We serve a large selection of lagers, fine ales, ciders and Guinness along with an extensive range of spirits, soft drinks and red and white house wines, available by the glass or the bottle. I don’t feel I am able to give a good review as I left the pub early and was sick after eating scampi. I rang the pub up to explain and the lady who answered the phone said the manager would be in in the morning and she would pass the message on , but no one rang me to even ask if I was ok.

We visited this pub many times before and always received a warm friendly welcome and the food and service were excellent! However, Its seems this place now, with new management struggles with a negative review, and decides to announce on trip advisor you are not welcome anymore comfortingly I am not the only one....it seems if you the management don't agree they report or ban you. Claims were made about our behaviour to a member of staff, my partner spoke to the aspiring manager at the end of the bar out of ear shot, not in front of other customers and I have 4 witnesses to this. The aspiring manager was left on her own to deal with not only my complaints but from several other visitors. When we asked for a manager they were not around, but quick to check trip advisor. The food was cold on arrival after an hours wait and we were told several times before it was coming! I think the manager needs to accept bad reviews and maybe put it right? I'm not welcome any more but I never had any intention of returning!

Food was good, gravy for Sunday roast was excellent, good amount, Yorkshire puds disappointing. Waiter polite, friendly and attentive.

It was a quiet lunchtime but we had poor service with indifferent food. The staff after bringing the menu did not even bother to come over to take our order for deserts or coffees. We will not go again.

The Windmill keeps up its standards very well. Although the menu is a little limited, the food is of a good standard, and the service wait was acceptable. The price of wine by the glass was a lot lower than many pub restaurants I have been to.

First time that we've been since the new owners took over, has been refreshed through out, lovely meal reasonably priced, plenty of staff to meet your needs, highly recommended

We meet here quite frequently and even though it has changed hands the staff and food is still as good. We would prefer our veg to be served separately like it used to be so you can help yourself and get as much or little as you want. The veg was lovely but hadn't been drained fully so there was a pool of water on our plate, but it didn't spoil anything else on the plate. Pudding was fab! Will be back soon!
