We all enjoyed what we ordered starting with a great Cosmo. We sat outside with our dog on a beautiful Thursday evening in February. I'm sorry I didn't get his name, but our waiter was the best!
Good food, would go again.
Great staff.great hamburgers. salmon Caesar ok, good fish, bland dressing, short ribs ok but over salted.
We came in party of 6, service was quick, friendly and attentive. Food was ok, appetizers were very nice, main dishes were ok. Overall pricing I found on high end for what was offered.
We had Christmas dinner there and it was very disappointing. They offered a three course prix fixe ($65) of salad, prime rib and dessert. The salad was okay. The prime rib was thinly cut. The baked potato had been warmed up with the toppings intact. Hence, there was a small dollop of sour cream that was warm, shredded cheese that was hard and dry and a few bits of bacon. I do not typically use all these toppings and would have preferred some kind of choice, but even if I wanted all of them, they were close to inedible. The waiters did their best, but there was no pretense of any kind of style. The ambience was also lacking. They had two TV screens visible - one with a Christmas movie and the other with a football game. Not what anyone would describe as dining elegance. Will not return any time soon.
Energetic is a polite way of rating the noise level. Obnoxious would be closer to the truth. They had a good singer singing Holiday Season tunes, but it was hard to hear him over he noise of the Marinites and their friends who all had to talk louder than the next one in order to be heard. The food was great, and the servers worked hard given the rush of people for Christmas Day dinner. That's right Marin and SFO, I said "Christmas" dinner because that is what it was called.
This restaurant is part of the Tiburon Lodge hotel. Had I known that I would not have made the reservation. Thinking it was in Tiburon, and a Saturday night, I thought it would be busy and have some energy. But we were one of only three occupied tables, and they were all hotel guests. The service was great, since they were not busy.
The food was not worth the money. I got the New York steak, which I kept having to pile salt and pepper onto, and my wife got the salmon, which wasn't anything she would have chosen twice.
Two glasses of wine, one starter plate and 2 main dishes was $119. The wine was good, but it was $15 a glass, too. So, overall, I'd say try someplace else.
Great location with outdoor patio. Plenty of indoor seating as well as a beautiful bar. Ordered tostados and the the tamales. Both were excellent. Service was excellent.
Note: Had breakfast the following morning. Basic eggs, bacon hash browns. Nothing great about it. Eggs ordered medium came out over hard. Hashbrowns were packaged frozen. Only one server on duty so service that Saturday morning was slow.
It was overall really good. There was a wedding party and it just felt odd that one guy was there on the front patio in his bathing suit and no shirt.
Great looking guy yet it cast a kinda less elegant feel to the setting and kind of shifted the feel of things.
My shrimp roll was fantastic but the fries were just okay.
Food didn’t have much flavor. We ordered a side of mac & cheese, Caesar salad, & the pasta with seasonal veggies & white wine sauce. The dishes were served in a timely manner, & were fresh & hot, but on the bland side.
Excellent experience here. They were short staffed but the bartender did his best to service the entire restaurant as well as blend cocktails behind the bar. The food was good, the cocktails were delicious and the views from the patio were great. There were large bees flying around which became quite a nuisance, but otherwise it was perfect. Prices were reasonable for the location and amenities. Definitely worth every penny and highly recommended.
Awesome food with excellent service. Great ambiance. Price is extremely valuable for the great quality of food. We will definitely be returning in the near future.
I chose this place based on Yelp. It indicated vegetarian food available so that was good because my friend is a vegetarian and I eat mostly vegetarian. As it turned out, there was only one thing on the menu that she could eat (grilled cheese). I was embarrassed by that because I told her there was a vegetarian menu and she could have her pick. After all that, the bill was about $76 for 2 people. Not coming back.
BREAKFAST
Food—okay
Service—good
Scene—great!
We would return if we stay here again :)
Great fresh food and their service is magic!!
Their servers are attentive and very detailed.
Fabulous quiet dog friendly patio and the best wait staff in the Bay Area. Food is good, but their fish tacos were exquisite - why did this chef take them off the menu? I go for the dog friendly ambience and the service - don't really care about the chef wanting to "brand" themselves... Bring those fish tacos back!!!!
Hi! Thank you for your comment! We truly appreciate the feedback. I'm excited to announce that we are now serving fish tacos during our happy hour in the Tiburon Tavern. We would love to welcome you back to the Tiburon Tavern! Sauline Gulbiniene Director of Food and Beverage Outlets
Always the best experience from a most welcoming group of people who work at the restaurant. Great value on the happy hour menu, and loved the shrimp tostadas. Also took advantage of the Wed 30% off bottles of wine. Love this place for casual meetings, lunch or dinner, and catching some sun on their patio.
Hi Donna! Thank you so much for your comment and feedback! I'm so happy to hear that you had the best experience at the Tiburon Tavern. We are honored to have you as our guest and look forward to your return! Sauline Gulbiniene Director of Food and Beverage Outlets
My wife did not receive her breakfast when they served me mine. Ten minutes later the waiter came and admitted he forgot her order. When he finally brought her order, it was not what she ordered. We said we would just have the bloody Mary’s that we ordered and go. He wa very apologetic and to his credit we were not charged for the drinks, but left hungry. We drove from San Francisco and were very disappointed.
This is one of my favorite spots. Welcoming attitude from every staff member. Great wine list. Tasty food no matter whether you come for happy hour lunch or dinner. This time the shrimp tostadas were the choice and were really good.
This is a wonderful place to visit and dine. We had a group so we tried everything. The service was terrific, such friendly people and so accommodating. The location is so beautiful, quiet and relaxing. The music was calm and wonderful. The hotel is a place I will visit again. The menu is extensive with a very interesting and exotic selection for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Things like lavender butter waffles on the menu. Everything we tried was great: burgers, sandwiches, breakfast burritos, waffles, calamari, soup and salads with veggies and herbs grown on the property.
Go there, you will be glad you did. A Real Gem.
Excellent breakfast across the board. My wife had the lavender orange French toast and I had the biscuits and gravy. Both were amazing. The lavender orange was subtle enough not to take over the French toast and just enough added flavor to make it stand apart from every day plain French toast. The biscuits and gravy was perfect. Not too salty and not overwhelming - just enough of everything.
Our waiter was amazing. They were clearly very much understaffed the day we went for brunch. Our waiter did everything he could to make it up to us, comping our drink order. They should make him the manager. Our group all felt his honesty and looking out for us made the experience worth it. He even personally made our cocktails! The food was fine, but it was our waiter that really made the difference. I'm just sorry we didn't remember his name.
Service was good. Staff are friendly. Food was great . Parking exit gate was broken so took couple minutes to get out
Great service. Great food. Very nice location and ambiance. Staff was exceptional. Definitely will return.
We celebrated my birthday here with about 20 people for brunch. Suline was great in setting everything up for me. Shelly took over day of and was a sweetheart. Our waiter was nice, but got impatient with us on a couple occasions. He just seemed a little overwhelmed. Food pretty good. Great mimosa deal!
Wonderful.place to enjoy family and good food
Food and decor are mismatched. Great food and wine list but very plain tavern/cafe ambiance. Service excellent and knowledgeable.
Food was good, but an automatic 20% gratuity is a bit much.
Bartender was excellent!
Easter brunch was perfect!
We were there celebrating our son's engagement, and the service was very good and they took really good care of us! thank you!
Always a pleasure to come here. Super friendly service that makes you really feel welcome to stay and enjoy the setting and the food. The food is consistently good. And a great wine selection by the glass and the bottle.
I still continue to enjoy Tiburon Tavern. We celebrated my 40th birthday and it was a very nice time with my family.
Fabulous experience. Delicious food great service. Charming location. Will go back.
Small menu, but delicious. Great Staff: Hopping on weekends, but great place for a quiet friends and family early dinner on Sundays
The Caesar Salad was not good--minimal effort went into taste and presentation. The Salmon on toast points would have been better if the toast was not soggy. It took a while to get water refills on a warm day outside.
Go on a Wednesday cause wine discounted 30%. Calamari was soggy. Burgers and salad were good. Place is ok.
Service was great and ambiance was great. Food was average at best. Overpriced for what it was. The kids menu looked great, but it wasn't kids food....it was adult food served in a smaller portion. Fancy mac-n-cheese and grilled cheese doesn't go over well with a 5 and 2 year old. The cheese was smoked or aged or something that is way too gourmet for kids!
Chicken tasted microwaved, dry. Felt like we were dining in a Hilton Garden Inn buffet meal.
