The term gastropub, a portmanteau of gastronomy and pub, originated in England in the late 20th century. English pubs were drinking establishments and had little emphasis placed on the serving of food. Then that all changed. theMINT is an AMERICAN Gastropub that focuses on premium food and beer as well as premium spirits, cocktails, and martinis.

My food was really good. I ordered a vegan burger to go out and it wasn’t great. Thought it was pricey for burger and tots. The t bone dinners were really good. The margaritas were excellent. I loved how the waiter really was Into her job and she was so welcoming. Loved that! Thank you please follow me on instagram @beautybygisell I’ll follow back

We love the Mint. The servers are always friendly and helpful and the ever-changing menu keeps things interesting!! While there are some items we would've liked to have stayed on the menu (because we loved them), there are always similar but new items to replace them!! We do wish they'd serve oysters again!! They had the best ones a few summers ago!!

Had the Duck Confit pasta and it was to die for! The menu is very original and has something for everyone with creative twists. Can’t wait to go back to try something new!

Hostess, Rachel, was very nice and accommodating. Waitress, Emily, was friendly and attentive. Good food. Interesting setting in old bank. We sat in "The Vault" where it was less noisy.

Our server was very friendly, and accommodating. The menu option where very limited due to them going through a menu change.
We received our appitizer and it was very very good. Fried cheese sticks but fancy.
Our entrees however where poorly displayed on what looked like prison trays.
My girlfriend ordered gluten free chicken which arrived on a steel TV dinner try which made it get cold extremely quickly.
I ordered a burger which was slopply pit together and basically fell apart while I tried to eat it. It was also delivered on a splintered wooden tray.
My biggest gripe with the entire meal was that it was entirely way to salty, so much in fact that my girlfriend couldn’t even eat her dinner. We took pictures of all the salt which was clear to the naked eye.
My fries where riddled with salt as well and so was my burger.
They took some of the food off the bill, but it was still an unpleasant experience to say the least.

The food was very good but the restaurant is too much noisy. So, just because it was too noisy, i will not going back to this restaurant even if the food was good.

We had an excellent meal! Everything we had was made from scratch. The Ricotta gnocchi was great as was the burger my husband had and the cheesecake with rum raisin Nutella sauce! We will definitely stop in again. Our waiter (David) was excellent and humorous as well. Our only issue was that it is very open so it is very noisy except for the bar area that is walled off. So if you have issues with hearing people in noisy places, this would be a difficult place to have a private, quiet conversation.

The menu was creative and our meals were very good. There were limited choices because of the coming change in the menu, and most of the beer choices were very dark. The clever use of the bank vault and napkin rings that were money markers were a great way to give credit to the past use of the building as a bank.

It's been about a year since my last visit to The Mint and myself and my boyfriend were highly disappointed. Several things on the seasonal menu were crossed off so and there were even food items on the menu that weren't crossed off but weren't available when we tried to order them. Menu selection was lacking. We were there for a nice dinner with friends from out of town and ended up spending $90 on 4 sandwiches accompanied by french fries or tater tots and an appetizer. Ketchup was the only accompaniment to the tots and fries as there was no ranch dressing or malt vinegar. Our waiter offered a really delicious sounding aoli, but they no longer make that any more either so hearing about it was quite the tease. I would no longer recommend this as a dinner spot.

My team and I ended our teambuilding with dinner at Mint. It was amazing in every sense! Emily, our server, was superb. The food was fun, different, and DELICIOUS.

This place has changed and is now meh. They’ve gotten rid of a lot of beers on the menu that once drew me here. The desserts are tiny. They charge for hot sauce (because they make their own? The logic eludes me) which might be okay if it actually tasted good or if they offered at least another hot sauce that was made elsewhere free of charge. And when I asked for ketchup for my tots, they gave less than a tablespoon.
The server was a bit defensive. Odd. And when asked about the yummy local sourdough, the only information he could give was that it was local. Hahah. Okay, thanks.

Portions are small for the price (a sandwich the size of a kid’s sandwich for $14?) draft beers for $7, what’s with the NYC price? Womp womp
The tots are good. But they are deep fried so I’m not impressed.

A lot of major changes all to save a buck but to the detriment of the customer.
Not returning.
