Thirsty Lion Pub & Grill – Washington Square Ratings and Reviews
The waitress was very overtly friendly and kind of cross the bonds line of customer and employee professional relationship to more personal relationship but she was new but wanted to talk to me than let me eat but not a good sign when the waitress sits down with opposed to being a server!!
Long Waite for food. Very noisy.
We waited 45 minutes for our food. There was a large party that took our waitress away. I feel the tip for the large group, was on her mind.
We were there an hour and a half for dinner.
my husband'a sandwich tasted like my salmon cakes because they cooked them on the same grill. We will never go back.
Our friends and us go to your pub pretty frequently. Every now and then the service slips. This time the food service was great but the drinks weren’t as prompt. You’re kind of our go to place so we have a basis for comparison. We like the Thirsty Lyon and will continue to eat there. It is nice to see the girls dressing in more clothes. They were looking a bit trashy for a while.
Met there for a blind date. Wait wasn't overly long, even though I would recommend making a reservation. We did not feel pressured to order or felt hurried to leave, in fact we were there for 5 hours. Thank you so much for making a nervous situation into a great experience.
Great place on the west side of town for a business lunch and/or group. Food is consistently high quality and the seasonal menu offers options to their standard menu. Usually busy, but service doesn't seem to suffer.
Can be hard to have a conversation because of the high noise level...the flip side is that it has an energetic ambiance.
Well I will have say I was disappointed this visit. All around not great. Got seated fast and got drinks but after that took a long time to get someone to take our order. The waiters was ok did there job but just ok. Food was mostly good but a trouble cob salad.
Crazy (good) on a Friday evening.
Made a reservation (suggested), got seated right away.
Excellent service, picked several dishes from starters/appetizers and left stuffed.
Scotch eggs, green beans, brussels sprouts, bahn mi.
Caught glimpses of USC beating Stanford but nobody seemed to care (it's Duck country).
all in all good but was super busy at 1pm and the noise level wasn't too great for a first meeting/date. I didn't pay the bill so I don't know what the food cost, I 'm sure it was reasonable. Mostly I noticed the exhaust fans in the kitchen can't handle all the fried/greasy smoke and the customers must all leave smelling of fried food. Hair/clothes and all.
it was thick in the air. Yuck. :) sorry
Food was very good. Had my first Moscow mule and it was really good. Waitress was really good and accommodated us very well. We come here to eat every year when we do our Christmas shopping. We are from Florence Or and it’s always a treat to come There for our evening meal after shopping. I always get gift certificates for Christmas for my kids from there. They love it there.
