The Winery Restaurant & Wine Bar- Tustin Ratings and Reviews
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary and had a great time. Food was great, service was great, and overall experience was very nice. The only thing that was a little bit of a nuisance was the cigar smoke coming into the lounge area while we had a drink waiting to be seated. Maybe a double door is needed to combat that? Just a suggestion :) It would not however keep us from coming back again to celebrate another special occasion.
Evening started out great; service, answering questions on the menu and specials, wine etc. Then we had to ask for a bread basket when we saw them being delivered to other tables. It was never offered. Shortly after we received our food a large group of obviously VERY SPECIAL PEOPLE was seated right next to us and from that point on, we were pretty much forgotten. I realize their bill was going to be at least 10 times ours but don't think that excuses being ignored. Managed to complete our meal and eventually get some dessert. Thought it was a little tacky for an upscale eatery.
Overall the meal was excellent and started out with excellent service.
Will probably be back
We went to celebrate our 65th wedding anniversary. We were seated in a comfortable booth Our server (Rachel) was a jewel, checking on us frequently, answering our questions, & making recommendations.
The food was excellent as to quality & presentation . The prices were fair for the excellence for everything.
The evening was magical.
Oysters, Cesar salad & rack of lamb were great. Side dishes of Brussels sprouts & squash potato gratin were very under cooked. Service was very good, but felt a bit rushed, they kept taking things away too often & quickly. Also a little on noisy side for romantic dinner.
Waiter was poor at best we ordered an appetizer oysters on the half shell oysters showed up 2 minutes after dinner had been delivered , ordered a bake potato never came. Waiter billed us for it when we brought it to his attention he got up set like I did something wrong we did not get water served until dinner was served . Guy with me wanted a second glass on wine waiter never showed up to ask just brought the bill after food was served bill was 400 dollars for 3 people . Felt like I could have gone to sizzler and got a lot better service . waiter was a black guy that appeared to be very new . Didn't even know they carried Bernase with my steak he kept telling me we can serve you crab Oscar style but no Bernase until I showed it to him on THERE menu. Flemmings and Ruth Chris better by far and better service . Jeff
Upscale restaurant, attractively decorated, with prices to match, although the availability of a couple of wines by the glass at $9 is to be considered almost reasonable these days. The food grade is based on my wife's rave reviews for her salmon dish, my buffalo was just O.K. and was on a bed of something I couldn't identify. Noise level can be a little high and I could have done without the live music.
Thanksgiving dinner at The Winery was outstanding. Excellent selection of appetizers and entrees on the Prix Fixe menu so you could tailor the meal to your preferences. Great wine list with some very nice half bottles (not seen very often anymore). The staff was extremely friendly and helpful including the valet, hostesses, waiters and sommelier. Food quality was excellent. We were seated on the patio which was quiet and very pleasant. I would strongly recommend this restaurant.
We went here for a nice dinner out in North OC.
We’ve eaten at the newport location many times and have always been impressed with the food and service. The tustin location disappoints. The menu didn’t even feel the same. The service not even close and the ambiance and decor begs to be remodeled. Like I said not even close to the newport location. We live in North Tustin and have struggled to
Find nice restaurants in the area. We were hoping this location would be the answer. Unfortunately we were disappointed. Hoping it gets remodeled and a new chef.
Has valet parking. Great host, especially the one from South Africa. She was on top of her game. We had a new waiter in training the dude was superb explaining the menu.... Food was good and I have no complaints other than the deserts. I think they should do a survey on what most desire to have.
