The Worthington Inn
Nestled in the heart of historic Old Worthington, the Worthington Inn offers the legacy and charm of a 19th century Victorian inn with a dining experience that is anything but old-fashioned. Chef Mike Water's commitment to sourcing only the freshest ingredients from local farmers results in truly unique and mouth-watering fare you won't find anywhere else in Columbus.
Due to high demand, the patio is seated on a first-come, first-served basis. We will attempt to accommodate your request but cannot guarantee an outdoor table at the time of your arrival.
Food was pretty good, but not amazing. Definitely overpriced for the quality we received.
Server very pleasant. Sometimes difficult to get his attention. Cheeseburger had to be redone..undercooked and then was not especially to liking. I had WI chicken salad which was tasty...would have preferred the nuts mixed in instead of separate. Poppyseed bread and regular bread and garlic butter really good. Birthday dessert very nice.
We had a wonderful dinner to celebrate our anniversary. Our server was nice and attentive. Food was excellent! We're looking forward to another visit in the near future.
Celebrated a 50th anniversary for my brother and sister-in-law with a delicious dinner, attentive service, and wonderful desserts. A time to remember...
Had the Steak frites: steak was very tough and not warm. Fries were also served lukewarm at best.
wanted to order a bottle of wine after our cocktails but didn’t see our waitress for a good long while. Looked like she was too busy with the patio. Other than that everything was lovely and the food exceptional.
The Worthington Inn is that special place to take out of town guests, to celebrate a birthday or anniversary, or just to enjoy a lovely dinner with your spouse or loved one.
My husband was a big fan of our meal. I was more ambivalent. First visit, restaurant week menu. Cocktails and appetizer were very good, bread plentiful. Food was pretty good as was the dessert. Service was very good, exceeded expectations. We sat in the pub, but nice surroundings.
Very friendly staff that tried hard, and made the situation right in the end. We had reservations and were the only people in one of the dining rooms. They seated us under a staircase which was weird. There were much better tables that went unoccupied from 7:00 to 9:30 on a Friday. Craft beer priced at $8/bottle is out of line. They forget to put my wife's order in, and brought the rest of us our dinners. They did comp her main course and added a desert. That was nice. But overall the food and drinks are expensive and the value just isn't very good. Panzanella salad was average, steak frites was average. The Basque Cake desert was the best part of the meal (comped.) They need to step it up to keep pace with other restaurants in Columbus.
Great as always. Fantastic food in a historic setting.
Love the Inn. Food is delicious and service to match. Had the Blackout burger without the bun. The plate was overflowing with great food. The hamburger was cooked perfectly.
Normally my meals at the Inn are terrific...I just chose the wrong meal. Sooo, my bad. Not yours.
Four of us wanted a pleasant place for a bit of a reunion luncheon and, as usual, the Worthington Inn came through for us again. Each of us chose different and quite varied selections from the menu and we all were quite pleased. Our server was extremely pleasant and helpful. All in all, an exceptionally fine experience.
The Food at the Worthington Inn is Always GREAT! I was there a few weeks ago when a friend ordered the Veggie Burger and I just had to return and order it for myself. Well, it did not disappoint. Made In House - this Burger was AMAZING! I had it with House Made FF and they too were Excellent. So Happy that this Local place stays around and that the building is so well maintained.
We celebrated our wedding anniversary and very much enjoyed the service and the food was excellent. The staff was very accommodating and were able to setup a table for us on the patio. They had the nice gesture of bringing dessert and a couple of glasses of champagne on the house. Very satisfied.
It took too long to place our order and get the food. There were four of us and three were served, Fourth had to wait about five minutes for the salad. It was a busy lunch day. Food was very good.
Dinner was excellent. Really enjoy the oysters Rockefeller.
First time we have been here and we were not disappointed. Food and service were excellent. This is not a cheap place to eat however the craftsman put into the food make it worth the money
Our bar service was fantastic, but the waitress forgot things and lacked any personality. The food was very good.
Great dinner date...with my husband. Attentive and personable server, Abby. We were able to secure a table outdoors on a lovely evening. Cocktails very delicious. Started with Oysters Rockefeller that were yummy, followed by a nice chopped salad and filet done to perfection.
Food and ambiance profoundly mediocre. Also not a great food value. Overall unsatisfactory
When you walk in the front door, it’s an ambiguous maze through the restaurant to find the host station. Once seated, from our table, I saw many other guests getting as lost as we did when they entered. Our waitress did not introduce herself, just walked up to table and said “Do you want a drink?” I anticipated a more professional experience with the look and cost structure of the restaurant. We were celebrating our anniversary, and at the end of meal, we were offered a dessert menu. We declined dessert, but then the waitress brought an “on the house” piece of chocolate cake. Confused as to why she brought the menu if their custom is to provide dessert for the special occasion. The food was good, but I was just disappointed in the service level for the fee. Alright for casual dinner with low expectations. Don’t go for special occasion. First world problems...
It was a disappointing experience. We had asked for the porch, and we had made reservations a week in advance and they looked at me like huh? so what? and put us out on a table on the sidewalk, where everyone walking by commented on our meal. The service was slow and he messed up my order and the food was really so so and underwhelming. I would not go back to this place for breakfast. We walked past several other restaurants and it made me wish we had made reservations there. The Inn is a nice looking place but all that glitters is not gold. It has all the trappings but none of the substance.
We love this place. Outstanding Oyster Rockefellers and the twin filets are cooked to perfection. The wait staff is always friendly and helpful. Several years ago we had our daughters wedding reception here and it was perfect; all the guests commented on how great the food was, how attentive the staff was and how much they enjoyed themselves. Just an all around great place.
Anna as our waitress was professional and a great hostess
Ohio style Shrimp n Grits with a Tasso ham sauce was a solid start
Lamb chops followed closely and were cooked 'as they should be'
With a nice Cab
All the above GF with several other GF choices
Very enjoyable quite evening
Great choice for a relaxing birthday dinner. Classic dishes from appetizers to soups/salads and main courses. We had the ahi tuna in won tons and the oysters Rockefeller to start (part of 3).
Main courses included the nightly special (sea bass), gnocchi, and the steak Worthington. All were prepared to perfection.
Service was very good and the birthday boy was surprised with a flourless chocolate cake.
We will return!
Outstanding service, food, presentation and ambiance
Food was great. We were there for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. Service was subpar. Our server didn't check on us very often and we had to ask for silverware after waiting ten minutes for her to come back. Then my silverware didn't have a fork in it. It was definitely an off day for them.
Everything was terrific! Our server was quite attentive and the food quality and presentation excellent.
Food is always excellent and fairly priced. Service is usually good to very good. We've visited maybe a dozen times over several years and although we live in Cleveland, it's always a go to place when we're in the area. At lunch don't miss the filet item--it comes with an excellent Potatoes Anna side and more.
Wonderful relaxed atmosphere. Attentive staff. Our waiter was very attentive, thoughtful and funny. Great night out for my birthday!
The food was good as always but they were out of so many things. Its my parents favorite restaurant and a natural choice for fathers day, but wish we had known everything they were out of up front so we didn't keep ordering things we couldn't get. I guess Sunday night is new and used to only be open for brunch, but the new hours aren't going to catch on if they're out of everything when you come in. It's usually very good, just frustrated that it was a special day that didn't go well.
The antiques make this homey. Our waiter was very good. But we did have some menu issues which we didn't understand. It was pricey for the quality of the food. It was also quite load.
Went to Worthington inn for father’s day brunch. We really enjoyed it! The crab cake Benedict was delicious.
The Worthington Inn's garden patio is the best in town. Intimate due to the trees and flowers.
The iron chairs are extremely uncomfortable as they lean back. We were able to borrow a cushion to put behind my Mom and I. That helped a lot.
My mother ordered the Ribeye Steak Special which was to be a 14 oz portion. The presentation was good and the sides were ample. However the steak was terrible: full of gristle and fat. Mom was having trouble cutting it so my husband took over. He was able to find 5 bites of good meat. I told the waitress and she immediately took it off of our bill. The other food was good, not great. The salmon was a very small portion and the grouper did not have much flavor.
Always love eating at The Worthington Inn. A little CRAZY on the Patio this visit with the kids out of school and the Honking at Graeters - A bit much but OK - Kids having FUN a GOOD WAY so No Complaining!!! We just talked in between HONGS! Then the Fire Engines roaring down the street. It was an eventful but FUN time on the Patio - Neighborhood dining at its Finest. WORTH the trip. Our Server was GREAT. Also, the Veggie Burger is one of the BEST in Town. I love the Northstar Burger but this one really does compete and may even Win as it can come with Fingerling Potatoes!
The food and service is always exceptional. Always.
Celebrated my dad's 70th birthday and retirement here with a group of 6 adults. The food was good, but not spectacular. The service was poor. The hostess seemed annoyed to seat us. Our server was less than interested in checking on us. After 30 minutes of reviewing the menu, we had to ask what the specials were. There was only one type of fish on the menu (salmon), which surprised me. The server was also annoyed to take a group photo of us despite the restaurant being less than 1/2 full.
Overall, I felt that the service put a damper on the evening. I had chosen Worthington Inn over the Refectory, but I will not make that mistake in the future. It's too bad because I was hoping for a nice evening there.
Out of town guest were happy and impressed by the food. I was disappointed that we were put in the first room and my guests did not get to experience the art. However it was quiet so we could converse which was goo
Very fresh and nice presentation. Relaxed and comfortable seating on the beautiful porch. Excellent waitress.
