We loved our server! She was very attentive. The patio is so nice and has a lot of umbrellas, shade for anyone that wants it. The food is always delicious.
Excellent service, very organized, great food. Excellent customer services and very patient. Will definitely eat there again.
And easy online booking.
We like going there it’s a great place with good service and good food. Also it has a good selection of beer. I absolutely would recommend it and it has really nice outside seating.
Very odd menu for a gastropub, but the food was quite good.
Had heard good things, but less than impressed primarily because of poor service. Waited forever on everything. Went to watch sports while eating and told the hostess we'd like to be able to see a screen. They have dozens, yet they say us where only one side of the table could see any screen at all. Not impressed and won't go back. Sorry.
The Thirsty Lion was in my Denver PassBook which has given me opportunity to try new places. First time I'd been there.
Very Noisy sports bar atmosphere. Food is almost too good for that.
Service was slow and hard to hear with a big family group.
I used Thirsty Lion as a place to meet for one of my team members to catch up and have some dinner. It turned out to be a great place to meet. Had a great table out on their patio and was quite enough for us to do some business and catch up. After our work piece was done we had a great meal with the Colorado Tasters beer special and enjoyed the weather and people watching. Great experience.
A group of us went to Thirsty at the last minute, and it was great. Good food - every dish was good, across a variety of cuisines. Service also good, and prices reasonable.
I’m young and found it to be WAY way too loud! It’s not an enjoyable experience when your own server can’t even here you make your order.
The low rating is because after an hour of waiting for our food, we cancelled the order and paid for the items received. We got no proactive updates on any issues about our simple order ... except when WE asked several times. They did offer to box the food as it came out when we were paying the bill. I still don’t know what went wrong... we were very frustrated! The only reason I “recommend to friends” is because I have been there before and everything went well. We will try again in the future. Hopefully, it was just one bad day.
Went there for a lunch celebration with work colleagues - great food and service, and a good value as well.
We went for Happy Hour after a Rockies game. We were very pleased with the variety offered on the Happy Hour menu. And everything that we ordered was very good. The service was friendly and prompt. It was an enjoyable experience, and we will definitely go back for Happy Hour and/or dinner.
Excellent food, service and fantastic ambiance watching people around Union Station and before the Rockies baseball game.
Our server Jennifer was very attentive and helpful. The pub was packed so the noise level was loud. Our food arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The bar service was a bit slower. Overall a great place. I recommend booking in advance. We had a great time and would go back.
Always very consistent. Good service and great variety.
The food is awesome and it’s a fun place to go before a baseball game. The location is stellar and a fun atmosphere.
So we love thirsty lion. I made reservations - which were confirmed. Unfortunately, when we arrived we found a note on the door saying that they had closed the restaurant! Not sure why I got a confirmation the morning that we were going to brunch, if the restaurant was permanently closed.
Tell the manager that a playoff game 7 warrants having the sound to the game on!!
We hit the place during happy hour, so the food was a little slower and the place was probably a little louder than normal. But, even with that, I’m a new fan of the Lion.
Our go-to did not disappoint. Although the restaurant was very busy for Easter and pre-Rockies game, our server was friendly, knowledgeable, and not rushed.
Over all it was very pretty to look at, not noisy at all. Service was good. Food wise, we did brunch, it was okay, not enough food to fill you up. Had to go elsewhere since we were still hungry. The mimosas were not good AT ALL. It was like watered down /// the raspberry pure was more just tiny pieces of raspberry mashed up.. not purred at all. I’d try to go again for another meal but not for brunch.
How such a big place has consistently great wait staff and food is astounding, but they continue to deliver. Great patio, great vibe. Best place to watch sports. The food is diverse and always good. Probably the best fish and chips in town and I had chilean sea bass which was out of this world. Super fun place and convenient right next to Union Station. This is our go-to place when we don't want to wait or have a bunch of guests with varying tastes.
This is an excellent place to dine before a ball game or just because you happen to be down town. Lots of choices and prices are very reasonable!
Great place to eat, drink and watch a game or two. Nuff said
Sat outside on the patio on a nice evening. Server not super friendly and was a little slow. Entrees came out as we were barely into appetizers.
Joined a great establishment with a large contingent of AVS fans two hours before the first home game of the series with Calgary (which we closed out on Friday with a win against Calgary) and the party started with good food, good company, good libations, and like minded fans. Always love the pulled pork sandwich and my husband tried the buffalo burger; both plates cleaned. Topped off with white chocolate strawberry cheesecake, scrumptious. Washed it all down with the right wine for the occasion. We will be back next round.
Wonderful evening with great friends!
We met for lunch to celebrate a colleagues’ birthday. The food was great and there were options for everyone. It was hard to have a conversation, though, the music was incredibly loud and we had to shout at each other.
If they are in the area. Downtown is pretty busy so we don’t get down there often.
Great variety of food. Try the California rolls. They are awesome!
The food was delicious! It was a bit loud but otherwise comfortable.
The food and presentation was awesome! Great desserts! Made reservations online and got seated right away. 4 stars only because it was a bit too loud to have conversation.
Great service, nice menu
Music was too loud
The happy hour drinks and appetizers were good and reasonably priced.
Good food, decent service .. drinks were great.. so were the bacon wrapped dates. We were looking for a place to watch the game - I would go again for sure. Our server seemed a little grumpy but maybe he was having a bad day...
Never had a bad meal here. Brunch is really really good. All staff is great too.
Really great food and a good amount for the higher price point. Really liked the Thai shrimp and noodle salad and the fried rice. Our waitress seemed a little slower than some of the other tables but over all I would definitely recommend and would go back. Try the blood orange cosmo.
A fun place right by Union Station with great food and drink selections
Love that you guys have the impossible burger. Lots of choices for food and drink.
