The Yellow Porch
The food was fabulous! Very tasty and a good value. The carrot cake was killer.
Always fantastic! This is my go-to for meals with friends and family.
A group of 4 friends meeting to celebrate a birthday. Todd our server was charming. Our dinners were awesome. They gavr our friend Rodger free dessert for his birthday. ( an extra surprise).
Lovely ending to a cod wintry day.
Always love the Yellow Porch! Impossible to have a bad experience there.
Always delicious food and wonderful servers. We love The Yellow Porch and eat there regularly.
For lunch or dinner, great restaurant!!!
Came with my dad to talk and it was an amazing experience
Was a perfect evening.
We reserved a table for my husband's 36th birthday while we visited Nashville and this place was recommend by a family friend who use to live in the area.
We were not disappointed and everything was absolutely amazing
Staff was so sweet and the service was over the top.
We started off with the mussels, highly recommend these
My husband ordered the lamb with risotto and he ate every bite on his plate
I had the pasta with vodka sauce
For dessert we had the cream brulee which is a must
Everything was amazing and the restaurant was the perfect place for a romantic date.
If your in the area you should definitely go check this place out but make sure you get a reservation.
New Year’s Eve dinner.
The oyster appetizer was sad. They presentation didn’t look high end at all and it wasn’t anything special. The soup was good but the entrees were mediocre at best. The potato gratin was hardly cooked
Food was great service was great, I was in heaven. Excellent date night.
The mussels were delicious as was the duck. My husband's pork chop was superb, tender, juicy succulent. The blueberries with the duck was an inspiration.
Service was excellent. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable and efficient. I enjoyed the food more than my spouse did. A matter of taste in this case. We agreed the cheese fritters were good but adding the pickled relish with a bit of sauce turned this dish into a flavorful little starter. Had our server not recommended adding the pickleked relish to the bite, we would’ve missed out on what made this dish delish. The lamb meatballs were flavorful and savory. A solid selection.
For entrees, this is where I think we were not as impressed as we hoped to be. My filet was cooked to the perfect temperature and the cut was lovely. The flavor was subtle and just missing a little something. It was delicious but I think their filet doesn’t standout from the crowd. My husband had the herb-crusted rack of lamb and this dish was a total miss for him. Again, a matter of taste we think more than an issue of quality.
We both thoroughly enjoyed dessert. It’s a little thing but their coffee made it for me. I would not hesitate to enjoy cups of joe with either the tiramisu or creme brûlée. In fact I’m wishing I had their beans and could grind a brew a pot at home tomorrow morning. Delicious!
Always great-only issue was mistakenly brought salmon instead of chicken, but easily corrected.
I would recommend having vegetable choices versus prepared pairing with entrees.
Great meal and good service.
Quaint restaurant with great food quality. Servers are very knowledgeable about their menu offerings. Would definitely recommend - we plan to go back again soon! My wife and I enjoyed the salmon and the filet mignon very and would not hesitate to recommend either dish. Looking forward to trying other menu items on our next visit.
Our steaks were cooked to perfection. Outstanding service from the wait staff. First visit and cannot wait to revisit.
Always a great place for a night out to celebrate my bride with friends.
We have always loved The Yellow Porch but they were a little "off" the Friday night after Thanksgiving. They removed the price of one of our entrees from our bill. We will return and hope for better luck next time!
We come to the Yellow Porch on a regular basis both for lunch and dinner. We've never been disappointed and our most recent visit was no exception. Thanks for your good work.
We went to celebrate my husband's birthday. Here is what I didn't like: He ordered his $40 steak cooked well done, and it came out medium (he ate as much as he could and never said anything). I ordered my salmon "very well done" yet it was 75% raw (I couldn't eat it and picked around it. I wish I had, but I didn't say anything because I didn't want to make a "celebration" turn negative). The squash/zucchini casserole that came with the salmon was so skimpy that the thin slice of salmon covered it, but that didn't matter because the taste was horrible (tasted like they took cooked the veges and put them in a paste of raw flour and water). The broccolini was WAY overcooked (why overcook this yet undercook the expensive steak/fish?) The EXPENSIVE bottle of wine was no better than the cheapest bottle you can get at any local liquor store. The server wouldn't look my husband in the eyes. She would look me in the eyes, but not him. The server was very nice but we rarely saw her and the time to go from one course to the other was way too long. We spent a lot more time waiting than eating. Was she back in the kitchen? I'm wondering because she would literally disappear - we wouldn't see her anywhere, and the place is very small.
Here is what I did like: The blue cheese celery soup is amazing! The spices in the olive oil (for the bread) were very good! The potato wedges that came with the steak were good. They take reservations. It was easy to get in/out of the restaurant with close parking, and so much better than fighting the traffic and parking downtown.
Bottom line: The food was sub-par yet very expensive. We wasted a lot of money for two bad meals and cheap wine. I don't plan to go back there again.
Really good food and service in a pleasant, comfortable, not-too-loud space. An added bonus is that the Yellow Porch is one of the few establishments in the area with adequate parking!
As usual the food and the service was outstanding. Always one of our go to places in town.
Difficult to find restaurant but food was very good. Service was excellent.
More than a decade and counting - still the best dining in Nashville - food, service, great conversation noise levels, ambiance. Just can't go wrong with The Yellow Porch. Thank you!
The food at Yellow Porch is consistently great. This time it was even more exceptional. What more can I say?
It was a good night with friends in a tried and true NAshville locals restaurant. It is so wonderful to be able to hear the conversation and enjoy a leisurely meal. The appetizer of cheese fritters were delicious, the Jolene cocktail was great and my pork chop was lovely. My husband said his duck was ok.
Overall I think you can’t go wrong at The Yellow Porch.
Amazing place as always! Met a blind date for dinner. Perfect place!
Great restaurant. Todd, our waiter was awesome!
If has been awhile since we had been there and I forgot how good it is. The halibut special was fabulous. The server recommended food and wine and his recommendations were spot on. He took the time to find out what we liked and his suggestions were exactly as he described. We were able to carry on a conversation without having to shout. The cost of the meal was very reasonable compared to some of the new restaurants in town. Great food in a comfortable setting and at a fair price. We will be back soon.
YELLOW PORCH IS A NASHVILLE SECRET. ALWAYS DELICIOUS!!
Usually love Yellow Porch, but service was really off this last time. Asked for an outside table and the hostess asked like it would be the end of the world to put two tables together, and then when I asked for the pecan martini which I’ve had a million times the server told me he’d worked there for years and never heard of that.
Have now visited Yellow Porch multiple times, and they continue to impress on all levels. Service is outstanding, the quality and quantity of the entrees is excellent, and value is great!
Continues to be I and my wife’s go to spot for an excellent dinner.
This is one of my very favorite places in Nashville. Went to enjoy wine and mussles on the patio - it is always a treat!
Consistent neighborhood restaurant
Paella needs a little more fish and shellfish.
Eric was our server and was great. My friend and I started with the paella as our appetizer! We then shared the rack of lamb and split the chocolate dessert. The Grand Tuscan wine was very good, made even better when Eric looked up the varietals in it. Sincerely one of my best meals in ages and I eat out a lot!
Parking is the only hiccup but park next door at the bank after they're closed!
The cutest little place with an adorable patio that is perfect for date night. The food was excellent, as was the service.
Absolutely loved our dining experience here. The food was incredible and the service was second to none. Definitely a new favorite in Nashville.
Delicious food. Service was amazing. I forgot my sweater and the waiter ran across the street to give back! Thanks.
My “go to” for a local restaurant that provides consistently good food and service along with a good wine list.
