Tiburon has done it again. Great food, great service, and great environment!
We thouroghly enjoyed ourselves and the food also, nice!
Delicious pork belly appetizer and Elk Tenderloin entree. Great place.
Been here 5 times now Love the quaint atmosphere here, service is always professional. Not enough words to describe the food. Out of this world. Can't wait for my next visit.
Wonderful food and atmosphere. I had the elk steak and it was the best steak i have ever had.
I think this is my favorite restaurant in the valley.
If I had a criticism it would be that the menu remains relatively the same for years
BEST SALT LAKE EXPERIENCE !!!
My wife is very particular when I comes to trying new places and not often do I hit a home run when I convince her to try a new place. This was our first visit and here I am three days later listening to her rave about how great it was. We will be back for sure.
Tiburon served by far the best food I have ever eaten. My friend and I came here specifically for the elk steak, but the salad was so good, I almost filled up on it instead. The sorbet had the consistency of ice cream and was soft and delicious. The elk steak practically melted in my mouth and was amazing. The mint lemonade was also extremely tasty. The ambiance was beautiful, I loved the low lighting and the table candle. My only complaint would be the chairs were mildly uncomfortable. Everything else, including the service, was amazing!
Our experience was absolutely outstanding. Our plates were pieces of art. The combination of savory and sweet and food appropriate for what we ordered was unique. Our waiter, Ryan, was terrific..cordial, professional, patient and very knowledgeable. Our drive was worth it . Fine dining is by far different than fast food. What we paid for our dinner was worth every penny. Ryan treated us like we were special. We are new to Utah with a background of owning restaurants ourselves from the Seattle area. Tiburon is a sweeeet little gem, and oh so delicious. Kudos to Chef Carlos in the kitchen....it was all amazing. I imagined the spirit of Julia Childs was present. Thank you. We personally know what it takes to achieve a team of perfection.
I went with my wife for Valentine's and we enjoyed the place and the food. Everything was perfect, including the service.
Food was awesome as usual, but boy is it loud. We got probably the worst seats in the house right next to the bar. Lots of traffic and noise. But hey, the food is worth it.
The food here never disappoints.
Food was very good as usually, service was good as usually, but i had reserved the night asking to be seated in the inside Patio and when we got there right on time the Hostise stated that there were no four person table's in the back Patio, yet with my own eyes I saw two empty tables with four empty chairs. We come here quite a bit and this upset me greatly, I'll really considere coming back!!!
The food and service was awesome . Would rec this restaurant for any special occasion.
We went on a Tuesday (day before Valentine's Day), and the place was mostly filled with couples. The decor is 'meh', but from the moment we sat down, it was all about the service and the food.
From the crab cakes, to the elk and tuna we had for dinner, the food was to an excellent standard. The ingredients worked together, and while we are not big eaters, we ate a lot. The portions were so well thought out that we didn't leave hungry (French portions? No!) or were not stuffed.
One of our better meals, and we are global travelers.
Tiburon is consistently good food. One of my favorite restaurants in Salt Lake
excellent food and service. It was a little loud however. Difficult to visit
Tiburon is our new "go-to" for special occasions. The scallop appetizers were perfect. We loved the house salad. Our entrees were all from the regular menu and included tenderloin, elk, and salmon. All were wonderful and included several small portions of creative sides. We especially enjoyed the spaghetti squash. Service was great.
The peak noise level in the main dining area on a busy Saturday night was a little distracting. In future we will ask to be seated in the back area or on the patio in good weather. The wine by the glass menu was limited. We took our own wine (corkage was $12) and it worked out well.
Great solo meal. Really enjoyed the elk!
The food was not well portioned and had no flavor. Will never eat here again. Was not a good value for the money..wish we had gone to Texas roadhouse or longhorn steakhouse.
Food came out cold. Pork belly Appetizer was not fresh cooked. Tasted like it had been pulled out of the fridge as a two day leftover.
Staff were eating their own dinner when we walked in. Service was slow.
Something a little creepy about he staff.
Metal chairs need to go.
They need a fresh approach to decor, food and staff. Place has gone down hill over the past 10 years.
Too much garlic!
There is no way to improve perfection. Every time we go, it's fantastic.
My husband and I were in SLC for the weekend so I suggested dinner here. I had previously been here twice with my daughter and both times were wonderful. I made reservations on Open Table a few hours before 5:00 which is the time we wanted and it was actually the only time slot still available. We arrived at 4:55 and were seated immediately on the enclosed patio. With the strategic placement of a few small space heaters it was a comfortable temperature. I ordered an appetizer and salad for myself because I knew the meal portions are large. My husband had the salmon which is on the regular menu. The food was wonderful, as usual, and we enjoyed the atmosphere and service as well. We will definitely be returning in the future.
The food was wonderful. We had the filet and lobster. It was quite frustrating because we we seated next to a group of 6 that were extremely loud. It was hard to converse with one another as a result.
We have been to Tiburon many times over the years and have always enjoyed the food. We had been to their sister restaurant the week before, Wild Rose and experienced a much better meal overall than we have the following week at Tiburon.
My husband ordered the steak and lobster special. The lobster was overly seasoned with garlic to his taste. I ordered the ribeye which I had done the previous week, but this time it was flavored with too much of the rich sauce. Overall we enjoyed eating at Wild Rose much better than Tiburon.
We love it here. It's not a cheap meal, but it's well worth the price. The food is amazing and everything is cooked perfectly.
Loved every bite! It is expensive but, worth it for a special occasion!
Better than anticipated. Had long looked forward to dining here, and now regretting all the times we allowed the chance to pass us. Food was perfect, and the ambiance is cozy. The lighting is darker, but perfect for a romantic evening. Staff was friendly and attentive.
Can’t wait to go back.
Truly fantastic food. The elk and surf and turf were divine. Service excellent. Will visit again.
The food was amazing!!! Our waitress was very kind and took great care of us! I couldn't decide between two desserts so she surprised me and brought a small compliation of both desserts so I could experience them. I definitely recommend Tiburon!!!!
Excellent food and perfect service. We never felt ignored or neglected, nor were we smothered and continuously bothered. Timing of each course was perfect, wines were amazing. Highly recommended!
I took clients here for a business dinner and we all loved Tiburon. The menu features both meat and seafood, and the food is fantastic. Our server was very attentive and professional, making great suggestions and keeping our beverages refilled and plates cleared in quick fashion. Restaurant is cozy, feels like a classy cabin or lodge. Appetizers were delicious- crab cakes and pork belly- the latter being some of the best we've ever had. A delicious salad with fresh greens, apple slices and candied walnuts followed, it was crunchy and delicious. The house specialty is elk, which is what I ordered for an entree and it was amazing. I've never had elk before but I have eaten game meat, and it tends to be a little tougher and sometimes over-seasoned to mask undesirable flavors that come with eating game living in the wild. Not so at Tiburon. The elk meat was extremely tender- our server said it could be cut with a spoon and he was right. They served it a perfect medium-rare and I savored every last bite. There was some type of honey glaze sauce on the side, and it was just the right sweetness. We were so full our only regret is that we didn't leave room for dessert. This has to be one of the top restaurants in Sandy, and even if you need to drive a bit to get here, it's well worth it.
Excellent food and service. Our new favorite place to eat!
Wonderful! Both food and service. One of the best meals I’ve had in months.
Tiburon really is a neighborhood gem. Not many options for fine dining in Sandy, but this is the place. Steaks, prepared to perfection, best I have ever had. Service is attentive but not intrusive. Staff pay attention to details, refilling water, bread, whisking away dirty dishes, etc.
We ate here on our anniversary and it was perfect. Very romantic and quiet. The food was astounding and I was impressed that they change out your silverware after each dish to avoid mixing flavors. Before they brought out our main meal, they served some fancy iced green apple mixture to cleanse the pallet.
Tiburon is a special little gem in the Salt Lake valley. Charming atmosphere, friendly & experienced staff and a wonderful menu make Tiburon one of my favorite dining experiences. I love their ahi tuna with The 7 Deadly Zins Zinfandel and their scallops are some of the best I've had, ever.
This is the second time we've been to Tiburon for NYE dinner, we will be making it a tradition. The food is fantastic!
