The Yellow Porch
Outstanding food, great service from Eric. This is my new go to place. LOVE it!
The duck is absolutely amazing! Probably the best I have had anywhere!
Our meal was very good. The Celery Blue Cheese soup was delicious! We sat outside. The vibe was nice, although the sound of the traffic was a little loud. We had great service. Definitely will be back.
We choose the Yellow Porch because it’s noise level is just right for an intimate conversation with friends. Consistently great food and service. The mussels are fabulous!
The service was excellent -- Todd was attentive and responsive. The food, also, was terrific and our preferences and allergies were taken into consideration in our options for side dishes. We were not rushed and were allowed to have a relaxed and comfortable time together. It was, altogether, a lovely meal and dining experience (as we are accustomed to have at the Yellow Porch). Thank you!!
The restaurant was packed which accounted for the high noise level and slow service. Removing a table or two and adding some acoustic control would help a lot. The food was good overall but I had the paella with mussels that tasted old and regular white rice that made it not my favorite.
Great place for dates & get togethers. Food EXCELLENCE. Lady Lazarus and Sunshine are awesome drinks. Parking is easy. Last but not least, barely any wait.
Great food, service adequate for a very busy night. Pimento cheese fritters were to die for!
Fantastic atmosphere, phenomenal food, friendly staff. Absolutely loved it!
Wonderful as always. I plan to become the newest regular! Some change a thing, great excellent food, excellent drink selection, perfect ambiance and Anthony at the door is always so wonderful. Stay in your location forever and keep up the good work!
A Nashville classic with the perfect ambience and outstanding food.
This meal was one of the best I have had at a Nashville restaurant in recent years. The paella was a little spicier than I am accustomed to, but the broth was delicious. Some paellas are mostly rice, but this one benefited from having less. The high point of the meal, however, was the arugula and polenta salad with jalapeno vinaigrette. The peppery herb complemented the taste of the fried corn meal perfectly. The salad was large enough to be a meal in itself.
Yellow Porch never disappoints!
The food was good, as always but the service was a little slow. Our reservation was for 5:30 and I mentioned that we were seeing a show at 7:30. I had to hurry them along regarding our check. We sat outside and it was a lovely night. I asked if we could leave our car in the parking lot (parking is at a premium there) and they said yes, but when we went outside the parking valet said no. He did steer us to where we could park and it's no big deal but they should be on the same page.
Anniversary which was never acknowledged. She basically ignored us. Would ask a question then walk away before we answered always friendly at the end. But the food was fabulous!! We had the Salmon and crab appetizers ( we told her only one). The Pork chop and Halibut were delicious!! One of our new favorites minus the service.
I love this place. However, this time we were given a table directly under a ceiling vent with cold air blowing down for the entire meal. We all agreed that the meal etc. was, as alway, excellent, but couldn't wait to leave and warm-up.
My experience was mediocre, but I’ve heard friends rave about this place, so perhaps it was an off night. I do think it’s unique, especially in Nashville right now when every place is trying to be uber trendy. Yellow Porch is charming without trying too hard.
Amazing food, service and ambiance!
I Had dinner at The Yellow Porch and sat out side. The food and service was very good and I really enjoyed the atmosphere. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The Yellow Porch is one of our favorite restaurants in Nashville. The food and service are always excellent. We love the lamp chops and Paella!
The food is great and they have a very good service. This is an excellent place for a date.
Our server was excellent, very attentive, and provided helpful information regarding food selections. We really like the ambiance of this restaurant inside an older house with a few smaller areas where tables seem more secluded.
Always reliably wonderful. Only have 1 complaint....the bread has changed. Go back to what you did have. It’s much, much better.
We've been going there for years, and it's still one of our favorite places in Nashville!
While I've always like the Yellow Porch, tonight's meal of rack of lamb was subpar. a bit too fatty, and not enough. Everyone else in the party of four had wonderful meals.
The halibut special was one of the top ten meals I’ve ever eaten!! Delicious!!
The Yellow Porch continues to be a consistent winner in food quality and value. We love the paella, and always enjoy the soups. The Poblano Butternut Squash soup was perfect on a cool rainy night. I also appreciate and value that they do not add the liquor tax of 15.25% onto the menu price but include it in the menu price. More restaurants need to do this as there is a trend in Nashville for them to add the liquor tax and the sales tax for a combined 24.5% added to the price on the menu for liquor and wine. Credit to Yellow Porch for not following some who are doing this.
Overall, cute place. The cheddar fritters appetizer was great. I wanted a steak so ordered the new year strip that was the nightly special. My mistake, I didn’t ask the cost but presumed it had to be cheaper than the filet. It was more ($40 vs 35) and definitely not as tender and some fatty areas. Generous in size though. Wish I would have had the filet now in retrospect. Place was full so it must be a local favorite given it is a bit out of downtown/midtown area. I will say that both my husband and I brought leftovers home and ate the others meal the next day. His lamb meatballs with pita triangles was very good. He enjoyed my steak.
First time at The Yellow Porch. It’s off the beaten path of downtown but what a find! Had a 6pm reservation and by 6:30pm, the place was packed. Even with a full house of people, noise levels were very moderate, service was great, good menu, and the food was outstanding! The YP is our go-to place in Nashville.
We really enjoy this restaurant. I have to eat vegan right now and they were so accommodating! The dish they put together was delicious! We sat at the bar and the waitress/bartender did everything to help us and was so pleasant!
It is neighborhood friendly but wonderful food and home- like atmosphere. Always a go to for us.
I would recommend it for drinks. Our server was OUTSTANDING! Katie - I would return to have her service again. That's hard to find in Nashville. Thanks Katie!
Mixed reviews of our first dinner at The Yellow Porch. We chose this restaurant for the fresh farm to table ingredients, appreciate that very much. But the menu items need more flavor. There were four adults in our party. Caesar Saladswere outstanding (with anchovies if you like), fresh, delicious dressing, Parmesan crisps. The filet was also very good. The rack of lamb was a little dull and tasteless. Needed more seasoning and the tiny drizzle of sauce was not nearly enough to enhance the flavor. The vegetables were steamed and tasteless, even though I requested extra butter for my veggies. The stuffed trout was not a hit at our table. The fish was over cooked, the stuffing was dry, and it was just okay. Even the carrot cake was underwhelming. All desserts made in-house, but it didn’t really seem like carrot cake at all.
Service was great. Choices of indoor seating or patio seating. Surprisingly expensive given our experience.
Yellow Porch-what a great find, in a great location, away from all the noise and congestion of downtown Nashville and the Honky Tonk area of Broadway or Music Row. Great food and outstanding service.
Excellent service and interesting menu. Well prepared foods and very good wine list.
Our server was great and the food delicious. The seating seemed a bit dated and in need of repairs/upgrade. It was a bit further than I had realized from downtown. It was good, but there are lots of restaurants closer to the city.
The Yellow Porch is one of our favorite place to eat when we are in Nashville. The food is fantastic and we have always had good service.
I do recommend a reservation. It’s a popular place.
Never had a bad experience. Great food and outstanding service.
The food was delicious! Definitely recommend the crab cake appetizer and the sorghum duck breast entree. The waitress was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend making a reservation in advance to ensure you get a table. The prices are a little more expensive but worth it for the experience and taste. Will absolutely go back the next time we are in Nashville.
