I have to say we were extremely disappointed with Willows. The only good thing was the host and server (Adrianna). I made reservations for my boyfriend’s birthday and his meal was the worst meal that we have ever had at a restaurant. He ordered the ribeye medium rare, which was $36.00, but the quality was not even close to that price. The cut of the meat was awful; we could have gone to BJ’s to purchase one that was better quality. One end of the ribeye was rare and the other end was cooked well done. We joked stating that you could see every way a steak should be cooked for training purposes. It went from rare, med rare, medium to well in just this one ribeye. They were out of the bottle of wine that we really wanted, but our server suggested another one that was good. Overall, I expected so much more from Willows. I hate to say it, but I would never return, nor recommend this place to anyone.

The Steak was as good or better quality than any high-end steak house and was cooked to perfection. The price was the same also..

Hi Willows team: Much of a business travelers day is spent away from family/friends. Your Willows team was MORE THAN KIND to help us have a good day/evening and prepare for sessions with our client. You have a SUPER great staff. they pay attention to details, make things personal, and accommodated our team. We hope to be back! Best, Juli (Infor).

ps we had 4 at the hotel that evening. I was there 2 days. Front desk, team at the bar/sports bar...AWESOME - go staff!

The service was impeccable, friendly, professional and helpful. Nancy went out of her way to make sure we had an enjoyable meal. My husband has a problem sitting for long periods of time in most restaurants. These seats are soooo very comfortable he was able to sit for almost 2 hours. The teenagers had no problem finding something they liked. A great brunch and we really all enjoyed everything. I love going to the Willows.

The food was terrible.

The scallops were not properly seared. I'm guessing the pan wasn't hot enough when the scallops went in because they were practically steamed to rubber.

The Ossobucco was not braised long enough because the meat wasn't "fall off the bone" the closer I got to the bone. The sauce served with it was not good, it tasted like it might have come from a can.

On both dishes the risotto was overcooked and bland.

The bread was amazing and so was the French onion soup appetizer. The service was also great.

With a prix fix of $65 for an appetizer, entree and dessert, we were anticipating a spectacular Valentine's Day dinner. NOT AT ALL. The roasted beet soup was tasty, but not at all smooth. My husband enjoyed his Cornish hens. My petite filet ordered medium came out bleeding the first time, still quite rare the second time and finally on the third try as ordered. The accompanying shrimp were definitely not wild caught. By this point, my husband had finished his meal. I asked to have my dinner and dessert wrapped. Once home, I looked at the large fresh strawberries and winced at their lack of ripeness. The fudge and caramel for dipping was just okay. Although I was informed that my meal problem was spoken about with the manager, that made no difference. If this restaurant cares to survive, the chef must care about the food he/she cooks.

This was my first time in for dinner. I love the restaurant. It is very elegant and I would go back in a heartbeat. I've been in for Mothers day.
The service was topnotch.
I will be going back and telling more people about this restaurant.
The food is really good.
Wish I had known before that the food and service was going to be this good.
I will try the bar area.
People need to know they don't have to go out of town to get this level of food and service.

First time at Willows after reading the Open Table reviews. We were the very first to arrive for the evening service and were warmly greeted by Ivette. My husband had the kobi burger and I had the steak frites. Willows signature is popovers instead of bread. I will take Willows popovers over a basket of bread any day! They were hot, cheesy and delicious! My husband enjoyed his burger that were accompanied by truffle Parmesan fries and my steak was amazingly tender. Ivette pleasantly stopped by throughout our meal to ensure we had want we needed to enjoy our meal. WE DID. Definitely a come backer!

We had a nice experience, and within our group of four, there were differing selections, all of which were quite satisfying to the diner. Our waitress was very friendly and accommodating and helped to make the evening enjoyable. I would like to return personally, and would recommend it to friends, especially since it is an easy ride from where I live!

Was seated, took our order, asked about their fingerling potatoes and was told they were mashed. Candles on tables were not lit due to having no lighter. Dinner arrived, fingerling potatoes were not mashed, they were dried out breakfast potatoes, similar to what you would get in a breakfast diner, and the other order was cornish hen that was so under cooked that it was bleeding onto the plate and into the side dish. Took the chicken back. Manager came out and asked what happened, took him, asked what we were drinking, said water, and told us he would take care of it. Meanwhile the other dinner was consumed, finished and plate cleared while waiting for the chicken. Finally chicken arrived, cooked to perfection. Received the bill with the full amount, sent bill back and asked for the manager, received new bill with the cornish hen cost removed paid and left. Advertised as fine dinning with prices to match, but doesn't live up to the claim.

Please try this restaurantt. It is really, really good. It is in kind of a not so cool venue but he food, service, atmosphere is great. It is nice and quiet so I suppose if crowds come the noise level will increase but that's OK because all the other things about this dining experience are good enough to make up for it.

We were very, very disappointed .
I never had a worst meal. My husbands scallops were mediocre, but my "Special" was not edible. Swimming in sauce and no flavor. We asked several times if this was their regular chef and were told it was.
No apologies were made.
The service was very nice and we felt sorry for the young woman having to serve such substandard food.
A place to avoid!

Most hotel restaurants are mediocre at best and rip-offs at worst. The Willows was mostly a pleasant surprise. Any meal that starts with a fresh pop-over usually can't be that bad. They serve one with a dish of sweet butter and one of salted butter. Stick with the salted - or maybe a herb infused? The French Onion soup was appropriately done, but it was the first time that there wasn't some melted cheese spilling over the sides (my favorite part, actually). It was a tidy presentation. The individual paella was again, plated beautifully, but didn't have that traditional crust on the bottom of the plated rice. All the seafood was cooked well and had a nice spice level. The highlight was the chocolate martini - the best one I have ever had. Not too rich, not too sweet - perfect blend. Paired with cherry cobbler, it's close to dessert perfection. It does get loud when the restaurant is full but the waitstaff are pleasant and knowledgeable. If I found myself there again, I wouldn't complain.

I had never heard of The Willows before we went there on a whim after seeing it available on OpenTable. We were skeptical due to the fact that it was at a hotel, but there were some pretty good reviews out there.

We were very pleasantly surprised. It was one of the best meals we've had in a while. We enjoyed everything we ate including the seared Ahi Tuna, french onion soup, Mahi Mahi special, New York strip steak (cooked perfectly), and chocolate molten lava cake for dessert. Considering the prices were comparable, if not lower than similar scaled restaurants around us we were quite pleased. We now have a local hidden gem that we plan on going to whenever we'd like a QUIET date night.

I say quiet, because we were literally the only people in the restaurant from about 7:15pm (on a Friday night), until our entrees came. And even then, there was just one other couple dining with us the rest of the night. I don't know if they are more crowded at other times, but I'm shocked the food was so good with so few customers.

Only other small knock was that the wait staff was a little disorganized, but I can't really blame them based on how slow they probably usually are. Our waitress was very nice though and definitely improved the evening more than anything by offering good recommendations and letting us enjoy our meal without feeling rushed.

If you live in the Bristol area, I definitely suggest trying this place out with an open mind!

Some great things. Some things that need improvement. The great things - my meal was delicious (I had the salmon). The sweet potato soup was amazing for both of us!!! The popovers with the different kids of butter were great too. Our server was very attentive. My husband's salad was hearty for the price. It is very pretty inside. Love the menu. Now, some things that need a little improvement - my husband did not care for his duck. And the lay-out with the bench/tables seems cramped. Never liked that set-up. People are on top of each other. I am glad to see this place doing more business. It is a very good place to eat!

I really wanted this restaurant to be great. Its contemporary decor is clean and meticulous and there are not any of what I would call "fine dining " options in Bristol. I must admit the waitress was wonderful and tried to accommodate all our wishes from seating to cocktails.
The popovers served as our bread basket initially must have been old because they were tasteless. My Kobe beef burger was way overdone for med-well. It was served on a plain hamburger bun with some tasteless brown sauce and ketchup. The dill pickle on the side was limp along with the lettuce. The salad served while fresh, was in the most odd shaped bowl and every time you attempted to use the fork the salad spilled over the side of the bowl onto the table! My companions steak was tough and also way over done for med-well. The veggies were some sad green beans and a few slivers of tasteless carrots. Dessert of a apple pear cobbler had some really hard pieces of ?? mixed in to it.
We left saddened that a fine establishment as the DoubleTree (having stayed at other DoubleTrees and had better meals) had such, what we hope, was an off night.
