Awesome as always! Great place for family or friends getting together or a romantic dinner.
A must visit for dinner if you are a connoisseur of fine dining. Ranks among the best on the Jersey Shore
Similar to prior visits to The Wine Bar, food was excellent, service was excellent (thanks Brianna), and ambiance was excellent. See where this is going? Every time I've been to this restaurant, I've only had positive things to say. We were six people on a Saturday night. Restaurant seemed a bit quiet but it is the summertime. Anyway, that was to our advantage as the bar area was open allowing us to sit for a half hour for a round or two of drinks and we didn't have to share Brianna our server with too many other tables. I will certainly be back soon...
Did the lounge thing we were on a couch . Did the Tapas Menu and the Figs wrapped in Bacon “Awesome “, Filet Mignon sliders “Awesome too”. few other things and all good . Third time here .
Wonderful atmosphere, food and quality of service. The entertainment was top notch and extremely enjoyable.
Diverse menu and all of the food was excellent.
The bar/lounge area is roomy with either bar seating or couch/chair seating and live , mellow music.
Food was excellent; a bit noisy being open to the bar area. With having a large flight of stairs, wish they had an elevator for seniors, which I thought was the law for renovated structures.
Food was great staff was nice. I really appreciated the management and the way they took care of us.
Fun place to hang out. Our server was amazing! However, there was initially a little confusion. We didn't get our drink order taken for at least 15 minutes. Apparently there was some training going on, but that should not interfere with our order.
Once that was accomplished, everything else was great. The pianist was outstanding. It was a very upscale casual place to stop in for tapas and a drink. There are lots of lounge chairs to eat in at the piano bar. In fact the next time we go, we're going to stay in the lounge.
Everything was great except the portions were a little small for the cost
Such a great dinner and our waitress was wonderful !!
Always a wonderful evening, great atmosphere and love the live music and lounge.
They seemed to only have one waitress and one runner. The poor waitress tried her best but was the hostess, waitress, and bartender.
Always a pleasure
We very much enjoyed our dinners. Perfectly cooked fish and scallops along with excellent service.
From entering to leaving we had a very nice time at you establishment . The tapas we selected were all delicious .
Nice dinner! Excellent service.
While the meal that was eventually served to us was quite good, the service at the dining room at the Wine Bar was lackadaisical at best. With sloth like speed, it took nearly 40 minutes for someone to take our drink orders, and another 25 minutes to eventually receive our drinks and for our meal orders to be taken. The server also had to return to the table a few times to verify what we had ordered. And 20 minutes after we ordered, returned to inform us that one of the appetizers was not available. They were not even busy on the Thursday night that we visited. When we were seated we were the only table in the dining room, with another party of four seated a bit after us. Definitely not a pleasant dining experience. Please step up your game Wine Bar!
This restaurant is very nice & the food is great. The bartenders make good drinks. It's a very charming place.
Was expecting a livelier atmosphere but only the wine bar side was populated the restaurant empty on Friday night. The wine knowledge was poor...surprising in a wine bar...no sommelier
The food was executed poorly although the ingredients were fresh and balanced well on the plate...brown butter is not the same as melted butter and “had” means some level of brown on the potato or squash...not boiled
Service was sloppy even though only 1 table to serve...forgot knives, additional forks and then mistook we are not ready for dessert for we don’t want dessert and the check arrived
Won’t be back
Always a great experience.
We love The Wine Bar! Consistently great experiences there. Love the food AND the atmosphere. Love the fact that they don't foist a special menu on you on holidays like Valentines Day - just their regular menu with excellent apps and entrees at reasonable prices.
First time here on recommendation. Live music and welcoming atmosphere with lounge area and then having a great dinner in the dining area. My wife really enjoyed the hand crafted wine butter that was served with our bread on top of the butternut squash ravioli and scallops w beet and feta risoto. Great date night out!
First time eating dinner- have eaten at the bar previously. Absolutely delicious! We had 2 seafood dishes, scallops and the halibut cooked perfectly. Great wine and awesome service. Highly recommend
Great atmosphere. Comfortable. Terrific food, especially the burrata appetizer. Good for a late night drink. Creative bar area.
Always great service and food. Perfect ambiance for date night.
We came on a Friday night at 7:15 and were the only ones in the dining room. There is a wonderful lounge area with bar which was full with friends and couples lounging, drinking, and munching on a wide variety of tapas.. Since we came with Open Table and wished to accrue points, we were not sure that area would apply so had dinner. We could order a tapas selection as an appetizer from the lounge area, but were only told that after I inquired. My husband had the onion soup which came hot and was quite thick and delicious. My Caesar salad was a generous size, but nothing of note. When I requested fresh pepper, the pepper mill was simply placed on the table- no flourish of service there.. I requested fresh anchovies which is always a special treat for me on a Caesar salad, which they did not have— which indicates to me maybe the dressing was not housemade...? Our sweet server allowed us to share a main course and they even divided it in the kitchen-(a very nice touch).. We had the rack of lamb which was generously portioned and absolutely delicious along with wonderful roasted Brussel sprouts and potatoes... Our drinks and wine were also excellent. The service seemed on the slow side considering we were the only ones in the dining room— but we were ok with that. All in all- I would consider returning only for a special occasion, since I felt the entrees were priced on the high side. However, we’d definitely try the lounge area, for a more informal experience. By the way- the place is beautiful- and as an interior designer appreciated.
We both had fish dishes that were very good. Cocktails and wine options are excellent. Service is pretty good, but definitely has room for improvement. Their menus holders should be replaced, as they're tired and worn.
I really enjoyed my evening at The Wine Bar. The service was very good. I wish I knew our waitresses name because I would like to personally tell her what a great job she did on such a busy night. Our food was very good. We ordered broccoli rabe crostini’s & prosciutto & burrata as appetizers. They were both delicious. My daughter ordered butternut squash ravioli in a brown butter sauce. She found it to be a little too butter heavy. She could only eat two but said they were delicious. My husband and I ordered a special which was a tomahawk steak for two with fingerling potatoes and asparagus. We were very disappointed when this huge steak comes out to the table and it’s not cut for us. It’s sitting atop the potatoes & asparagus which makes it extremely difficult to cut. It was quite frustrating trying to cut this steak at the table and my husband was reluctant to send it back. However, the steak was absolutely delicious. We’ve recently had a tomahawk steak at another area restaurant in Red Bank and this on was ten times better. So good!! It’s just for $95 they should have cut it off the bone for us. I would definitely recommend this restaurant. They have great ambience and a great bar area to sit and have drinks in.
The ambiance was quiet and romantic. The entree’s and appetizers were delicious. The service was impressive and we will be back. A special shout out to Kaye, for finding the volume on the music. Thank tpi
Love, love, LOVE this place!
Pedestrian, uninspired menu. Poorly executed entrées - seemed to be pre-plated and warmed over. Extensive wine list with lots of gems, however. Service was OK, but not great. Not likely to return.
I want to love this place. I really, really do. The service just isn’t there. We were literally the only guests in the dining room and our server just want available. We had cocktails and ordered our bottle of wine right away and asked the server to bring it when it was ready. That didn’t happen. This happened to us before here so that’s why we asked for it. Our appetizers were out before our wine. My broccoli rabe appetizer was not hot, not even warm, but it was delicious. The prosciutto and burrata appetizer was delicious. The entrees were good but my pasta bolognese was not hot and had to be returned but I had to wait to find my server. I finally got the attention of the server for the lounge (one small party there) and she took it back for me. What I got back was definitely a bolognese but it looked completely different from what I had before. The bolognese comes with burrata on top which is a mistake because it’s cold and it just shouldn’t be eaten with hot pasta. Put ricotta if anything. There’s no reason for the service to be inattentive. It’s a consistent issue. We are going to table The Wine Bar for a while.
Everything was great. We all enjoyed our food choices. Service was wonderful. Loved the ambiance!! Would definitely go again.
Menu is limited. Prices on menu displayed on Open Table aren’t the same prices that are on the restaurant menu; they’ve increased. The sea bass, the only special, was $40. It came over a bed of vegetable risotto. The vegetables were the scraps, the stems of the vegetables, although the risotto was very creamy and rich. Our other entree was the chicken. This was on the menu. This was a TINY piece of baked chicken. So small, that when I bought it to the servers attention she said “she had to agree that it was not the normal size usually served”. She offered to ask the chef to make an additional piece but I declined. I wasn’t comfortable with that! The chicken came with a plateful of shredded carrots, dried cranberries and cabbage. Really? I really felt that I was “taken”. The restaurant was empty for a Saturday evening at 8pmish but after I saw our entrees I quickly understood why! I really don’t appreciate that the restaurant chef or owner can think that their fooling the customer! Their fooling themselves. It’s obvious that the customer just goes away quietly! It’s a shame because it’s a very nice, upscale, restaurant with great ambiance! It’s clear that they have been pulling this for quite some time and the customers have gone and found other places.
Great spot to relax and enjoy the beautiful atmosphere. The food and service was exceptional. The only down side is that there are several steps to go up in order to get to it. Not great for anyone who has had a few too many glasses of wine.
Great lounge area for before or after dinner. All four of us loved the meals. Very nice experience
This is my 4th visit. The menu hasn't changed. The specials this week were "steak" specials. I had a question about the appetizer special. I didn't know if it was an artichoke dip or an actual artichoke. The waitress said she would find out but didn't come back with an answer. The ginger beer my husband ordered was in a small glass. Last time it was in a tall glass. Same price. My martini had a "slice" of lemon not a twist. The slice had pits which floated into my drink. These are not terrible things but they annoyed me.
Our first visit....food was amazing...scallops to die for and gelato was over the top delish.
Disappointed because it was highly recommended. Food was cold appetizer was small and cold.
