I was at the Thistle Lodge 30 years ago. It was as good as I remembered.
Consistently good food. Grouper excellent!
A little too much AC in the restaurant, but that seems to be the case these days in too many restaurants.
Lovely restaurant, beautiful view, early dining as had theatre tickets so quiet as well. Excellent food; nice wine selection.
We have been to this restaurant a few times over the last few years with very good experiences. So we decided to spend our Valentines evening there. What a HUGE mistake!!! The service was non existent. It took over 10 mins after being seated for someone (the manager?) to ask what we wanted to drink. When I complained about the lack of service he gave brought us our first round. Very nice gesture but the service continue to be bad the entire night. If I remember correctly our server only showed up 3 times; to take the order, bring the wine and then the bill. I had to pour the wine during our meal. There was a set menu which is expected during a holiday but the food was cold and dried out. We both had fish and could not eat it. When I got the bill they automatically placed the gratuity on which for a party of 2 is just wrong. At that point I just wanted to leave since the evening was ruined. I might go back on non holiday since the place has such a nice atmosphere but won't be this season.
It was Valentine’s Day- and they ruined it!!! Lousy experience!!! They just lost a customer!!!
Lobster was over cooked. Way to expensive for what we had. Too much noise tables too close together for privacy.
The Thistle Lodge is pretty and the food is good however we arrived 15 minutes early for our reservation and we were greeted rudely by several staff. The bar was not open to get a drink while we waited and the staff was indifferent. The receptionist and staff should be better trained in customer relations.
We were away on vacation. We wanted a quiet charming restaurant away from hustle bustle. We found it ten times over. We loved everything
Justin was fabulous. Exceptional service and very professional. We will be back soon! The reason for the lower marks on food was because of the Sunday brunch all the meats were overcooked and dry.
This restaurant is excellent in both atmosphere and food. We ha e eaten there several times and have never been disappointed. Expensive but worth it!
Great short rib dish... good service and ambiance-old Florida feeling
Wonderful service and view. It would have been great if we were seated at a window.
Food ( tuna , magi mahi-mahi GREAT!)
Great quality and amazingly spiced fish and seafood, really the finest we have had in a while! Plus warm, excellent servicy by Tanya, the Jamaican waitress. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Overall excellent. Beautiful setting. 😄
Mussels were average at best and the lobster bisque cold. Other than that we had a very enjoyable evening with friends and their lentil soup and veggie cannelloni were excellent .
The atmosphere was relaxing & charming.
There was a nice variety of food on the menu.
It was a bit pricy, so I think it is a special occasion restaurant.
Good food and great service. Nice location and atmosphere.
Restaurant was busy, wait staff overstretched, service very slow. Dinners are very expensive and just ok. Beautiful view before sunset, but otherwise tables are kind of crowded. It was stifling hot in the room. Would not go back.
Rosie was a wonderful waitress. The food was good and the service super. We stayed and talked for quite a while after finishing our lunch and there was no complaints about that. Everyone was friendly. The best view of the gulf!
Second time here. A memorable dining experience. Beautiful setting. Delicious food. My husband had the tuna. I had the cannelloni. Both very good and generous portions. The key lime pie is the best on the island.
