Tiara Restaurant - Queen's Landing Hotel
great food.... great staff and very quiet. I would recommend, in a heart beat
As always the staff and food at Tiara is spectacular! The peaceful setting adds to the experience also!
Arthur our server was outstanding! We’ve been to Tiara many times over the years and will continue to visit in the future.
The staff are friendly and attentive and the room is stunning but for the second time, the food was incredibly poor. We had breakfast and it's hard to know how you can make a simple dish so badly... You'll get a breakfast ten times as well prepared and tasty at Sunset Grill. Our eggs were hard but also watery from the poach, the toast was burnt, the potatoes a combination of raw and burnt. It was practically inedible. I would not write this place off as it's such a nice venue and you could not ask for better service, but the kitchen is not great just now.
A disappointing experience.
Service was very good and friendly. Server was quite attentive.
Food fell short of expectations, especially in view of the prices.
Large, loud group was seated close to "tables for two" even though all of the rest of the restaurant was available.
We had a lovely dinner at Tiara...it was our second visit and it did not disappoint! Food was delicious! We were lucky to have the same server, Rose, and the service was classy and top-notch. Great evening in Niagara on the Lake. We will definitely return on our next visit!
Lovely setting, our waiter was outstanding. Not rushed.
As usual service is cheerful and attentive. Food is excellent and a lovely setting. Can't wait to return.
Tiara has a really good brunch, the choices are many and varied and it is all really flavourful. The hot food however has to be put on ice cold plates so by the time I sat down to eat the food was cold. This was disappointing and hopefully this situation can be rectified. I will still recommend Tiara for brunch and I will go back again myself because its really good.
We had a very nice dinner with great table service but the atmosphere is somewhat bland institutional and the noise level was surprisingly high as it’s one large room with little sound buffering fabric or dividers. There is a nice view over the marina. However, we’ve had equally nice, if not better, meals with equally
good service at other locations that had a lot more character. I will rate this place highly as there was nothing wrong, but we’re unlikely to choose to dine there again as we prefer places with better ambiance.
Shelly and Patrick made our Anniversary Dinner outstanding! Great food and incredible service. Thank you so much for a wonderful evening!
The Thanksgiving dinner was delicious from start to finish. Excellent service from Kevin in a lovely setting.
What exceptional views this restaurant offers, overlooking the marina and surrounding beautifully groomed flowerbeds, regardless what table you are seated in! Elegant, sophisticated ambiance and decor throughout. Excellent, knowledgeable staff. Food and service were wonderful. The Thanksgiving dinner incorporated the finest local and regional ingredients. 'Truly delicious' Baked Celery Root Soup with Grainy Mustard Cream; Niagara Pear and Cardamon Sorbet; Herb Roasted Turkey Breast with Praline Pudding; Maple Roots and Bulbs; Spiced Apple Walnut Torte. All food was so beautifully plated. Our heartfelt Congratulations to the very talented, creative Chef!
The service was very slow. However, we were out to enjoy ourselves. One comment. The family next to us decided to let their kids entertain themselves with video games. I could not hear the nice jazz over the dinging of the game.
You may want to have a cell phone / gaming policy in the dining room. Children that can't behave should go to a bar or a roadhouse.
This was our Thanksgiving celebration dinner. We are locals who have often eaten in the Tiara room. We found the food just OK, service quite slow (but waitress very good). We were kind of disappointed overall.
We appreciated our server Rudy and the special dessert platter. The sommelier was not dressed as I expected an employee of the restaurant.
This place used to be amazing. It is now looking tired and overpriced. The waiters are very charming and helpful but there was also some sloppiness.
We loved everything about our meal. The setting overlooking the marina in the heart of Niagara on the Lake was delightful, the food delicious and service exceptional.
Lovely brunch on Sunday. Busy but not overly full, food was plentiful and good choices. Relaxed atmosphere.
49th Wedding Aniversary
Book early if you want the Sunday brunch 11:30 to 1; my reservation was for 1:15 we were a bit early (1:00) but they were able to seat us. The selection were great and well presented. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Would recommend this brunch. My wife uses a walker and they made sure we were seated on the upper level. One suggestion for the buffet a few signs to show the start not obvious when coming from the dining room (large dinner plates are at the far end. It was our anniversary (51) and they had a nice desert presentation for us:) Mike & Toni Toronto
Server (Matt) made excellent recommendations.
The food was fantastic and it was an excellent dining experience.
What a beautiful view for a morning breakfast. Service was amazing so much attention to detail. Looking forward to our next visit.
Surprisingly empty for a Friday night, but they had a large private dinner going on. Food was nicely prepared and dressed. Peaches and cream brulet dad peach fruit in the bottom. A pleasant and tasty surprise!
Excellent!!! great table by window overlooking the marina....Food was beautifully plated and cooked perfectly...Rudy was excellent, knowledgeable, helpful ...What a pleasant experience...will be back
Food and service were both outstanding.
From the moment we checked in the sophistication and class of this restaurant was apparent. A very extensive wine and cocktail menu was explained and a sommelier was offered if we had any questions. Rose, our server, was friendly and engaging while making sure we had everything we needed for our Anniversary meal. We were surprised with a rose, candles and dessert. This was top notch for sure. A must while in NOTL.
I asked for a quieter spot but there was no need as the restaurant was very quiet. Great table by the window and excellent food and service.
Chef Bailey came out personally to help customize two three course vegan entrees for our evening. Our server Rudy was excellent. Rose petals on the table for ambiance and we had the view of Lake Ontario. A beautiful night!
The dining room is one of the best in the area for views and comfort. Food presentation was excellent as well was the taste. Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable when he managed to stop by. Many times we had uncomfortably long waits between visits due to the rush to get theater guests out in time.
We were particularly impressed with the staff with whom we interacted. When we first arrived the maître de was away taking care of some matter. A waiter (who turned out to be the one who served us) noticed and stepped in to welcome us. During our meal, he was very pleasant and professional. We also had a great time interacting with the sommelier who was obviously very knowledgeable. The meals were most enjoyable and because I had indicated that we were celebrating our anniversary, a complementary dessert was provided. A great experience.
We had a beautiful celebration diner with Tiara ,they showered our table overlooking the Niagara River with Peony peddles. The food and ambiance were worth the menu prices however I listed it as excellent value because of the package deal we received as patron s at one of the other Hotels they are affiliated with.
We renewed our wedding vows small party of 6 just family and had our celebration Dinner in the Tiara Restaurent it was very good.
But what made it special was the staffs attention to detail right from the flowers which was taken from our venue for our renewal which was at the local Gazebo by the water
Burney from (in house)Clippings set up the flowers in the gazebo and after our ceremony set up a wonder decoration with the same flowers for our table and did a fantastic job
The food and wine were excellent all the service staff were delightful and attentive my family cannot thank you enough will always come back here wonderful memories. wonderful Staff beautiful location.
We were there for our anniversary. I had not announced this when I made the reservation. The server took it upon herself to let the kitchen know and they decorated our desserts for the occasion. Our server was a delight.
We enjoyed our first dinner at Tiara. Our server Rose was first class all the way and so friendly! The food was delicious and we had a lovely view of the Niagara River, even though we weren't sitting right at the window. We were going to the theatre and everything came out quickly and we were able to walk over to the theatre from Tiara in about 4 minutes!! We highly recommend Tiara and will be back again!
Server was great, reminded us of a package so we could save a couple bucks!
We came for the Sunday brunch and we asked if we could be seated outside and the hostess allowed it. It took at least 5 minutes for us to be greeted and then she didn’t know what to do when we said we were having brunch.
The food was good. There was a nice variety. We were not offered coffee or juice (it is included) and we had to ask for it after about 15-20 minutes of being seated.
The waiter didn’t come by often at all and we had been finished eating for at least 15 minutes and had to get her attention to ask for our bills.
Overall the food was good, service was not good at all. I don’t think it was worth the $45 price tag with tax and tip.
We had high expectations based on the reviews. Our arrival went smoothly, the order taken, and waitress told that we had theater tickets for 8. She said that was plenty of time. The appetizers and drinks arrived in good time. Then, 40 minutes went by with nary a view of any staff. At 7:10 we searched out our server who told us that our meals were going on the plates. Ten minutes later dinner appeared: it looked like dormitory food — just dumped on the plates. Worse, both the halibut and chicken we ordered were overdone along with the vegetables and rice - the dinners had obviously been sitting in the kitchen and had been reheated (or basked on a warming tray). The halibut was also not as described in the menu. We complained to the server who, knowing that we had to leave, offered us complementary desserts and coffee. As I am dairy intolerant, this left me with coffee. So, for $70CA we got appetizers, 2 ginger ales, 1 glass of wine, 1 dessert (which we had not intended on ordering), 2 coffees, and no dinner. While the server was apologetic, this hardly covered the experience. No one else said a word and I was surprised that we were charged anything. In all, a dreadful evening. Avoid going there.
Nice Sunday brunch with great food and good service. The selection is diverse and the table pot of coffee a nice surprise as a coffee-addict. The next table was a bit loud, but otherwise a very nice family brunch. Likely not to return anytime soon since the price is quite high, but perhaps in a year or so for a special occasion.
Great service, great food. The waiter surprised us with dessert was our anniversary.
Had seat near window was an amazing view was excellent. The price is right.
Will go back soon.
