About The Wine Bar
The Wine Bar is the outcome of a desire and commitment to create an environment in which people can share a casual evening with friends enhanced by fine wines and superior quality food in a comfortable atmosphere.
The wine list, created by sommelier and owner
Melissa Evans, is a representation of grape varietals, which excel in each wine producing region. The wine list changes frequently and showcases many esoteric and family-owned wineries.
Our menu is a selection of small plates, entrees,
fine cheeses and home-made desserts. We use only the freshest, highest quality ingredients including organic and free-range meats. It is our hope that you choose several items and enjoy the experience of different flavors while sipping one wine or several “tastes” of wines.

The Wine Bar Ratings and Reviews
We had dinner on Saturday evening with friends. As we were seated at 7:30 we were informed that several of the appetizers and entrees were no longer available. They were sold out. Considering there are only six entrees on the dinner menu it limited out choices. This happened again when our server gave us the dessert menu. Not a positive experience. The food we did order was average and the service was slow. I was also dismayed to realize they had a smoking room which affected the main dining room. We won’t be back.
The food was very good and the wine, excellent. Our server was very attentive, however the kitchen had some problems. Appetizers came promptly. The main courses seemed a bit delayed and, for some reason, they couldn't get my salad to the table until the hot meals of my family had already been eaten. The hot meals were delicious, the salad was mediocre. I would give it another chance.
Food took 2 hours. Waited 20 mins for gelato. Ended up leaving without it. Food was good when it finally came out. People at the next table waited 2 1/2 hours for food and told they celebrated a birthday too loudly. Off our list. Too many great restaurants in Saratoga to be treated like this.
Usually very happy here but they were out of the wine we liked and ran out of bread, which isn't such a bad thing, but if the waiter had just brought over what they had (toasted baguette, which was fine) we would never had known otherwise. I thought I had read that this was more of a tapas bar, but the menu wasn't set up that way. Waiter was very nice and was able to let us sample a few wines. All in all a good experience, not great as it had been before.
Seated promptly, wine list was adequate, not extensive, pizza eggplant appetizer was dry, cold and tasteless. One of the main reasons I wanted to go here was for the Wild Boar entrée. It was NOT on the menu. They said they have not had a "chance" to update the menu online. I had pan-roasted chicken breast with forbidden rice and toasted pecans. It was tasty and cooked properly. Three people (we were 4) wanted Chilean sea bass, but the server said they only had two left. Weird because the place was not even close to full. I do not think I will return.
The chicken skewers were very tiny, which had us concerned as to the size of the remaining dishes, but we were pleasantly surprised. We order the burger and the sausage and rabe pizza, both were good portions and excellent taste! The vine selection was overwhelming but the staff was helpful with the selections and did not steer us wrong! Highly recommend this spot as a romantic night out or a girls night!
I absolutely loved the scallops. They were huge, sweet, and perfectly cooked. They were the best scallops I've eaten in a restaurant. My friend enjoyed his chicken pizza. Whenever we eat there I hope they have seafood without garlic and he loves their creative pizza selections.
They were out f the wine we ordered. Then they were out of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd entree I ordered. And instead of telling us what they were out of, our server let me decide 3 times and each said we don't have that. Finally got a burger and asked for greens with it, with the dressing on the side, but it came on the salad. Not a pleasant experience.
Very disappointed - cocktails were good but that's about it. I think our server was new, or just overwhelmed. And food was terrible - lacking flavor. My burger was so small and not very tasty. It came with maybe 10 fries on the side. Just not very good, won't be going back for food.
We have eaten at The Wine Bar before and loved the food and service. However, we literally waited one hour and a half before we were served bread or our cheese plate appetizer. The manager did take a bottle of wine off the bill, but the wait was incredibly long. The portion size is offered in small or large portions, which appealed to my group. Overall, since I've had positive experiences before, I will be back. But in the future, they should pay attention to making sure at least the bread basket is brought out!
