About Tiburon Fine Dining

Tiburon Fine Dining has quietly become one of Utah's premier restaurants. Tiburon is located in the south end of the Salt Lake valley in an unassuming building that formerly housed a fruit stand. But don't be fooled, Tiburon serves award-winning contemporary American cuisine ranging from pan-seared Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras and Madiera syrup to Black Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Honey and Soy Marinated Carrots. The Crab Cakes consistently win best in the state and the salads are raved about by the locals. But it does not end with the food, service is always top-notch. Led by a staff that has been with owners since its opening in 1999, guests always feel welcomed in the warm and friendly atmosphere. And in the Summer with it's patio dining. Tiburon is the place to dine in the South Valley.

I can't say enough about this place. My husband and I always try to branch out to other restaurants in the Salt Lake City area and every single time we regret not just sticking with Tiburon. We always end up returning as soon as we can. The noise level is just right and the food is always cooked to perfection. The handcrafted cocktails are also done flawlessly. We have a great experience every single time, no matter if we're seated inside or outside. We always ask for Tom as our waiter and he is always up to speed on all the multi-faceted entree specials and is always so friendly and conversational. Hands down best fine dining in the Salt Lake Valley, no questions asked.

One of SLC's hidden gems. Fine dining in an intimate atmosphere.

The food is exceptional and each course is designed to maximize flavor and taste. In fact, I would argue the salad Tiburon serves as the first course might well be the best I've ever had.

One of my favorite spots!

We had a lovely dinner out on the patio. I ordered a glass of Riesling which was generous in size and smooth to drink. We both had the salmon entree which was excellent. The salad was a delicious too!

I would have never assumed that this little out of the way restaurant would be good. You pull up and parking is minimal which was kind of off putting but you open the door and your not only greeted by an amazing caring and knowledgeable staff but such an intimate romantic and cozy dining experience. All of the food we had was divine, as my girlfriend put it, from the mussels as a starter to the main courses and desert everything was phenomenal!! Yes it is a pricy location but if you want an unforgettable dining experience with an amazing wine selection as well as a super romantic venue set your gps and get to this restaurant ASAP!!!

Dining on the patio offers a quiet and beautiful romantic setting perfect for an evening with that someone special in your life. The food is top shelf and the staff are attentive and friendly. I heartily suggest dining here.

Well worth the 45 minute drive. The wait staff did a wonderful job taking care of us in addition to a large group. Outdoor dining in the early summer was great. The food and the presentation of the food was exceptional. This is pricey but is really worth a special dinner. It was a very pleasant evening.

This place is an all time favorite. Very consistently has great food and fantastic service. Excellent wine selection and the menu has items such as duck, elk, and sometime buffalo meat. Doesn't matter what I order, it's cooked to perfection and the presentation is excellent.

Tiburon is a nice restaurant: nice ambiance, great service, and it is clear that they are trying hard to give their guests a memorable, upscale dining experience. That said, the menu is limited and both items we had with sauce on them (an appetizer and an entree) tasted quite similar despite the fact that one was chicken and one was beef. There were few options for "picky" eaters, and although there was fish on the menu, I recall no other seafood like shrimp, prawns, crab or lobster. Of the two beef options, one was blackened, so not a lot of alternatives. The fresh salad was excellent, a terrific combination of flavors and textures. The bread was good but the herb butter tasted strange, with garlic, herbs and something sweet in it (honey?) too. The combination came out tasting icky. Our entrees were beautifully plated, but again, the overly flavorful gravy detracted from the taste of the filet and the mix of vegetables included a sweet potato or yam puree that wasn't my thing, either. Although I would give Tiburon and "A" for effort, we both came out feeling like our money would be better spent elsewhere.

We were seated immediately. Our waitress was very attentive. She uncorked our wine, offered a taste test, and poured our first glass. Great and appropriate. My elk was superb, as was my wife's lamb. It was our wedding anniversary, and our server brought a complimentary dessert. All in all, one of, if not thee best meal we have ever had anywhere. Thank you, Tiburon. With thanks, Jerry P Budd

We have been coming to Salt Lake City for many years for the skiing nearby.
We were looking for a new place to eat when I found Tiburon on a Trip Advisor. The reviews were very good so we decided to try them out. Everything was just as good as the reviews said. The service was excellent and the food was delicious! It was said to be expensive but when you consider that the entree includes a salad and sides the price is very reasonable. We will be returning to Tiburon on future ski trips.

Always a great experience here. Our wait staff is always prompt and courteous. Owner has even come out to chat with us, stepping in to help out His crew when needed. Food is always good, meat is prepared as requested. Only draw back is we have dined here so often that a few new dishes on the menu would be great.

Although it was a good experience and food was good I do feel it's a bit overpriced. At least some of the items. I don't see how Salmon can cost $38, but all was delicious and the service was great.

One of the best meals I've had in Salt Lake. Very well presented. Some of the best beef I have ever had. Great service. They will split a meal for a $10 fee which is perfect for the lighter appetite

It's a great place to relax, enjoy your company, and be pampered with fabulous food. Tiburon has an unique way to make your senses awaken. The flavors come together regardless if you enjoy salmon, beef tenderlion, tuna, or elk.
We celebrated a few of my friends birthdays, and they did a great job taking care of a table of 9. We were impressed with the service and the entrees. Every person at the table was entertained with the plates and the most talked about entree was the Elk. Personally, I love the way the tuna was prepared. It was tasty and not too salty. Every bite made me wanting another bite. Every dish is prepared with thought and attention to detail.
Tiburon is always a pleasure to visit, and I look forward to another dining experience.

We came here for a business meal and couldn't be happier. The service was great, ambiance was perfect for the occasion and food was incredible. Most people got the Elk or steak and nobody had a bad word to say about it. We had one vegetarian in the group and while it wasn't on the menu, the chef put together a vegetarian option with whatever veggies he had in the back with some balsamic vinaigrette.

Highly recommend this as a date place or any occasion. It was quiet enough to have a nice conversation and everything was fantastic.

What a wonderful find! Tiburon has great food and a pretty patio. What we loved best was the option of splitting a plate, a perfect way to try more of the very interesting and well-prepared items on the menu. We were able to have a salad and an appetizer and then split the house special elk dinner. Everything was fabulous.
