Just felt like reservations weren't organized well, had a mix up up but was fixed quick
Drinks were good, defiantly paying more for the decorations then anything else. Not sure if the server had a very needy table but our service was very bad.
We were celebrating my husbands 65 birthday and it was mentioned prior / nothing was done nor even acknowledged.
One drawback to this entire experience at three dots was the music REALLY sucked and of poor choice / nature!
With such a fantastic aura and beautifully tropical decorated the music was not pertinent to the great appearance
That really put a damper on the drinking experience
It actually was disturbing although the
Service was good
Platter was good
I really really looked forward to this visit for my Valentine's Day at three dots but was disappointed with the loud jazz
I no longer can fly to Hawaii and thought this would do it for me
Well , it was nice but still missing something!
Great Hawaiian Tahitian or tropical sounds and there is a lot of those sounds out there !
Jordan’s service was EXCELLENT! This aspect was definitely half of why we loved the experience so much. She was genuine and helpful with the menu.
The drinks were delicious! The Bali Bali bowl was good and looked cool. Now that we’ve already had that, the next time I’ll just get 2 drinks because they have so many good ones. The Painkiller was my favorite, but I would also recommend the Jet Pilot and Tropical Itch.
Can’t wait to make our way back to Chicago. Three Dots will definitely be one of our stops.
Three Dots and a Dash is as much entertainment as it is a bar. The drinks come in crazy mugs, belching steam from dry ice, glowing in wild colors. They are trying very hard to make a festive atmosphere and a special experience, and mostly succeed. Great music, fun people watching, small bites to eat. The only problem with the joint is that it is massively overpriced by a factor of about two. I would recommend going on someone else's tab if possible, or not look at the bill when it comes, for it will ruin your evening.
Service was poor. The server said she’d be right back to get our drink order but didn’t return for nearly 15 minutes. We would’ve ordered another round towards the end but she was non-existent so we asked for the check when she finally come back.
Awesome date night spot.
Really fun and cool spot in River North. We were celebrating a friend’s Bon Voyage for a new job and had ppl coming and going all night. The staff was super accommodating and friendly.
The food was some of the better bar food I’ve had. The drinks were the highlight of the visit. They have a lot of custom takes on standard drinks served in interesting glasses which made it a ton of fun. Not a place to drink if you are trying to reduce calories though. 😊
It’s a great place for fun drinks and apps. The menu doesn’t lend itself to a full dinner restaurant.
Three dots and a Dash is a fun, atmospheric Tiki bar offering terrific cocktails and some tasty appetizer dishes. The crab rangoon was particularly good. There are drinks for two, drinks that smoke and according to the menu, even a flaming drink. They offer a substantial list of both traditional and original tropical cocktails. The drinks are on the expensive side but excellent. Try the "Chief Lapu Lapu". Highly recommended.
One note: the entry to the bar is an alley and is not visible from Clark St., which can be confusing for a first-time visitor.
It was a fun time! Thank you for making my birthday extra special Three Dots and Dash! :)
Unfortunately, Three Dots and a Dash would not accept my REAL ID to get inside, so we dined elsewhere. Unbelievable
We decided to try this place out and took our friend. We had a blash. ThePuPu Platter was to die for and my drink was delicious. Aloha Felicia #2 is a winner. My guy companions had the rum and an old fashioned which they seemed very happy with. We'll definitely will be back !
Three Dots used to be a great, immersive tiki bar. Yes, as the night wore on, it would inevitably become more "clubby" given it's location. However, they now seem to have completely given up on providing an immersive tiki experience and are just going for a bro-club. The music, at 6pm, was horrible. Heavy bass, hip hop, etc. Not exotica or even 1960s lounge ... Please TDD - fix your music!!
