Tiburon Fine Dining has quietly become one of Utah's premier restaurants. Tiburon is located in the south end of the Salt Lake valley in an unassuming building that formerly housed a fruit stand. But don't be fooled, Tiburon serves award-winning contemporary American cuisine ranging from pan-seared Beef Tenderloin with Foie Gras and Madiera syrup to Black Sesame-Crusted Ahi Tuna with Honey and Soy Marinated Carrots. The Crab Cakes consistently win best in the state and the salads are raved about by the locals. But it does not end with the food, service is always top-notch. Led by a staff that has been with owners since its opening in 1999, guests always feel welcomed in the warm and friendly atmosphere. And in the Summer with it's patio dining. Tiburon is the place to dine in the South Valley.

Tried this place for our date night dinner. Food was good but some items (veggies) not cooked enough and my husband loved the Elk steak.
Ryan Miller was there and was wonderful to listen to throughout the evening.

I had the halibut. It was cooked to perfection. All four of us throughly enjoyed our meals. The service was superb and our server was extremely attentive. My wife has special dietary needs (gluten free) and the server and chef were totally in tune with our requests.

This was finally my first visit, We had a mixed experience at Tiburon. The food was good but not great. The menu is very dated, from the cocktail menu to how they garnish their entrees. Very 1999. My wife had the Elk and I had the Ahi. Both proteins were prepared very well, but the rest of these dishes didn’t not come up to bat. If you order the Ahi, sub out the rice because it is not good at all. I have heard about Tiburon for years and unfortunately I would likely not choose to go back after this. It doesn’t carry the cost. We asked the server for suggestions and only the most expensive items were suggested, including the wine which our server could not pronounce correctly.

I have dinned here many times and was greeted with courteous friendly service, excellent food and a wonderful atmosphere. I provided the business associate I had dinned with many times before 9 choices of top restaurants and chose the Tiburon.

My husband and I decided to give Tiburon a try for my birthday. We wanted to go somewhere where we could dress up nice and not feel out of place. This restaurant was a great choice for that.
To start, the bread and butter served to us was delicious. The bread was very fresh and soft. The butter was so good. It was sweet with just a hint of spice! Our dinner salads came next. They were delicious as well! I believe they were a spring mix with a basil shallot balsamic emulsion with candied pecans and fontina cheese. The pineapple sorbet palette cleanser was good. It was a little bit too “pulpy” for me, but my husband really enjoyed it. For my main course I had the Tenderloin of Beef. My filet mignon was cooked exactly how I ordered it. It was tender and juicy and the glaze was excellent. The potatoes and vegetables were great. My husband had the seared salmon. He said it was beautifully cooked with just the right amount of crispy. It was one of the best salmons he’s eaten.
Our waitress Camryn was very friendly and attentive. She knew the menu well as wells as the specials. She took great care of us. We would Definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone. We had such a good experience.

Tiburon was an amazing experience - my wife had the salmon and I had the tenderloin of beef - some of the best we have ever eaten. We would also highly recommend the seared scallops appetizer (could have eaten about three plates worth) and take a chance on the mint lemonade, great combination of flavors.
Our server, Preston, was attentive, with just the right mixture of being there when you needed something and staying away when you needed to talk.
We absolutely are going to go back again and bring friends!

Food was excellent as usual. The patio was very crowded with multiple 10 party tables so the ambiance and noise were not what we were expecting for a Wednesday night. We will be back anyway because the food is exceptional.

Food was delicious, but the pork belly was a bit disappointing when everything else was awesome. Ambiance outside was fantastic but inside was dark and a bit noisy. Overall I think it was worth the price and the service was great.

Great experience! Was treating my girlfriend to celebrate and this was a perfect choice. The mint lemonade was fantastic and I wish I could buy bottles to take home! My girlfriend and I were concerned about the freshness of the fish due to Utah being inland, but our server assured us it was all fresh since SLC is a Delta hub and thats how they get their fish. We even managed to be there on a Friday, when they get their shipment in! So it was as fresh as possible. We got scallops (fantastic, would highly reccomend!) crabcakes (also delicious but a little mushy) and after appetizers we were served house salads which were amazing. Entrees we got was the chefs special of the day, a halibut with butter carrot sauce, spinach, and fresh seasonal vegetables. It was spectacular. Then I got the elk tenderloin medium rare with the mushrooms and vegetables. Fantastic! I between salads and entrees they served a sorbet made from fresh orange juice that was superb. Again I wish I could buy a pint to take home, my girlfriend absolutely adored it. For desert, we got one of every desert on the menu. HIGHLY reccomending the creme brulee. The cinnamon ice cream reminded me of horchata. Delicious. I want to know who they get their berries from, they were all fresh and sweet. Our server, Ryan, was a huge sweetheart and made sure all our needs were attended to. The outdoor seating was hot, but he made sure we had plenty of water and I noticed he offered every table he was waiting outside the option to sit indoors with AC, which some people did take up. The fairy lights outdoors and the quaint fountain and flowers were a wonderful atmosphere for a celebratory dinner. Thank you Tiburon for a wonderful dining experience. I'd certainly dine there again, if work gives me another bonus! Haha.

Our server (Ryan) was attentive and helpful. He provided insight on a local Vodka, which I tried and loved in a martini. Of course our meal was fantastic, starting with the spinach and pecan salad. It paired well with the bread and favored compound butter. The beef tenderloin was prepared as I requested, medium rare. The Seared Ahi was equally delicious. The steamed vegetables where slightly crunchy (yum) and seasoned perfectly.

We love Tiburon Fine Dining!

I would love for open table to add the option for patio dining to your reservations for this restaurant. I made a reservation and wanted to sit outside but they said I had to specify that when booking my reservation. Next time I will put it in the notes. Thanks!

As always, the experience at Tiburon was excellent. Food is delicious, service is friendly and knowledgeable, and the atmosphere is calming. We sat out on the patio in perfect weather which made it even better!

We have been going there ever since they opened. The food us always fantastic and service is good. It's our favorite upscale restaurant. Our favorite is the tenderloin of beef. Their salad is superb and the spread for their bread is amazing.

We had a great dinner here. Very nice outdoor seating surrounded by trees and overhead lights. Both our steaks were cooked very well. The scallops in the appetizer were fantastic.
