Thrive, why do you have to run so hot and so cold? Out last visit the food, the service was very good. We were a party of five placed as a table suitable for 8 or 10 which made is impossible for the five of us to converse. So three of us chatted but the other two people could only converse with each other. It’s our own fault settling on this table as we should have declined it. The five of us never received out cocktails at the same time. Is that a bar issue? The lamb in the lamb sandwiches was tough, tough, tough. The ultimate was while we were still eating our meal our server asked if we wanted dessert as she had to close out our check. That Thrive, was an ultimate no no and a slap in our face. It was a poor night this time around.
The one big drawback to the restaurant is the noise level. You end up screaming across the table to be heard. It is unpleasant. After working a long day, you want to relax and enjoy the evening.
Server was nice, but inattentive once he took our orders. Water and drinks were not refilled once.
Great service and a terrific meal from start to finish. The chicken potstickers and trout were well prepared and completely satisfying. Definitely worth a repeat visit.
Yes. Its a great place for lunch but beware that the dinner menu is different and not as good.
The sushi took way too long - like 45 minutes!
The food was wonderful!! It might just have been our waiter but it took 40 minutes to get a bottle of wine and one dinner out of 5 came when the others were almost finished. So the service was terrible but the dinner great.
Ordered the lamb sandwich! Awesome as usual!
Great dining experience. Will definitely go again.
Great service and Awesome food! Definitely on my return list!!
I highly recommend the Shrimp and Grits. It was awesome!
Went for my son's belated 21st birthday we were in town to see a Falcons game. Tired the craft cocktails which were very unusual with chili pepper infused ice cubes- and a really well chilled dirty martini. The food was delicious. My son had the duck and I had shrimp and grits- not Cajun, no pork - delicious!!! We has a fantastic meal that was enhanced by Zoe, our server. She was friendly, knowledgable about the menu and did not steer is wrong. Overall a fabulous experience.
Great food and staff, I will be back next time in Atlanta
Sushi was very fresh, service was on point. Hidden gem downtown Atlanta next to Mercedes arena and congress center!
You can never go wrong here at Thrive, the sushi is delicious and the Brussel sprouts and cream kale was absolutely amazing. Will always be a go-to spot when downtown for a concert or event. The beautiful decor and staff was very pleasant and professional. never had to ask for refills was always on point.
When we go to the Theatrical Outfit, we eat at Thrive. They know our preferences and are welcoming.
A wonderful find in downtown.
reasonable priced compare to everything around them, great quality and service.
The menu looks great but the dishes we had were not as impressive as we hoped. The Brussels sprouts and potstickers were tasty. But the salads and sushi were mediocre. There weren’t many guests in the restaurant, yet the service was incredibly slow. We won’t be going back.
Loved the vibe, food, and drinks. Our server was fantastic, too. Only complaint was the hostess. Super rude and pained to do the basics of her job. But that one employee wouldn't stop me from coming back.
Wonderful wait staff, sushi was decent, creme brûlée was amazing!
Dinner before show at the Fox.
It was good and atmosphere was great!
Great place - maybe the best place - to eat before a show at State Farm or Tabernacle. The menu has variety, but not crazy. Service and drinks good. Cool decor and atmosphere. Location can't be beat.
The appetizers were pretty good, but the food came out cold. I ordered the braised short rib. The dish wasn't attractive at all, it looked like kraft shells and cheese with two lumps of meat on top(which were very tough). My boyfriend ordered the shrimp and grits..also cold and there is corn in the dish that just doesn't work. In my opinion the main menu needs better recipes. The restrooms also needed attention.
Was my first time there. Cool swank place - had dinner before a show just 2 blocks from State Farm Arena and Centennial Park. Had to wait about 15 minutes past our 6:15 Saturday nite reservation as it was busy before the show, but the service and food were fantastic.
Great ambiance. Great bar beverage choices and varied menu. Food was good. Our server Dustin did a great job!, he was courteous, attentive, and professional. I will definitely return to Thrive.
Pre concert dinner
Food over salted, service EXTREMELY slow. Sushi was good. Never brought my mayo
Great restaurant. Lots of good food choices. Place was a little on the noisy side and the tables are packed together a little too snuggly. Overall a great place to eat.
Thrive is our go-to restaurant when we are downtown. Highly recommend it.
Great place! The crab cucumber salad was so good as well as the sushi 🍣
very slow service, not much of a menu. Server came out to let us know they were out of some type of bread and then replacement item came out wrong.
This dinner was for our 2-year Anniversary. I made note of that when I made the reservation and we were disappointed. In addition to that, we’re from another state and had a ton of other choices to celebrate. The food was below average, the restaurant was under staffed so the service was terrible, and they offered nothing or did not even mentioned our anniversary.
We had made reservations, but the restaurant wasn't crowded at 6:15 on a Friday night, and when we arrived early, we were were seated right away. Our server was warm, friendly and attentive, as well as efficient. When two of our guests arrived late, their orders were taken immediately, and when there was a mix-up involving the plates we'd been given, our server noticed, apologized, and quickly came back with the "sharing" plates we needed. We ordered and shared a variety of appetizers and sushi. Some of the appetizers were delightfully inventive and all of them were delicious, as was the sushi. By the time we asked for our check, even though the room had become much busier, the speed of our checkout left us with plenty of time to get to an 8:00 performance down the street. Excellent meal, excellent service.
Arrived on time for reservation. Was told it would be at least a 30 minute wait. Bathrooms were FILTHY and food was served cold. Very cool ambiance though and very nice bartender.
We had a table reservation but chose to sit in the bar so we could watch the baseball playoffs. The party before us just left and the table was cleared promptly. It was wiped down so we did it on our own with cocktail napkins which I got from the bar. Party of four we ordered when our drinks came, half hour later after asking repeatedly our food came. Prior to it coming I decided to order a couple more dishes. The thought was we would order sushi and appetizers and then order a couple more plates later. The server brought 3 plates, (4 in the party) and never came back with a 4th, at all. He went straight back tot he bar. I got up and walked to the kitchen waiting for someone to come out and asked for the fourth plate, and saucers for our soy sauce. Never got serving utensils or dinner napkins. Meanwhile the host came by and asked if we wanted another round of drinks. We placed the order with him and waited.... I asked our server about them and he stated the host never told him. The server brought 3 drinks and said the 4th was being made. After waiting I told the bartender we were still waiting for our 4th drink. She was clueless asked what it was, I was so disgusted I just sat back down at our table. Moments later she came to our table and slammed it down and stormed off. We were truly afraid that the drink was compromised and chose not to drink it. We were done, asked for the bill, which of course had numerous items that we never got. Asked them to be removed, left no tip and went on our way. I wanted to talk to a manager or the host but no one was to be found. Very disappointed, the reviews were mediocre but it was close to our hotel. WOULD NOT Recommend.
I’m so sorry that I can’t remember our server’s name because she made our dining experience a pleasure. She’s young, infectious smile, short curly hair (blonde highlights). She guided us through the menu, described the dishes and answered our questions. Prompt service and always with that smile. She seemed genuinely to care about her job and her customers.
As for the food, it was delicious. A varied menu—we were picking out dishes to try on our next visit. Such an enjoyable experience!
Excellent food and atmosphere. Service is willing but very disorganized; they need a coordinations supervisor.
