Always great food and the service tonight was lovely. Always a little noisy but in a good, energetic way. Salmon with risotto was perfect, beet salad is excellent. My husband had the NY strip and it was huge and cooked to perfection.
This place is one of Nashville’s gems. New restaurants come and go and are often not worth a second look. We had salmon and duck which were fantastic! Drinks are excellent and the service is fantastic- smart, knowledgeable, and friendly with great suggestions. And then the special desert of strawberry shortcake with fresh berries and a homemade lemon biscuit. Try it if you have never been and you will be hooked! Can’t wait to go back!
This is a favorite of ours. The food is consistent and delicious. Our recent visit was in celebration of our nine year anniversary. Our waiter was attentive and fantastic - even bought our desserts. So kind!
Thank you to the entire team for a great experience.
Celebrated 2 birthdays! Wonderful food and service!
Great meal. A good wine list, while I was the only one in our party to have a mixed drink, it was as good as I've had anywhere in Nashville.
Our favorite restaurant. You can't beat The Yellow Porch. Food and service are always spot on. Only complaint is the noise. It is not a good place for large parties as that only increases the noise level and makes conversation almost impossible.
Amazing dinner, absolutely delicious unusual combinations. Worth a visit!
Our favorite neighborhood restaurant.
We enjoyed a nice dinner with girlfriends at Yellow Porch. The food and service is consistently good. I think the prices are more reasonable that other new restaurants plus it offers a wide variety.
Just a little hole in the wall off the beaten path with a creative menu served by a seasoned wait staff. Worth a visit!
This was my second visit to this restaurant and it was just as amazing as the first. Todd was a terrific server and took care of all of our needs. I highly recommend this restaurant!
A favorite neighborhood restaurant with great food and moderately priced
Great experience, great service. Will definitely come on back.
The Yellow Porch is always good and one of our favorites!
Enjoyed our dinner at the Yellow Porch. Have not dined at Yellow Porch in a long time. The cheese ball appetizer was yummy, the duck was very good and the short ribs were the perfect comfort food. Too full for dessert.
We enjoyed the Yellow Porch for our Valentine’s dinner. We had the crab cake appetizer. The service was great. It is a small but nice venue. I would say nice for a special occasion because the price is more than I could pay for average dining. My husband had the pork chop and I had the mesquite chicken. It was an overall nice experience.
Really an outstanding, unpretentious restaurant in Nashville, a bit off the beaten path if you aren't from here; but trust your GPS, and the trip to Yellow Porch will be short and interesting - it is truly worth seeking out.
Everyone, from the greeting in the attended parking lot, to the maitre d', the bar staff, and the wait staff, all work happily together to be very sure all the customers' needs are met, professionally and efficiently. My bartender/server, Katie, was outstandingly professional, yet warm. Everyone at nearby tables was so hilariously ebullient about the food that they received, I wouldn't be surprised if they offered a bite. About the nearby tables; I went on one of the most crowded days of the restaurant year, Valentine's Day, and thanks, Yellow Porch, for the space. It's nice to see a relatively small place that does not try to cram as many "four-tops" into their space that they could. It's a sign of confidence and class that there is room to walk between tables, and a refreshing contrast to most other money-is-everything places in Nashville... And the sense of happiness in community was really palpable. Everyone, staff and guests, was happy. Just good karma all around here. I would recommend this place in a rare, unqualified manner. It is really that good. Yellow Porch is an exemplary, classy yet relaxed, impressive place.
I have been to The Yellow Porch several times for dinner. My husband and I went for Valentines Day and got the scallops. Once again, the food and service was on point!
Lovely food! Wonderful service!
After seeing paella on the menu, I was very much looking forward to dinner. I ordered it, but that was a huge let down. Their paella was not good. It was runny and more like gumbo or jambalaya. It was certainly not like any paella I had ever had. I ate the mussels and fish, but couldn't do the rest. It just wasn't that good. Service was ok. The server never bothered to ask how anything was or why I hadn't eaten my meal. The wine was great, and my husbands meal was delicious. He had the stuffed trout.
I've been to the Yellow Porch numerous times. I was excited to have dinner there as I hadn't eaten there in a pretty long time. I just moved back to the Nashville area after having been gone the past 15 years. I hate to say this but it was a VERY disappointing experience. First of all, the restaurant is very small. This makes it quite difficult to get to the restroom. The tables are so close together that you can barely get between them to get to the back of the restaurant where the restroom is located. Additionally, there is only a single restroom for ladies. In my opinion, this is unacceptable! If someone else is in there for a while, it can make for a terrible experience.
Secondly, the quality of the food is not what I had experienced in the past. My husband ordered the strip steak. It was $40. It was tough and there was not much food on the plate for $40. I ordered the filet. It was pretty good, but again it was a skinny portion of food for the price. Our friend ordered the fish 2 ways. She was the most disappointed. Her fish was the equivalent of a few bites. She about fell out. She ended up eating half of her husband's strip steak (he ordered the same thing as my husband) because her food didn't begin to fill her up.
The only bright spot of the night was our waitress. She was phenomenal - very sweet and did a fabulous job taking care of us!
Unfortunately, we definitely won't be back.
Outstanding food and wonderful service! We always return!
I met friends for dinner and we had a delightful time catching up. It was a good atmosphere with a delicious meal. I have been there many times and am never disappointed. Would recommend it to anyone.
The only downside is the parking situation. Other than that - Yellow Porch is awesome!
Service and ambiance was great. Mediterranean lasagna and paella mediocre
Wonderful meal and our chocolate torte was too good to describe . Next time I may have 2 servings of the torte and call it my meal!!!
Lovely dinner place for nicer, quality dining. With drinks, apps, entrees and desserts, we spent $120 (for two) so for the quality it was a good value. The server was very kind but not too attentive. Every flavor was terrific and no one in our party was disappointed with their meal, the temp or flavor. We’d go every weekend if we could afford it.
Yellow Porch is a go-to place for our family. Love the friendly service and daily specials that are always terrific. Great food and wonderful ambience at a fair price. Highly recommended.
Fabulous, absolutely fabulous food. We had great wine and the service was impeccable. Our only complaint was that if you've got a later reservation there's a good chance you'll wait, but there are no available spaces at the bar because I'm told there are a lot of regulars who like to reserve seats there. Also it got very cold in the room around the end of our dinner (9:30 or so). Anyway these are minor points and we will definitely go there again.
I don't normally leave reviews but felt this was important as we had traveled to Tennessee and was told this was a decent place to eat. The waitress was not the friendliest, they did not have a kids menu & the food was way over priced! The waitress didn't try very hard to assist for older kids choices when we asked simple questions. I would not recommend dining with children.
We had just eaten the night before at a restaurant call 5th and Taylor, the food was amazing, the Ambiance was amazing, the service was amazing and even at that they catered to young children & the parking was also great!
I'm sorry to say we were all very disappointed with a $160 tab of less then top quality food and service.
Will not eat here again. Sorry!
The table was ready when we arrived and we have a lovely evening.
Food was amazing!! Service was great! Overall great experience!
The food, service, and atmosphere was great. It's an ideal place for a special occasion, date, or romantic dinner. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
It was food was good. Good service, but the chairs were very uncomfortable!
My wife and I had a wonderful time at the yellow porch. One of the best meals we have had in Nashville.
First visit to The Yellow Porch. Food was very good!
Love that a small neighborhood restaurant could be consistently good over the years. Lunch or dinner, they don’t disappoint. And the wait staff has always been a notch above.
Excellent food and service
Inspired by their Nashville Restaurant Week menu, this was my first time at The Yellow Porch. I have zero complaints. The food was absolutely delicious! I had the Celery and blue cheese soup to start--very different but very good. The herb marinated chicken--amazing!! But best of all was the banana foster white chocolate bread pudding---tasted like Heavenly on earth!! I left very happy and miserably stuffed! The service was great also. I'm glad I made a reservation via open table, because they did fill the tables really fast--it was around 6:00-6:30.
Went during Restaurant Week. Food was, as usual, very good. Service, though filled to capacity, was impeccable. Didn’t feel rushed at all. Just love the Celery Blue Cheese soup and The Bread Pudding for dessert!!
