Problems with two salads but our waiter and the manager were very helpful They gave USA comp desert after fixing the salads.
Happy hour mysteriously 'cancelled' on a busy weekend despite signs everywhere advertising it. C- food. Server was nice and attentive. Would never go back.
Delicious corned beef and cabbage for St Patrick’s Day! Please consider adding this to your permanent menu!
Wonderful service and friendly staff in general
Great food. Extremely attentive polite friendly server.
Our server Hunter was excellent, he was attentive and we enjoyed having him. Great beer and the cauliflower was spectacular, a must when you go there.
Average ... average .. average. Nothing stood out. Was just in a convenient location at the time.
Service was great. Good drink selection, food was mediocre
Have never been disappointed at this location and wasn't this time either.
Cool bar.. Eclectic menu with lots of options.. Variety of beers and drinks. Food was very good. Service was attentive. Definitely will go again
Place was packed but we were seated right awau with our reservation....however probably took server at least 20 minutes to take our order...he was appropriately apologetic...the rest of his service was pristine...pleasantly surprised with their willingness to make a few substitutions...the cobb salad with salmon instead of chicken was divine and perfectly portioned!
Always dependable and a good choice for before and after a movie. Good food and good service.
Good food. Excellent service. Yes it is a noisy place
I was lucky to think ahead and make a reservation because the place was super busy. It was a great location for a casual get together. Some what noisy since it was a Saturday evening but we did fine with our conversation. Our server was Casey and she was AMAZING!! We had Cuban sandwiches which were so good and another in our group had the bacon wrapped steak - spot on perfect! We look forward to coming back again.
Service was off this night. I had a much better experience last visit when I ate at the bar.
Always good food at the Thirsty Lion Pub! Farm to table, fresh, and tasty! Love to eat here-my go to restaurant.
We enjoyed the selection on the menu.
Always been a fan of Thirsty Lion and this time was no different. The menu selection is always great and the variety of wine and beer always makes it a nice stop. This time, the server was superb. Will always visit a Thirsty Lion when looking for variety, TV's and great service.
Got sat next to the front bar area and it was close to club like loud in there, which is fine but this was just a dinner for me the wife and a kid. Made it tough to have normal dinner conversation. Also, we waited for quite awhile...somewhere around 10 minutes before our waitress arrived. After that though everything was great.
Others commented thier food was so-so. I got the fish and chips and the fish was obviously manaufactured (Sysco) and was bone dry. No flavor. Service was spotty.
The service is Grade A - Super waiter. We had a wonderful waiter, and the person who seated us was excellent. The problems are the seating and the noise - and, I'm sorry to say, my beef sandwich was so dry, even extra dressing didn't help. Most of the tables are high-rise, and there are only two booths. The music made it impossible to have a decent conversation, and when the room became more crowded, the noise was the loudest of any restaurant in Scottsdale (at least during lunchtime!). Between people shouting into their cell phones, and other shouting to be heard across their tables - it made for a very unpleasant dining experience.
Better choices in the neighborhood. Yard House is a superior choice
Great service, waiter was awesome and food/drinks delicious. I would recommend to my family and friends for a fun night out after the movies:)
Thank you for an awesome evening.
It was overall solid
Friendly staff, good food, convenient location, will go again.
We were all pleased with the food and felt it was a very good choice
Fun spot for casual dining. A little loud.
Great restaurant with great food and great service.
The food was excellent! Try the chicken curry soup, it will not disappoint.
What a disappointment. Having made a reservation through Open table we were still asked to sit at high tops in the bar. Our server was short, cold and totally unengaged. It took FOREVER to order, and again and ETERNITY to receive food. The server was the type who seemed to intentionally avoid eye contact as to all 20 minutes to pass before revisiting the table for any reason. The order was incorrect. The manger immediately apologized and offered to re-make the food but given the length of time required for the first order we would have one person eating alone 30 minutes after everyone else had finished. He did discount the price of the food.
The food quality of food was average at best. This is basic average bar food, no different than any sports bar on any corner in America. The "Scotch Eggs" which seemed to be one of few unique items were absolutely tasteless. There is simply nothing positive to say about this restaurant.
Worst fries I've ever had.
Great time and good as usual!
We enjoyed the atmosphere and had a nice friendly server. It was mistake after mistake with getting g others accurate. We were delivered 5 waters for 6 people. My wife asked 2 times for a water before we finally got it delivered. My mom ordered arugula salad with chicken. I remembered my moms order specifically because she asked if she could get chicken on top. She was given the salmon dish that was not a salad and there was some disagreement by waiter before he finally remembers what she ordered. She ate anyways rather than waiting. The waiter then offered dessert. I assumed comped as comp for screwed up order. Wrong! We were charged. And they even delivered the brownie when we ordered bread pudding ant the urging of waiter. Nice place but accuracy problems. Should have comped desert at least.
Great food and happy hour values. I'd never been there on a weekend evening before--it was super noisy, which really bothers me. We got to sit outside, so the noise was not an issue. Also, great local beer selection.
I ordered the chicken fingers from the reverse happy hour menu and they came burned. They were made correctly the second time. The crab cake was good.
Went to watch some games and eat. Everything was great
Family reunion for Thanksgiving Weekend. 7 adults, 3 toddlers. They were very accommodating, and switched us from a high top table reservation to a great location outside where the kids were not intrusive to other diners. The weather was gorgeous and we had a delightful meal and a wonderful time all round.
As always, we enjoyed the meal and service!
The food here is crap...seriously. We have given it a few chances because it's never busy and so convenient...but the server dissapeared both times we were there...its expensive for the crap you get...I will never come back. Get your act together!
first thing when you walk in, the hosts have their back towards you. now that may also be because the layout of the entrance which to me makes no sense. we had reservations. and still, three couples who showed up at least 15 minutes after us were still seated before us. and the host also forgot about us since we were seated about 15 minutes after our reservation, and there were no additional people waiting after that.
Good dinner with good friends. Not amazing, but solidly good. Salads, burger, fish and chips all tasty.
