Food and ambiance great. Service was at high speed, barely finished our salads and entrees were being delivered could have been in and out in an hour. Not the service expected from a Fairmont hotel restaurant.

My group was just underwhelmed. There were so many misses in the front (host and waiter), suggesting that someone should review the management. A well run restaurant should not need waiters "auctioning" the dishes ("who ordered the chicken" etc), bringing out multiple courses at once, room temperature white wine, and staff that appears so totally freaked out that it is difficult to relax. The wine list is a serious profit center, with too little consideration of value. If you are staying in the hotel and don't want to leave, perhaps just lower your expectations and eat in the bar.

We love the wildflower but the duck leg was sparse and then I ordered ice cream for dessert and was given a kids ice cream with sprinkles on it ... I am 43 and my 9 yr old was given an adult brownie dessert - mix up which server was aware of but didn't sort out. Normally service outstanding. Husband had lamb shank and was fantastic. Would be good if they could have a more treasonable selection of wine with some better price points.

I went to Wildflower with my husband and 4 of our closest friends. We were in town for a skiing vacation and needed a place for 6 for dinner. The service was outstanding. We were greeted immediately upon arrival and seated within a minute. The waiter was fantastic: attentive, knowledgeable and he had a wonderful demeanor. He made our meal more enjoyable. The food was fantastic and everyone found something on the menu. I had a delicious cocktail and my friends enjoyed a bottle of wine.

Wonderful ambiance, perfect for a romantic dinner. Food was a tad on the salty side but otherwise delicious and fresh. Service was impeccable.

This was not "Hotel" food ! As a very frequent traveler I tend to avoid hotel restaurants. The Wildflower is an exception . It will be on my list every time I visit Whistler!

My boyfriend and I recently dined at the Wildflower in Whistler. The space was beautiful and cozy. We ordered the carpaccio to start while my boyfriend had the bison as his main (as per the hostess’ recommendation) and I had the ling cod. Our mains came before our starter but that wasn’t a huge bother, though unexpected. The “roasted” ling cod was moist but lacked a crispy finish (as I would expect) and was overall underwhelming in flavour. The bison was nice and tender but the lumberjack fries were mediocre potato wedges with what seemed to be a small amount of boiled broccoli. Our meals were followed by the carpaccio which was nice but lacked an acidity. Service was impeccable and our server was lovely. Wine was also nice.

Two of us had a shared dinner for two after a full day on the slopes. It was a good value, tasted great and quite satisfying. It was reasonably priced and quite relaxing in a very nice setting.

We enjoyed our last dinner while visiting Whistler/Blackcomb at the Wildflower. Everything was great. There are good Vegetarian options which is not always easy to find in Whistler. Highly recommended.

Took the family here for dinner whilst at the the hotel . Have to say the experience wasn’t very good. Service was terrible, the food came and was over salted . Overall not a nice time . We’ve tried the grill room and enjoyed it . So if your interested in dinning in hotel , chose the Grill Room .

Unhappy

We took the free shuttle bus from Whistler Village and were delighted with the surroundings at the Fairmont Chateau. We quickly found the Wildflower Restaurant where we were made very welcome and shown to our table. The food was fantastic and the service, by Anna, was excellent. If we are ever in Whistler again, this place is a must. A little pricey to be honest, but no more than I would expect for food of this quality, so good value in my opinion.

Excellent food and impeccable service are the hallmark of all the restaurants at the Fairmount. The Wildflower is a good example, although it is one notch below its next door neighbor, The Grill. Great salmon, bland cioppino, fantastic mushroom and other sides.

We thoroughly enjoyed our birthday dinner for 3. Any reservations we may have had about a restaurant in a hotel were blown away quickly by the front desk staff, our coats were taken for us, and without asking , were given an improvement on our table location. Our server, Martin, was great; he was entertaining and very personable. Oh, yes, and the food was really superb.

Loved the 3 course special meal they had for conference attendees. The seafood chowder was substantial and mouthwatering. The Caesar salad was pretty good too and was creatively presented. I liked the concept of shared main course and the BC seafood grill was well presented and tasty. The cakes were the weakest part of the meal - they had too much heavy buttercream. The restaurant should put the shared mains on its regular menu in future.
