The Wine Bistro is a great place for light dinner fare, great selection of wine and a calm atmosphere. We love to introduce friends to this gem in our neighborhood!
Delicious. Food was delicious and service impeccable. Short ribs are terrific.
We love the Wine Bistro in Worthington! Tonight was no exception...we enjoyed the charcuterie board very much, and I loved the meatball appetizer. My date had the braised short ribs which he always raves about, served with risotto. Tonight the beef was a bit fatty, which was disappointing, but we’d still order them again. It’s a great dish. Love that the patio is open now, we’ll def be back soon for that!
I went there to meet three girlfriends for a Girls Night Out. We were not disappointed! We had patio seating and it was a beautiful Spring night and our server was exceptionally good! I like the fact that it was adults. Loved it! We will come again!...
Service and food is never consistent, good or fair. But never bad. Service is usually slow and staff seems poorly trained in Service 101. I still like the place and am always hoping for it to improve.
BTW...I presume you offer the noise level choice as Energetic because Loud would be a negative. You should offer Loud...because it is.
Still surprised they closed the Clintonville location.
Absolutely loved finding this place while in town for business. Will make it a point to go back when I'm in the area again.
Date night so not in a hurry. Not crowded but 80%full. Enjoyed two wine flights, a white and then a red. All six wines were good. We split the baked cheese which was excellent and then split a salad and a flatbread. Great evening.
Good food, super service and excellent value. It's a wine store plus a reasonable sized small and full plate menu. Servers know their wine... You can get their by the glass wines or any bottle in the store at retail plus small corkage fee. On Mondays and Tuesdays there's no corkage
Had a business meeting there for 7 of us and they handled us perfectly! Put us in the perfect location and attended to us greatly. Food was great! Had gluten free options. Wait staff was on top of it. We will definitely be back for other meetings. Thanks!
The wine was good. The service was slow for as unsubscribed as the restaurant was. The food was not very good.
Great for a fun dinner out with friends. The atmosphere is a cozy and fun vibe with it's decor and approach to wine selection by exploring all of the shelves lining the walls! The staff has always been very friendly and adds to the positive feelings of eating at The Wine Bistro.
Highly recommended. We had a book club meeting there and we had a great time!
We love the Wine Bistro and return as often as we are able to. There’s always something a little different on the menu to try but whatever it is we’ve had it and loved it!
Perfect wine tasting dinner
It was the perfect spot for our first date! Ambience was beautiful yet rustic, the food was outstanding, and it was fun being able to walk up and pick out your bottle of wine.
The Cajun shrimp risotto is the best in this place. Love love the the feel of the place.
This place is awesome. Great staff. Manager went out of his way to find some unique wines for my group to enjoy. Greta is probably the best server I have ever had. She makes you feel welcome and you can tell she enjoys her work. Rare to find now a days. The food is wonderful and fresh. Truly a fabulous experience at a fraction of the cost of similar establishments I have visited. Nice job everyone.
Enjoy the atmosphere, nice wine selection especially from Italy and Spain, at reasonable prices. In the cooler months get a table away from the front door, it can be fairly chilly.
Excellent food! Adrain was great!
Great wines and food. Service was on the slow side as they were very busy
Excellent service, food great value!
Wonderful food and service!
Our experience was not good. The server was friendly but forgot to order our appetizer, didn’t order me the entree I requested, and made mistakes on our bill.
My salmon ( I requested a grilled vegetable salad with salmon but got lettuce and tomato with salmon) was over cooked and dry. My husbands risotto was cold.
We were there almost three hours due to extremely long waits for everything.
We were told that a kitchen employee had cut himself, causing problems. Hopefully that person is ok, but I won't be rushing back.
Wine tasting was good and fast. Appetizer was slow, not hot enough and missing bread
Wonderful food service and experience!
Super friendly staff! We accidentally stayed a few minutes past close and they were more than gracious about it. They even packaged up a dessert to go for us. Our waiter was very knowledgeable of the menu and went out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. 10/10, would recommend!
I usually love this place, but tonight was a disappointment. Food was not as good as usual. My husband’s seat was wet. Our table was jammed next to a very loud table of people. And there was constant loud noise coming from the kitchen. Just surprised.
We enjoyed our visit as usual - it's one of our favorite easy spots to relax and enjoy reliably great food & service, in a smart casual atmosphere. The short ribs were everything I had hoped they'd be - tender and delicious. The creme brulee was excellent too- so happy they have it on the menu. We ordered a flatbread with the gluten free crust, and while I'm glad they offer a gluten-free option, they used to have a better, thinner gluten-free crust that I preferred.
My husband likes it because you can have a conversation and not have to yell.
The atmosphere was very nice. I liked the wines displayed for sale surrounding the restaurant. However, 3 out of 4 in our party ordered the Salmon. In every case it was way overcooked. One of us ordered the Beef Stroganoff and it came out cold, which had to be sent back and warmed up. The quality of food was very good, but the chef was off the mark on cooking. We also ordered a cheese plate before dinner and it was excellent.
Great meal and wine at the Wine Bistro! We love going there!
The overall experience was okay. This is not a place I would recommend for a nice dinner. The food was good, nothing special. It wasn’t bad, but I expected more for the price. They had an okay wine selection, but nothing close to what they should have had for calling themselves a wine bistro. Our server was terrible; she was inattentive and rather rude. This was most likely because over half our party were not wine drinkers and only ordered their meal. If you are looking for somewhere with a mediocre wine selection and mediocre food then this would be the place for you.
The restaurant week deal was a terrific value. But the food was so good that we’ll definitely go back any time of the year! The veal meatball was incredible, and we also quite enjoyed the beef short ribs and lobster/shrimp fettuccine. Obviously an extensive wine selection, and a solid handful of craft beers too (cans/bottles).
YOU NEED MUSIC!!! Loud conversation heard from all directions! Atmosphere is 50% along with food!
The food was good but the temperatures were very inconsistent. For example, we each ordered an appetizer and was mine was fine, my partners soup was barely lukewarm. Similar experience with the main course: my meals temperature was ok while his was again lukewarm. It was disappointing because I suspect the food quality was there if only the temperatures had been on point.
Columbus restaurant week. Food was good for the value except all desserts but 1 have nuts, I have an allergy and almost ate the apple crisp. Ingredients weren’t listed on special menus nor were they explained during service.
I enjoyed my meal, but it was a little overpriced. The service was slow, which was fine because I was catching up with a friend, but under other circumstances, it might have bothered me. I will go back. Nice place for a girls' night.
Food is always delicious and wine selection is great.
Had a great meal at The Wine Bistro for NYE. Good menu for sharing and would definitely recommend getting the Mediterranean popcorn and the Juliette flatbread. The best part of the meal was our server Adrian who was fun and attentive but didn’t intrude. Would recommend and will be back.
We went on New Years Eve and this understandably was a busy night. However, everyone who waited on us were sure to tell us how busy and overwhelming the night was. Though the restaurant did not feel busy at all. The tables were full, but there was not a wait, and it was not loud or frantic. We sat at our table for about 5 minutes before being offered drinks. We chose water and to wait for our friends to order wine. Our friends arrived a few minutes later, but we waited 20 minutes after they arrived for anyone to come back and get our order. Another 15 went by before we got our wine (from someone other than our waitress), and another 5-10 minutes went by until she took our dinner order. We waited at least 40 minutes for our food. The waitress had checked after we ordered about onions on my friends salad. She originally had ordered no onions and confirmed no onions and then was served a salad with onions and the wrong dressing. Of our 3 hot plates, 1 was hot. The other two were cold and had clearly say for awhile. We were given one bill at the end for the four of us and the waitress offered to split it up but she would have to find someone who knew how. We chose not to wait and just sort it out later. We arrived at the restaurant at 645 and did not leave until 915. It was not enjoyable night and the food was not worth the cost whatsoever. We won’t be back.
