We had a fantastic dinner at The Winery. In fact, the overall experience was stellar. Our server (James) was fantastic and did everything he could to make the evening special for all of us. That level of service is becoming a rarity these days, even at fine dining establishments. We will definitely be back sooner rather than later.
The food was very good and the service was excellent. Very attentive.
The food is great! The owner, Mr Lewis, always stops over to say hello to my 92 year old father and to make him feel special. The entire staff is warm and accommodating(and my father isn’t the easiest customer). I always have a wonderful experience here!
The Winery has, quite simply, the best service of any restaurant in OC. The staff always makes you feel like a VIP and at the same time, like you are family.
Great food and we got a booth as requested. The service was friendly, but slow.
Normally at the Winery, we order steak, but tonight we had something different. It's always DELICIOUS. Hubby ordered the Salmon. Perfectly cooked, served very warm over a bed of cooked grains and asparagus. YUM. I ordered the Bison Bolognese -- it arrived steaming hot, over a bit of rigatoni pasta. The mushrooms were perfect, but the dish was too RICH for me, and I couldn't finish it (but wanted to!). Our wines arrived at the perfect temp (Sauvignon Blanc chilly and Cabernet room temp), as did our appetizers: Heirloom tomatoes and a side of Grilled asparagus with Hollandaise (cold and steaming hot, respectively). Our server, James, seemed to arrive at our table at the perfect moment for ordering drinks, ordering entrees, and just checking in with us. We needed to get to a movie, so our dinner wasn't long and leisurely -- James got us served quickly, correctly, and out the door in approximately an hour (PERFECT!).
We had the best service and the most incredible meal! Looking forward to going back in 2 weeks!! Get the Mahi Mahi!
The dining experience at The Winery Restaurant is the result of the best of each of an extraordinary group of people whose efforts create a one of a kind culinary adventure for your taste buds!
The food and service was great, entrees were outstanding. The noise level was extremely loud and we found ourselves almost yelling at each other. Still the restaurant in Tustin is one of our favorites. Wish they could make the acoustics a bit less loud
Excellent service, the manager William goes out of his way to greet everyone and provide an extra touch of professionalization that is very hard to get from many other places.
I highly recommend this location for a great experience!!!
I just enjoyed the best Filet Minon that I have ever eaten in my entire life (and I am 77). Seriously. So lean. So tender. So tasty. Cooked perfectly. Service was outstanding.
This was our 20th+ and likely last visit. I feel like the service and food quality has been disappointing over the past 3 visits. For the prices I expect more.
The wait was very long even though i did my reservation weeks in advance. The witness Monica was very nice
Came here for Mother's Day Brunch and had such a horrible experience. I made reservations for 1pm, showed up 15 minutes before our reservations so that they would know to get our table ready. at 1:10pm the hostess said my table is being set up and would only take a couple minutes, at 1:20pm i asked again, and she said it will be ready in 2 minutes, and our table wasn't ready until 1:40pm. Once we placed our orders, our meal took about 1 hour to be served to us. not only that they didnt even provide bread until 40 minutes into our order. The food was subpar, they definitely over charge for mediocre food. My dad received cold soup and the eggs on our short rib dish were completely overdone. It was a horrible experience and we don't plan on coming back here.
This place is terrible. We walked out over an hour after our reservations after being sat over 20 minutes late, after 2 groups of our same size were sat, after tables that ordered after us were served and we still have not been served anything except bread and water. The manager asked to fix it by comping our meal. SMH Too late, it’s an hour from our seating time and my kids don’t have the milk we ordered for them yet. That’s not going to fix the gross lack of and likely race based service we experienced. Avoid this place would be my advice. They ruined my wife’s Mother’s Day meal. Poorly managed and horrible service.
WAY too expensive - $25 for a kid's meal! And the mother's day brunch did not even come with a mimosa!
Delicious food and great wine.
Prices are on the pricey side, but both Service and Food was excellent. We are coming back.
Amazing Food, Ambiance and Service !!
Stephanie was our Server - Professional, Stellar Product Knowledge, Attentive, Kind and checked back with us to make sure we were Happy and Content through our Dining Experience !!
We Celebrated Birthday’s / Party of 4 / My Friend turned 96 and Stephanie made her Day Very Special .... 5 Star Service !!
He food was fabulous and the service outstanding. Great little find.
We got seated very quickly even though we did have a reservation... We asked to change seating and were treated very well and friendly. We had the constant attention of the server. She was very friendly. Food arrived quickly and we were in and out in a timely fashion.
the Winery has great ambiance and a nice bar area, but the dining room service was slow and inefficient....even though the restaurant was not at all busy. While we enjoyed the evening overall, the salmon dinner was overcooked/dry and it took forever to get our sparkling water and cocktails. Our feeling was the server lacked experience. On the plus side: the wine list is excellent.
Staff was friendly and helpful. Wine selection is outstanding.
We had heard good things about this restaurant, but was not what we experienced. The special Filet w/bone was overpriced and just OK and not exceptional as it should have been. The rack of lamb was OK but again not exceptional as it should be for the price. One side dish was forgotten. Overall, not a great evening like we had hoped. We left feeling like we did not get good value for what we paid. Will not be a place we recommend to friends or return anytime soon.
As always, we love this place, the food, and the service. We are boring and order the same exact things every time. We typically eat dinner, walk to the movie theater, and then return after the movie for drinks and dessert. I think I have already reviewed them, but the Winery is our favorite restaurant and their food is amazing. Thanks.
First visit to The Winery. We were warmly welcomed and seated promptly. It was date night for the wife and I and the restaurant has a wonderful ambiance for a nice dinner for two. We had an amazing serving staff. The food was great. I had the kangaroo which was a first for me and was amazing. My wife had the shrimp and scallops which was wonderful also. We had a bottle of wine and the Sommelier was a nice touch as well. Very nice and diverse menu to choose from.
The only negative was that there were lots of open tables yet they sat us next to two other parties.
Our server,Garrett was awesome! Helped us pick out the best wine and food selection and was really sweet! Definitely would go back.
Excellent service. Food was superb, from the salad to the entree. This was our first time at this restaurant and we came for lunch. I had the best halibut I have ever eaten. We will definitely come back for dinner.
The Winery never disappoints! Great service, excellent food and a fabulous wine collection. The Winery has become one of our favorite restaurants and a go to when we want a tasty meal and outstanding service. The servers go out of their way to ensure our experience is memorable and that all of our needs are taken care of. I cannot recommend this spot enough.
I like the ambiance of this place. The service is always excellent. The server was very knowledgeable. The food is not bad, just not wowed.
The only thing I would suggest is that the lights weren't dimmed so low, it was hard to read the menu. Other than the the service, food, and ambiance were impeccable. I will be back soon
The Winery never fails to disappoint. Amazing food with one of the best wine lists in the County at both locations - Tustin and Newport Beach. Service is top notch.
The waiter took 30 minutes to serv water, we ask for the list of wines , they never give it, food was excelent, buyt the waiters services was really ppor, we want to try any wine, and never ofered , please try to improve the service
This was upscale dining but not intimidating as we are not wine drinkers or foodies. Corn chowder was amazing and both of our entrees also excellent. This was a birthday celebration with a complimentary dessert which was a nice touch. Server Steven was very friendly and professional and most of all made us feel very comfortable. We both had a great time and saw value for the money spent. Will try other locations but probably on special occasions.
My husband and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable lunch there today. We sat in the bar area and our waitress was very good, friendly and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the meal. We really needed this special time together so thank you, Winery restaurant in Tustin for the beautiful lunch. We will return.
Dinner was vert good and our server James very attentive. We had two appetizers and for entrees the duck and the lobster. We brought our own wine and corkage was $25. We were stuffed so passed on dessert.
I always liked this restaurant but last Friday the Food was sub par. I had the duck. Sliced breast and confit leg thigh. Confit was braised so long flavor and texture no good. Breast a little too rare. Served with gnocchi that were fried and tough and Inedible. Beet greens were bitter and not my favorite. Cherry reduction good. Wife’s dish was clams and shrimp with linguini according to menu. Pasta was flat pasta ribbons not linguine but she liked it however.
I believe we were treated poorly because of our age. We went greeted the same as the rest of the patrons who were attending their dinner plans. We did not receive the same service the tables around us did. We were extremely discouraged.
