Tiara Restaurant - Queen's Landing Hotel Ratings and Reviews
Beautiful restaurant and amazing service. I have allergies to shellfish as well as, I’m lactose intolerance! The chef was able to accommodate me with anything I wanted on the menu, i really appreciated that! I felt very comfortable knowing my allergies were taken serious. Food was amazing, I’ve never tasted so many flavours in one meal, I ordered the chicken, my boyfriend ordered the lamb, both our meals were fantastic. We will definitely come back. Thank you for just an amazing experience.
Our server, Rudy, was amazing! He was very attentive, knowledgeable, and friendly.
Our appetizers were unremarkable. The escargot were awful. I can’t remember the last time I had anything so bland. Salt and pepper didn’t even help. The cheese plate, however, was very good.
The main course was good. We both had the beef tenderloin and both were cooked perfectly. No steak knives necessary.
The desserts were excellent. Both presentation and flavor were fantastic.
The coffee was quite weak. Definitely not the quality you would expect for this caliber of restaurant.
Overall, I would say the restaurant is overpriced for the quality of the food. The service from Rudy, however, was outstanding.
We were both greatly disappointed in the food at Tiara. We had mentioned in our reservation that we were celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary. Staff did nothing to acknowledge this. The main course of chicken was presented with different flavours that did not compliment the main course. Our waiter did not serve our meals and was absent throughout the duration. He did not come by to see if our meals were ok. I would have sent the meal back. I can not recommend this restaurant and will not return.
We went out to dinner Christmas Day with friends. The food was delicious. The service was excellent and not rushed. We had plenty of time to visit. There was beautiful live music in the background that we enjoyed. The restaurant was quiet so it was easy to hear and talk with our friends. Thank you for an excellent evening.
We had a wonderful time at Tiara. From the greeting, to the service to the food it was such a fantastic night!
We would recommend Tiara to anyone for the food, service and overall experience. Rose, our server, was phenomenal. I have dietary issues and Rose and the chef were wonderful with accommodating and $are it very easy for me.
Thank you for a wonderful birthday!
AMAZING food and service. Wonderful presentation of the food and fantastic variety esp. if you're a vegetarian or meat lover. Great waiter - best wait service I've ever experienced. The only criticism I have is that you need more than one person behind the omelette/crepe/carvery station as it took approx. 10 minutes to get a piece of beef. But otherwise I was blown away by it all. And the crème de brulee dessert for my birthday was unexpected and a total delight so thank you so much!
Spend the weekend at Queens Landing on a tasting and dinning package which Included a $50 credit to Tiara. Both my wife and I ordered the beef tenderloin but one got fingerling potatoes and one got mashed potatoes. My wife ordered her steak medium well and I ordered mine medium rare both cooked the way we ordered. Our waiter advised that her steak would take longer and suggested an appetizer. We went with the Arancini balls which were great and you got 5 for only $9. Those came out within 20 min but after we finished that and the bread we did not get our steak or an update from our waiter until an hour and 35 min after we got to the restaurant. It was easily 45 min from when we finished eating the arancini to when we got our entrees. Those were amazing 6 oz I believe cut and they did accommodate our request for different potatoes. Our waiter was good but an update about the delay would have been nice. Was worth it because we had a $50 credit but otherwise might have been a stretch for the quality and service at that cost.
Disappointed. Waitress offered athe Hotel shuttle service but we were turned down by the driver as our B&B was “too far”... literally 5 minutes away... while waiting 1/2 hour for a cab, we overheard him taking guests to a winery two minutes from where we were staying. Beyond that, the food was so so... not worth the price with so many other good options.
Waiter was wonderful !
Charcuterie plate was overpriced for what was on it.
Coffee is extremely weak, however when we went for breakfast the next morning and I ordered an espresso to add to our coffee pot to make it stronger, we weren't charged for the espresso. Appreciated. :)
40th Anniversary celebration. We were entertained by special attention provided by our server Rudy. He assured our satisfaction with all aspects of the evening and surprised us with a thoughtful presentation of the dessert order. Rudy willingly assisted with photos that have become our treasured memories of a wonderful evening. The food was exceptional and prepared exactly to our liking. Highly recommend this restaurant for a quiet, romantic evening , ask for Rudy
We have been to Niagara-on-the-Lake many times. I have never had a bad experience until we visited Tiara. It started out great. Our Sommelier was very pleasant. She recommended a wine we were quite enjoying. My husband had the Risotto and it was good. No complaints there. The escargot appetizer he had was really bland but he finished it. I ordered the special which was duck breast. It was cut very thick and it was really tough. I told our waitress who REALLY wanted me to order another meal. I declined because I had an appetizer and my husband had already almost finished his meal. She then tried to get me to order a dessert...pretty standard when one doesn't get a meal. I declined. We asked for the bill and when it came the bottle of wine listed was not what we had. The waitress had looked at the bottle previous so she was well aware. It was also still in the stand! It turned into a big deal....why do you need a manager to make a correction on the bill? It was really odd. Overall, not a great experience.
The food at Tiara is excellent. Portions are fare, not too much. The service is also excellent. We made reservations, but probably did not need them. Dinner prices are on the high side, so frequent dining there would not be for us. For special occasions or infrequent dining, it is a great place.
Daily salad special was very good but value was questionable. 1 smallish bunch of charred romaine with dressing and a couple of cheese shavings was $18.
Entree was chicken. Received two slices of a chicken breast which maybe added up to about a half a medium breast. I think it was around $30. Again very well prepared but small portion for the average male. Large basket of fresh breads hardly makes up for the small portions.
Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and they did not disappoint! When I made the reservation I had mentioned it was for a birthday and when we ordered dessert they had a special message/presentation prepared for that which was an awesome surprise! Great service, fantastic food and excellent ambiance. Highly recommend it for your next date night!
We stayed at Queen's Landing hotel and had dinner one night at Tiara Restaurant. Staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. Setting is beautiful at this very upscale restaurant. Food was excellent. As hotel guests we had a special rate as part of a dining package, making the meal an excellent value. Only drawback is that we were seeing an 8 pm show at the Shaw Festival. With a 6 pm dinner reservation we thought we had plenty of time, but we had to rush through dessert. Tiara is geared to slow leisurely dining, not to pre-theatre
