The Wine Bistro - Upper Arlington
Choose a table for two, a relaxed seat in the soft seating area, gather a group at one of the communal tables or in the private tasting room. Shop for wine priced at near state minimum or pay a small corkage fee (waived on Mondays & Tuesdays) to enjoy your bottle in-house.
We look forward to exploring great wine and food with you soon...
The restaurant got busy quickly and we ended up not getting our meal before we had to leave to go to an event.
The place was busy. We waited over an hour and our food still hadn’t gotten our food. We had a show to get to and had to get our food to go. We’ve never had that happen before.
We were in Columbus for a meeting at OSU. This restaurant was a short walk from our hotel. It was an excellent choice on a warm evening so we could sit outside on their patio. Good entrees, well prepared and good service including a delicious dessert.
We celebrated my wife's birthday here on a Sunday evening. It was very enjoyable. The wine was excellent, as were the cocktails. The food was very good as well, and reasonably priced. The service was impeccable.
Good food and excellent service. Highly recommended for small group meetings.
Highly recommend the food during Happy Hour until 6:00 pm every day, except Saturday. Some wines and well drinks also have great prices during this time. The truffled mushrooms were outstanding. Also loved the flatbread. I had Chicken Saltimboca (sp?) as my main entree and also highly recommend. My husband had salmon on his salad and he felt the salmon was a little dry and overcooked. Next time he will order rare to medium and it should be creat. In all, we had a great time with a special friend!
One of our favorite go to’s.
Excellent wine choices. Loved the Rustica Appetizer of meats & cheeses. Liked my entree however, wished they had more choices. Dessert was good but was hoping for more choices & chocolate. Service was excellent and attentive.
Entertaining a friend from out of town. Wonderful evening sitting outside, enjoying a great rose, appetizers, and salads. Natalie, our server, was great!
We just like this place. The staff is friendly. The food and wine is great. It is just a nice place to meet friends and talk.
Jpoh, we just like YOU, and we appreciate you taking the time to leave such a nice review. We hope to see you and your friends again, soon!
Ambiance, wine, server, & baked brie were wonderful!
Thank you so much for the great review, KathyH! Baked brie and wine? Yes, please! :) Try the prosciutto-wrapped shrimp on your next visit. Hope to see you again, soon!
Our server was terrific -- personable, polite, attentive to every request.
This makes us happy to hear, Mary. Thank you for taking the time to review us. See you again, soon? We sure hope so!
Terrible service. We booked a 6pm reservation for 2 people on a Sunday before a concert at the Schott. Of course, I totally understand they are busy because of this, but they should have been staffed appropriately to manage reservations or have limited walk ins. It was 10 minutes before we got waters, at which point we said we were ready to order, she came back 5 minutes later. By 6:55pm we had not yet gotten salad served to us when she said "all the other people in the restaurant" have food tickets in before yours so it will be a long time before your food is ready. They managed to serve us wine while we waited so that was a plus. Anyway we got our bill settled up and left, found BBQ sandwiches at the concert. Don't go, before an event at the Schott anyway, food might be acceptable but the service makes it unbearable.
My wife and I went during restaurant week. We had the meatball as an appetizer, which was delicious. I could have eaten it as a dinner. My wife had the crab cakes for main dish which was very good. I had the shrimp risotto which was just OK. The wine flights were a little on the pricey side but Overall we had a really good dinner and the place gets an A+ for dining experience. Really enjoyed our overall experience. Will certainly go again
Great atmosphere, food and service, would recommend this restaurant
Good food and wine! We sat near the kitchen and it was very noisy - I’d recommend trying to sit somewhere else!
The menu and wine selection are wonderful. We enjoyed sitting outside on the shaded patio. Service was also great. Can't wait to go back!
Very pleasant and enjoyable. Enjoyed our food very much, particularly the fondue trio and the key lime pie!! Very quiet as well which was great!!
Very Hot Evening; we had a reservation on the Patio at 6:00 for 3 people. 2 people were seated at a 4 top under an umbrella so we were seated at a 6 top. We moved once a 4 top opened up to allow a party of 6 a place to sit. Always A Great Time at The Wine Bistro; in what ever town we go! Kudos!!!
We went to dinner with another couple for just a nice night out. We enjoy going to the Wine Bistro.
Server was rude and inattentive but food and environment were wonderful!
I usually go to the Wine Bistro in W esterville, but enjoyed Upper Arlington with out of town guests wh o liked it very much.
Everything was wonderful as usual. We started outside but the weather brought us inside. Outside was more cozy and quiet but inside was still nice. Our server was great and food as well.
Enjoyed our experience. But nothing exceptional.
The Wine Bistro is one of my favorite places to eat. We have family from Florida who come to Columbus every other year and we always go to the Bistro for dinner.
I thought for the price, our food was very bland (risotto with shrimp/citrus cream sauce) - no spice or much flavor, and very small portion.
Great place to meet one or many friends. Not only do you have a wide selection of wines, but the food and service is great. We love the either the shareable hummus trio and fondue trio as a starter.
Service was very slow and food was cold. Has potential and good environment
Great place to meet a friend or have a group dinner. The wine and food offers many options and all is good......so is the service.
It was freezing in the restaurant that night! Asked to have temp turned up and they did but it was still cold under the register.
Waitress was a little slow taking our order.
But the food was delicious! Onion soup is outstanding!
We were celebrating my daughter and son’s birthdays! We celebrated my son’s birthday here last year as well. I am from Pittsburgh, PA and love this place! I wish we had one in Pittsburgh!! I love the ambiance, food, staff! It is all excellent!
Great food as always. Slow service. All meals were not brought out at sane time. Little followup on meal. Took forever to get our bill after asking for it. The place was virtually empty.
Our server was delightful and very knowledgeable about the wines. The food was delicious and the ambience was perfect.
This was our second time to eat there and we enjoyed ourselves both times. Our server the first time was a bit more prompt and the second time service was a little slow but we didn’t mind because we were visiting with friends. I am surprised that you don’t have any bread that you brought out immediately. When I asked for some for our two year old, they had to bake nam for us. Your wine is always good. We will come again.
Great place for an interesting glass of wine and a small plate. Or share a bottle with friends over a delicious dinner. Cozy atmosphere and friendly for a single dinner or a group. Can't wait to return
Great food, quiet warm atmosphere and wonderful food!
Nice close by quiet location for a simple bite to eat and some good wine.
Obviously great wine selections. Can't go wrong with any menu item either. We had a huge flatbread, crabcakes, salmon, beef short ribs, chop chop salad and a soup. When we visit in Upper Arlington, this is a favorite.
Always love the Wine Bistro. Typically, if it's my mom and I we get a couple appetizers and a flatbread to share, which is more than enough for us. Usually, we ask to have the dishes come staggered and they are happy to accommodate.
Waiter was very knowledgeable and antentive. Food was excellent. HIGHLY RECOMMEND
