the experience and the value.

When we sat down, the waiter told us that he would be very busy and will send out food to us, as opposed to having us order a la carte off the unlimited menu. This was fine with my party because we wanted to try everything. The waiter did have a number of food runners bring out food but they were not contentious of timing, so at one point we had such a full table that the runner was stacking the lips of plates on top of each other. and continued to bring us food even when we had clearly slowed down our eating pace. This led to a concerning level of food waste once we became full and discovered that the restaurant would not provide to-go boxes. Additionally, since the food runners were not servers they could not refill our drinks. One member of our party only had one drink the entire unlimited brunch and another had to ask six separate times for a single refill.

I understand that these unlimited brunches can be chaotic for the servers but I have seen it done better elsewhere at this price point and below.

We did small plates style dinner to share, every dish was pretty spicy, even the vegetarian ones. One member in our party is not tolerant to spicy, so was a challenge for her. We were told after we could have ordered low spice, but having never eaten there before, I don’t think it should have been in us to asked if the vegetarian tacos were super spicy. I suggested a heat index on their menu.

Other than that, it was very good - the flambé queso fundido with Chorizo was delicious.

Note, the restaurant is loud, largely because the background music is really cranked up.

Great food and service - would certainly recommend for groups in particular. A good thing about the menu is the way the servings are scaled from small bites to large plates which helps when sharing. Waiter was super helpful. Will be back!

We went for Christmas Eve dinner with friends and family. We decided to do the chef’s choice at $45 per person since we had never been there, and we weren’t sure what to order. We had 10 dishes served to us, including dessert. We were so full at the end, but enjoyed every menu item!

Atmosphere is fun but really loud. Service is inconsistent but the wait staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Margaritas so-so but some of the specialty drinks (like the tequila negroni) are good. The snapper was quite good, tacos are ok. Definitely a good place for a bar seat, or for a group and lots of shareable food and drink options.

We went out for my daughters birthday dinner in a Sunday night. The restaurant was empty and it should have been a warning. The food was underwhelming. We had a good mac and cheese and fried calamari appetizers. But my main dish mushroom enchilada was terrible. My daughter’s shrimp tacos were uninspired and so bland and dry that she used the cocktail sauce w mayo from the calamari to enliven her mango shrimp taco. Food was disappointing and small portions. We had desert (chocolate devil?) which was good but nothing awesome. Too bad. I remembered this as a good place but it was disappointing.

The spicy fish tacos were the best I've ever had. The guacamole was bright and fresh, and the cabbage salad was yummy too. The Red Sangria was fruity and well balanced--I even ate the apples! If you have room, I highly recommend the churros...superlative.

The food was great. We ordered the bottomless brunch and were unsure what to order. It all looked good. Our server recommended bringing two of each dish out to sample everything. It worked out well, but towards the end the restaurant got busy and our service became slow, totally understandable, but we were told at the hostess stand that we had a 2 hour table limit. There are definitely some tapas I would skip because it's very filling! The Bloody Mary's were awesome. I think it would also be beneficial to list the beers that are on the bottomless brunch. My partner ordered a beer and was charged an additional $8.00 and there were times that our server didn't understand what we were asking. Overall, the experience was great, just a couple of snafus. I would definitely go back!

My husband and I have been to Tico many times and have enjoyed its brunch. It had a wide variety of quality meals available at a decent price. With the requirement that it’s ‘all you can eat’ substantive portions and quality, and I emphasize quality, have gone out the window. Secondly, they force you to pay for the $49 all you can eat and drink just to get coffee. With this experience, we’re not going back for brunch again. The service was very poor as well, not once offering to refill coffee or ask if we wanted a second drink.

I have been going to Tico since it first opened. It used to be a go-to spot. Unfortunately, over the last couple years the menu seems to be ever changing and getting smaller and smaller. There are a few long standing items that are standouts - cabbage and green bean salad and the corn - but overall the restaurant has lost a lot of its luster.
