The handcrafted cocktails were amazing. I definitely recommend Three Dots and a Dash to my friends!
I love three dots and a dash. Be sure to try the Thai chicken and crab rangoon
Been looking forward to going here but the noise level was ridiculous. Could not hardly hear our friends. There’s loud and there was this. We asked them to turn it down or move us (we were in front of a speaker) and they said they’d turn it down but there clearly didn’t. Drinks were great but the noise level means I’ll likely not return. Pops a couple blocks away is way more fun.
The atmosphere in this space is awesome! The 1950's Tiki Bar vibe is spot on from the music, to the waitstaff outfits, to the vintage cocktail glasses. Very fun and well-thought-out space!
Wonderful modern tiki “speakeasy”! Combine the originality of the drinks and bites with the exceptional hospitality of the Lettuce Entertainment group and you have a winning combination!
One of my favorite Tiki bars in US - music and drinks are amazing.
It’s a fun place to grab drinks with friends. We did not eat here. But it look good for appetizers.
Cool decor. Great drinks. We didn't try the food but the drinks were exactly what we were hoping for in a premier tiki bar, well balanced, well made, great presentation.
Really awesome atmosphere! Entrance is in an alleyway, so keep your eyes open to find your way. Drinks are pricey but you're paying for the unique environment. Good cocktails.
Super fun place! I went for a girls night but would go back for a date night with my husband! Great atmosphere.
Chicago is lucky, tiki-wise. It has several options. You won’t go wrong with Lost Lake, but for my money, I think Three Dots and a Dash comes out a little bit ahead. It has both original and classic drinks, made in the craft cocktail fashion. The décor is nouveau tiki that is modern, but firmly rooted in the Polynesian Pop tradition. Unique touches like the skull wall (and the corresponding mug) really stand out. The food is serviceable bar bites with an Asian slant that ably soak up the rum pooling in your stomach. My only mark against it (and it’s small) is the music. They went with modern electic lounge: not bad, but exotica would have been a real winner. Overall, a great experience: east of the Rocky Mountains, it’s second only to Trader Vic’s Atlanta and Ft. Lauderdale’s Mai Kai for overall tiki experience. And in the same region, for tiki drinks, it’s second to none.
Have been there several times. They have changed the drink menu and we found the drinks have suffered as a result. I will admit in the past there was a ridiculous amount of fruit, & garnishes (which were probably not cheap) but were tasty and fun. It also seemed that the amount of alcohol was lacking. I had 4 of their more popular drinks and barley felt a buzz. One of our friends split the $85 bowel drink and also, did not even have a slight alcohol buzz. Probably will not go back.
I have been hear numerous times, but this time I was extremely disappointed. Our waitress never checked on us, but checked on all of her tables near us. She wasn’t very friendly. We were out celebrating my birthday and it wasn’t a good experience!
This hard-to-find but glad you searched for it Tiki Bar is fun. Original and extensive selection of rum drinks makes it tough to watch your alcohol consumption as you want to experiment with everything. Waitress was fun and engaging. Decor vey fitting. A true gem for the locals
Fun atmosphere, creative drinks, attentive service. App menu allows for a bite with drinks.
My hubby and I were in Chicago for a few days and stopped by twice. We are true tikifiles, the drinks are awesome, the decor is on point, the staff goes above and beyond. Unlike most tiki bars it is spacious, plenty of room between the tables, and even at capacity you have room to enjoy yourself. Reservations are highly recommended, plan to spend some time there.
Loved the adventure of finding the bar. Such a nice change of decoration than most bars. Drinks were strong but really tasty. The flaming smoky scorpion bowls were so fun to see arrive at the table. Not really a place to meet people based on the layout but if you have a few pals this is a good spot to sip and laugh!
Loved this place! The servers are friendly and helpful. The manager, Kurt was super nice! Don’t miss out on this place. Best Tiki Bar we’ve been to!
Nice, cave-like atmosphere with mild decoration. Music changed abruptly from tiki/polynesian-esque to club nonsense right about 10pm, getting much louder. Killed the atmosphere IMO.
The drinks are amazing. The music is nice. Wait staff was courteous and friendly
This place is awesome - great drinks, great food, great decor!
If you like real tiki culture, this isn’t the bar for you. If you like top 40/nightclub music and novelty cocktails, you’re going to have a great time here.
Way over priced and the drinks are so weak claimed to be strong
Celebrating my wife’s birthday!! Was so much fun ! The special drinks the staff Asiye took great care and was running around like crazy assisting all my guests and made the night very special!!
I recommend making a reservation - we made one for a group of 5 and got a great booth. Cocktails were fun and strong - worth the money for sure. Definitely recommend if you want to have an experience with your drinks! There was one grumpy staff member who was constantly urging people to keep the walkway clear when the standing room by the bar had gotten crowded which was a little off-putting to listen to for most of the night. Our waitress was super nice and attentive.
Amazing place ! Went there for my birthday great food! Great service! great drinks! ❤️❤️🙌🏽🙌🏽
Great drinks. Bland food. Great service. Music was too loud for me.
Love this place. Cocktails are delicious and, more importantly, really strong.
I have visited Three Dots and a Dash more times than I can count and have yet to be disappointed. The drinks are delicious, the staff is great and I love the overall atmosphere. I recommend Three Dots and a Dash to anyone looking for a unique bar experience.
Great ambiance, food was pretty good but the drinks are overpriced and filled to the brim with ice in large glasses to make you feel like you are getting more than you are. It’s a fun place if you have never been there but be prepared to drop some coin.
Wow the drinks were phenomenal BUT the SERVICE was OUTSTANDING.
Such an upbeat, unique experience! Cocktails were amazing, menu was limited but great bar food!
Great atmosphere and energy!
Super cool vibe! Awesome drinks but limited food menu.
Our waitress was extremely snooty and gave us attitude throughout our meal. She was rude and ruined the experience for me on my birthday.
Such a fun and exciting atmosphere. Great music also
good place for hanging out with friends. it’s a little noisy because the place is so crowded. Definitely recommend the drinks!
Fabulous drinks, awesome "secret" entrance, super ambiance. Food was, of course, awful, but EXACTLY what I expected !
Amazing place to take a date, or with friends BUT go somewhere else for great food (Topolobampo is steps away).
