The Wine Bar
The wine list, created by sommelier and owner
Melissa Evans, is a representation of grape varietals, which excel in each wine producing region. The wine list changes frequently and showcases many esoteric and family-owned wineries.
Our menu is a selection of small plates, entrees,
fine cheeses and home-made desserts. We use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients including organic and free-range meats. It is our hope that you choose several items and enjoy the experience of different flavors while sipping one wine or several “tastes” of wines.
Daily: 4:00pm - 10:00pm
Terri took great care of us. She knew the menu and wine list perfectly and made excellent recommendations. Would definitely go back.
Food is great, wine selection is eclectic and the service is on point. Doesn’t get much better.
Super appetizer selection, fantastic entrees, wonderful desserts... superior wine selections.
Server was very friendly as was the hostess. Food was terrible. Bread came out with no butter or olive oil. Asked for oil for the table (6 of us) and were brought a tablespoon of oil in a dish the size of a quarter. Vegetable “paella” seemed to be frozen rice and peas and came with two pieces of asparagus and artichoke (though artichoke was delicious). One pizza was undercooked. One was burnt. Scallops were cooked so well done they looked like chicken. Restaurant was empty at 8 pm so I can’t imagine the kitchen was swamped with orders. Will return for the wine at the bar but not another meal.
The special with grilled bass and fingering potatoes was amazing. Our lead server, Terri, was friendly and fun and a total pro. Always LOVE coming here and have never been disappointed. Thank you!
The Wine bar has had it's up's and down's but having the old chef get back in there has sure fixed up the place. its now one of the top picks in town. The restaurant is also one of my favorites because they offer half orders on the entrees. making it perfect for trying new dishes when you can't decide.
This use to be our favorite restaurant in town, but the food was mediocre on Valentines night, the Duck was so tough we barely could eat it, left most on the plate.
Intimate, not too big or noisy and great food. knowledgeable and attentive staff.
We had dinner on Saturday evening with friends. As we were seated at 7:30 we were informed that several of the appetizers and entrees were no longer available. They were sold out. Considering there are only six entrees on the dinner menu it limited out choices. This happened again when our server gave us the dessert menu. Not a positive experience. The food we did order was average and the service was slow. I was also dismayed to realize they had a smoking room which affected the main dining room. We won’t be back.
Limited menu found only two item we liked . The lamb and scallops we very good. I’ll be back to Saratoga soon but will try another place
Outstanding service and menu! Highly recommend!!
Dinner was great and I love that you can get a smaller portion of most entrees. Incredible ambiance. Very elegant and cozy.
Our favorite place for wine and great cuisine with a zen atmosphere!
Our 1st trip. Excellent selection of cheeses. Limited number of entrees, but extremely well prepared and of course an extensive wine list including many good, reasonably priced wines.
It was my first time at the Wine Bar and it was recommended to me by a friend. I was pleased with the service, as well as with the food. The wine was delicious, and I love how they do a "tasting" and "glass" option before purchasing a bottle.
Love going here when I'm downtown
The food was very good and the wine, excellent. Our server was very attentive, however the kitchen had some problems. Appetizers came promptly. The main courses seemed a bit delayed and, for some reason, they couldn't get my salad to the table until the hot meals of my family had already been eaten. The hot meals were delicious, the salad was mediocre. I would give it another chance.
I had the best chicken breast overblack rice with figs and pecan nuts. This is my second time there and I plan to go back next year when I go to the race track. Very relaxing evening!!
Happy hour and dinner was incredible. The food and presentation was outstanding. Thank you for a wonderful evening.
Second time visiting The Wine Bar and the food and drink were just as good. Excellent cocktails in particular.
Did not like the cigar smoking and they ran out of burgers.
Food took 2 hours. Waited 20 mins for gelato. Ended up leaving without it. Food was good when it finally came out. People at the next table waited 2 1/2 hours for food and told they celebrated a birthday too loudly. Off our list. Too many great restaurants in Saratoga to be treated like this.
Great eclectic menu and outstanding service!
We had an enjoyable dinner and evening at the wine bar
Great evening. Food was fantastic, fit for foodies. Great wine list.
Usually very happy here but they were out of the wine we liked and ran out of bread, which isn't such a bad thing, but if the waiter had just brought over what they had (toasted baguette, which was fine) we would never had known otherwise. I thought I had read that this was more of a tapas bar, but the menu wasn't set up that way. Waiter was very nice and was able to let us sample a few wines. All in all a good experience, not great as it had been before.
Pork dish wasn't great, but the Duck was amazing. Overall reasonably priced for an eclectic menu. Restaurant was understanding given our party of 6 was 15 mins late.
Seated promptly, wine list was adequate, not extensive, pizza eggplant appetizer was dry, cold and tasteless. One of the main reasons I wanted to go here was for the Wild Boar entrée. It was NOT on the menu. They said they have not had a "chance" to update the menu online. I had pan-roasted chicken breast with forbidden rice and toasted pecans. It was tasty and cooked properly. Three people (we were 4) wanted Chilean sea bass, but the server said they only had two left. Weird because the place was not even close to full. I do not think I will return.
Too noisy upstairs. Too quiet downstairs. Nice wine list but the server not well informed. We wanted small plates. My memory from a few years ago is that there used to be more and better.
Surprised that on a Thursday night they are sold out of two appetizers, blue cheese and 3 of the wines on the menu. Service was poor, food was well done but good.
Obviously they have an ordering issue
Lovely facility easy walking distance from track. Have visited Wine Bar in Leesburg VA--the original Wine Bar did not disappoint. Everything was great!
Spend $200 for a dinner for two -- and the food was mediocre. Wines we tasted were quite good, though our first and second choices on the wine list were unavailable. Atmosphere and service were just fine, but I can't recommend this restaurant.
The chicken skewers were very tiny, which had us concerned as to the size of the remaining dishes, but we were pleasantly surprised. We order the burger and the sausage and rabe pizza, both were good portions and excellent taste! The vine selection was overwhelming but the staff was helpful with the selections and did not steer us wrong! Highly recommend this spot as a romantic night out or a girls night!
We had only appetizers and wine"tastes". Everything was perfect. I have enjoyed meals here on my last three annual visits to Saratoga.
Great place! Our 3rd time there. The menu is creative, wine list has a lot of great choices and always good service. We'll be back!
I love this place!! Great food and people. Desserts are a must.
The Wine Barbis a must whenever I am in Saratoga Sorings. The food is consistently great with a seasonal menu. The wine list is extensive and the service is wonderful!
Always love going here. Wonderful service, food and wines.
I absolutely loved the scallops. They were huge, sweet, and perfectly cooked. They were the best scallops I've eaten in a restaurant. My friend enjoyed his chicken pizza. Whenever we eat there I hope they have seafood without garlic and he loves their creative pizza selections.
