Thousand Islands Club (TI Club)
Came in with my Dad for his birthday. We have been here several times and always had a good experience! The view of the river is amazing! Our server was on point and very knowledgable about the food and wine menu. The menu is a little different this year, but did not disappoint! The pastrami ribs appetizer is new and something I had never had before, I will definitely be back for those! I had the chicken riggies and he had the filet. All in all, it was a great dinner and my Dad had a great birthday! The staff even brought him out a dessert with a candle and sang for him! Thank you for making my Dad's 75th birthday something he will remember!
Loved everything, it was a perfect evening by the river. ❤️
Gets better every year! Service was really top notch, we enjoyed our meal very much, ending with the rhubarb crisp was the topping on the cake! Will be back!
The TI Club is our favorite local restaurant!! It never disappoints! We had a delicious meal with excellent service! There is nothing better than sitting on the patio and watching the ships go by as you enjoy your meal.
Very expensive. Seems much different than years past.
I had such an amazing and unique experience I couldn't help but come back! This time the hostess greeted me with some concern based on my last extensive 5 star review for some reason. I told her everything was great and that I wouldn't cry and make a scene over a tinder date stand up ever again. Next the waiter must have been notified and he was overly courteous wishing me a better experience. I again assured them I felt no pain from the smoldering wax or carved pentagram on my chest as I found I later I must have been sedated for at-least a week in that basement. Still the courteous staff seemed to be treading on egg shells around me and I noticed they also had very white teeth, My guess is they may have eaten to much street chalk as a child or perhaps more likely had been recently rehabilitated from eating too much bath salts. Neurochemical functions and circadian rhythm seemed to be slightly altered or impaired. Tragic however very warming to see the concern and hard work! Since my heart was filled with the Joy from my lord and savior Jesus Christ (and his lil' clan of BOZOO apostles! LOL JK) I did not receive any invitation to the basement.. Nor did George greet me in the bathroom, This time I found myself upstairs after my meal. This was a very different experience I will need to save for future review. I am afraid to alarm the recovering staff as they may take my experience to be caused from the toxic bath salts and chalk they have worked so hard to stay clean from. I will be sending my Prayers for repaired neuropathways and a fresh batch of T cells! Looking forward to visiting again with my old painter friend Rick! He was unable to come this trip as he said he was bound in some bondage tape. I believe he meant gorilla tape. Lol. Very strong stuff. Until next time make sure you get a handful of meatballs to go very tasty!
Took 10 people for my Dad’s 76th birthday. Food was great. Portions were good and the chef did an overall excellent job with everything. We sat out on the porch during an awesome rain storm. Was quite nice. D we stayed bone dry. 2 complaints. I did not pay attention to what my kids ordered. Turned out they were market price of the day. So expensive. I wish the waiter had mentioned the cost. The other thing he did not tell us was that the tip was included. At first I just put a tip on there and signed it and then happened to look again at the receipt and saw that tip was included. But, a great dining experience. Will definitely come back again!
I recently went through a rough break up and decided to pamper myself at this Resturant. The waitress was so kind! apparently my sobbing fits were distracting to other guest so she escorted me into a dark clammy basement room and chained me to a sewage pipe under a candle lit table. Ambiance of a true speakeasy! Anyway I had no idea how intense this experience would be and awoke with a pentagram carved onto my chest and most my body covered in melted candle wax. After I crawled out of the remains of this pig carcass I was stuffed in, a gaunt skeleton like man named Rick came to my rescue. He used a rusty butter knife to cut me free and lead me to safety. I dunno what happened to my waitress or how long I was there for but I would highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to undergo a transformative experience. I now live with my new friend Rick in his white wine cellar, we are going on a man date there again this week. Rick really wants to find that girl that chained me up for some reason. Will let you know how it goes if we both don’t get chained inside another pig LOL ha ha
Everything was wonderful about the experience except when we went to pay the bill. We went with another couple so we asked that the bill be split in half. Fir our part of the bill we gave a $100 visa gift card we received. The waiter came back and said their system was old and couldn’t except it. So we gave the our regular Visa card. The waiter and manager came back and advised us that the total amount had been charged to our friends card. They said they would resolve the problem that night or the next morning at the latest and would call us when resolved. Also said they would remove a round of drinks from the bill due to the problem. When we got home we realized both cards had been charged with the full amount. We tried to call the next morning, only to find out the restaurant was closed for the next two days so we left a message requesting someone to call us. The amount was eventually corrected, three days later, but never got a call and drinks were never removed from the bill. Really put a damper on a 40th year wedding anniversary!!!!
Our appetizer and salad were brought out at the same time. Also entree was brought just as we were finishing salad. Very rushed. We were seated next to a very large and noisy table. Couldn’t even talk. Others who were seated after we were actually asked to be moved. Suffered noise rather than having to sit inside.
Lots of ghost but harmless. George met me in the bathroom per usual and was telling me more dumb stories about how he acquired Tesla’s wardenclyffe tower and it’s function. Being merican I ignored the facts and told him he was a stupid conspiracy theorist because I never learnt’ it in grade school. Only public school teachers and nasa know the truth. Overall great ambience and good food. Looking forward to July’s new menu. Word in the half way house is that it’s being dropped on the 10th
Service was terrible, food was over cooked and late, not typical for the TI Club, but an unfortunate experience nonetheless
We visit the TIClub a couple of times each summer. I have recommended it to many couples for dinner.
my steak was over cooked laying on a bed of poorly cooked corn and mashed potatoes. How are other meal was to have a lobster in it however I'm still looking for it and haven't found it. Server was very nice but had zero background. Did not know what a gin and tonic was, we asked to take home the rest of our steak to feed our dogs and it never came back at your table. Never asked for dessert never asked us for coffee. What makes the ti Club so great is the view and the history. I have been coming to the ti Club for close to 60 years with a few improvements it will be as good as it was 50 years ago
We were looking for a special restaurant for our 35th Anniversary dinner, and we found it! It was our first visit to the 1000 Islands area. I had mentioned it to a friend who said his co-worker goes to the area frequently, and he said they usually go to the TI Club. Everything from the service, to the delicious food, to the beautiful view was wonderful! Our server, Michelle, took very good care of us (I have strict dietary requirements for my health) and was very personable. We can highly recommend the ribeye meatballs, tomahawk steak, pasta bolognese, and German chocolate flourless cake. Would definitely return if we vacation in the 1000 Islands again.
Absolute worst dinner in Thousand Islands! Not one of us enjoyed our dinner. Over an hour plus wait to get appetizers. They are understaffed all around. Our waitress tried her best but unfortunately this place just missed the mark in every aspect. No one even wanted the free dessert offered because we knew it wouldn’t be worth the wait. Such a disappointment!
Amazing food!! Brussels sprouts, calamari, pastrami ribs, ribeye steak, grouper and poke bowl were all outstanding, I think the previous negative reviews were too early in the season. Seems like all restaurants are having trouble finding good help but our 2 servers were excellent. Never disappointed there! Worth the money. The portions are very generous! The view is unmatched in the 1000 islands. Perfect for s good night with friends or a special occasion!!
Outdoor dining with spectacular views. Excellent food!
Overpriced meal was just ok nothing to write home about. Service was terrible waitress said it was her first night. No one was coaching her or helping. Could have gotten the same meal at Bonnie Castle for a lot less. Also the menu on the internet was not updated so 2 of the entree’s we wanted were not offered anymore.
Another great dinner at the club! crab legs are amazing and the wine list is great! plus the view is incredible!
A great way to celebrate our Anniversary!
Dinner was fine, probably won't rush to return however.
We loved going to this restaurant last year because the food was good, the service was excellent and the ambience was great. This year the food was not As good as last year. There were six of us and each person’s meal was the same poor quality. Maybe the chef we off work that day and they had a substitute.
We are locals, normally its good. But this last time it was a mess. The food was bad. Only 1 out of 4 of us that got our meals right. The first round of food was so salty it was inedible. The pasta dishes were cold, w the wrong pasta in them. The second round of food that came out was better, but served a raw fish. Needless to say, the food was a huge fail. The service was good, and they tried to make things things right. Thank goodness the salads were good!
We have been here many time, and we love it. However, the building and grounds need some significant attention. Food and service is excellent and the prices are high but expected for this very seasonal restaurant.
They always are fabulous hosts and offer amazing service. Todd was our waiter and he was attentive and helpful. Food was delicious and their homemade gelato was yummy!
What a night! We've been to the Thousand Islands Club many of times, for many years. But this particular night was a special evening. It was our anniversary and Alyson, our waitress, was so sweet and present, and of course Ben Was back!!!!! Such a treat to get to see him again (a phenomenal server we've had a few times before in past years and didn't know if we would get to see him again this season!). The two of them made us laugh so hard, yet were very efficient and professional as well. They actually brought us out a split of champagne knowing it was our anniversary, and made each and every course a true delight! We truly appreciate what the restaurant did for us, right down to the Hostess and backserver- I believe his name was Will, who was incredibly accommodating and attentive. The food was great as always, the whole staff made it an experience we will never forget, we felt like VIPs! . The only thing missing was the vanilla ice cream! 😜 We will definitely be coming back, as we have for years.
This piece of history is magical and full of old reminiscent artifacts and Photographs. Ask for a tour from Benjamin. He knows a lot of history about the area itself. I’ll be back when my family comes up in August...
Got a confirmed reservation online for dinner on 9/7/2018 at the Thousand Islands Club. When we arrived at the restaurant (after spending $3 to cross the bridge to Welsley Island), we discovered that the restaurant had closed for the season. Not impressive!! Why was the restaurant and Open Table still taking reservations after the restaurant had closed for the season?? And we had to drive 45 minutes each way to get to the restaurant. Craig W.
Always a great meal and great service at the TIC! Convenient location if you are on the island and worth the trip if you are coming from a distance.
Have been here often. Food is good and very scenic view of Alexandria Bay,NY.
Calamari steak appetizer very good. Husband had halibut special that was very good but my blackened prime rib wasn't great.
Have had their salmon and other fish entries which are always good.
Our meal was outstanding, and the view and service second to none. Highly recommended!
I had dinner last night Friday July 12, 2019 at the TI Club. Everyone in our party agreed the food was FABULOUS. The service was EXCELLENT. The timing of everything was PERFECT. I have eaten here many many times. I always enjoy it. Last night I loved it. I had the scallops. They were perfectly prepared and the corn was delicious. My husband had the pasta. He said he could not stop eating. Our guests enjoyed a perfect filet and the quinoa tuna. I can't wait to go back! Thank you to the Chef's and the whole team at The TI Club.
No rolls offered, yet roll plates on tables. I would have liked to have seen more mashed potatoes on the plate and a larger a la cart salad. A member of our group’s steak was very fatty. All other food was very good.
Fantastic view, service, and food. Always our #1 restaurant in Alexandria Bay area.
This was our first visit to the TI club. We will be back
The food was delicious
My wife and I had reservations for dinner. When we arrived, we waited at the hostess desk for almost five minutes before she showed up so we could be seated. The first thing my wife and I noticed was that the website menu and wine list didn't match what was provided at the restaurant. My rib eye steak was cooked as ordered but very very tough. It appeared the accompanied mashed potatoes neither had the chives or garlic in them as described. The sauce that came with the dish tasted like brown gravy from a can. My string beans were under cooked and lukewarm. My wife ordered the Shrimp & Grits. The menu described the dish as containing arugula. She asked the waitress if there was a lot of arugula in the dish. The waitress said there was. This prompted my wife not to order a salad. When the dish was served with no arugula, my wife questioned the waitress. The waitress came back with a bowl of arugula with the explanation, "That's how the chef's been making it." The waitress, atmosphere and wine were fine. The food quality was less than served in cheap chain restaurants. Wasn't worth the money.
Absolutely wonderful dinner this past Fri pm! Everyone was friendly, helpful and attentive from inside the bar where we had an initial refreshment to the dinner with JP waiting on us. Delicious, high quality food that was served hot & fresh. Loved sitting outside facing the majestic St Lawrence River. TY!
Went to TI Club for an anniversary dinner. We were not disappointed. We had a patio seat overlooking the river. I have to admit our conversation lagged at times because we were looking at the view.
The food was excellently prepared and very tasty. Great selection of wines and mixed drinks. The waiter was helpful, and attentive and humorous without being annoying. When we come back to the Thousand Islands, we'll stop in again!
The food was good, but not excellent. Service was very good. Seating on the balcony allowed a view of the lawn, cove, and islands, which was very pleasant. The Saturday evening we were there was extremely noisy. Luckily we booked early and could leave just as the noise of many inconsiderate guests overwhelmed us. I guess I would recommend to others, but I doubt I'll go again.
Wonderful experience. Every staff person was awesome.
Excellent food and view, worth the drive or boat ride
