Thomas Henkelmann restaurant is a true gem. We have a 5 star experience every time. The service is warm snd inviting from the moment the valet takes your car. Guests are ushered in from the coat check and front desk and a very attentive staff. The atmosphere is warm, well appointed and sophisticated, yet cozy. The menu is dynamic and a journey for the palette, a beautifully curated selection of meats and seafood from starters through entrees and desserts. Executive Chef Thomas has a delicate and precise hand, his courses are cooked to perfection with gorgeous sauces and elegant plating. Plates are warm as needed and sauces served in beautiful miniature copper handled pots, the silver is polished and the linens are a warm happy creamy backdrop for a beautiful table setting. The send off is as warm as the welcome and we literally look forward to coming back as we drive away. A perfect cozy spot for regular and special occasion dining, everything is just right!

Brilliant as usual!

We went here for the first time on 2/12 for their Valentine's pre fixe menu. The food was delicious and the quality and service were outstanding. When it comes to pre-fixe menus sometimes it is hit or miss but this was definitely a hit which I think speaks to the overall quality of the restaurant in general.

my only criticism was with the wine. my wife and i order a glass of wine (Bordeaux and pinot noir) each and i commend you on serving it from the bottle at our table. however the temperature of the wine was warm, a rather common mistake but one i did not expect from the homestead.

Went here for my wife's 40th birthday as indoor dining is still closed in NYC and we wanted to go to an authentic french restaurant and this was open for indoor dining in CT and highly rated. I rarely ever write a review but writing this to stay that the reviews are well deserved. The service was impeccable, the food was delicious, the staff made sure that our dining experience was excellent with someone attending us throughout our time there. Every single food item we ordered was delicious and the desserts were excellent too. I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to have an authentic upscale French dining experience and perfect place for any special occasion. Thanks for making my wife's 40th birthday so memorable !

Once again, was blown away by the experience. From the first pre-dinner cocktail at the extremely charming bar to the superb and meticulously prepared food (I had the smoked salmon appetizer, the lobster triangles as a mid-course, baby lamb chops, and finished with a soufflé) to the outrageously great (and unbelievably fairly priced) French wines, it was an experience to never forget. Don’t go there unless you like great traditional French, delicious expensive food, surrounded by rich people that drop money like they live in a chateau.

It’s all great...but the trio of foie gras and lobster are the best 2 course lineup, and get the cheese plate at the end to share.

A special place, in the summer make sure you spend time having a drink on the porch.

Far and away the most intimate atmosphere, highest quality of menu- old world. CLass and sophistication.. In a Class of its own!

We had and amazing experience in this restaurant, everything was really good.

We enjoy the Homestead, and we visit a few times a year.

The place,service, hotel , food, it’s outstanding. We we to celebrate our anniversary, and stay at the inn for two nights, I will definitely recommend to stay, but if not, it worth just go for lunch or dinner. Really good food, impressive wine list, and excellent service. Environment beautiful, details all around. At lunch we had a beautiful table near the window, looking at the garden, at night we had a table in front of a fireplace, the most amazing. We ate trio of foie grass, faisán, salmon, sea bass, very good salad, and fettuccine pasta excellent, it’s home made, bread is delicious and butter. Perfect cook, and taste, we never ask for salt. Oysters really good too. We meet the chef, and this is a good sign, he is always there. Our room was perfect, and in those time they have excellent service and amenities. All the people very nice and gentle. We just already make a reservation for New Year’s Eve. Congratulations.

Wonderful food and excellent service

The food is always as expected - delicious. The service and ambience sets Thomas Henkelmann above area restaurants.

We need a great reason to eat out during these times and The Homestead more than justifies our efforts. It is set in bucolic Greenwich CT and looks like an inn from the MGM studios. The service is world class as is the food and ambiance. Yes its pricey but its worth it. Finally a place that encourages people to dress nicely.

The Homestead Inn was a great experience. From Astley in the bar area, to the server and wait staff, everything was an extra special experience. All safety protocols were followed, we felt very comfortable. Dinner was outstanding. We really enjoyed a very memorable evening and will return to celebrate special occasions.
